The Bahamas reopened its borders.
Starting November 1, travelers entering The Bahamas will no longer need to Vacation-in-Place.
Traveler must have a COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 5 days prior to arrival. No other type of COVID-19 test is accepted. Children under the age of 10 and airline pilots and crew who remain overnight in The Bahamas are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 PCR-RT test result.
Travelers must apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa. Confirmation will be provided via email. Each traveler must have their confirmation on hand upon arrival at their destination. Travelers must also upload their negative COVID-19 test result. Travel Health Visa applications take up to 72 hours to process and should be completed with adequate lead time.
Traveler with a COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within 7 days prior to arrival are still allowed to enter until November 6, if they booked their trip before November 1.
Starting November 14, as part of the Travel Health Visa application, travelers will be required to opt-in to COVID-19 health insurance that covers them for the duration of their stay.
Travelers who exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 at any time during their stay will be required to take a Rapid Antigen Test and receive a negative result before being permitted to continue their vacation.
Travelers who tested positive will be subject to a follow up with a COVID-19 RT-PCR swab test.
Travelers who are staying longer than 5 days will be required to take a Rapid Antigen Test.

Cons: "The connection in Miami didn’t happen - the flights crew on the ORLANDO yo to Miami flight were rude and unhelpful - the plane sat in the tarmac waiting for a gate so flight arrived 15 minutes before planned departure - we inquired as to whether the plane would be held - response- despite having internet access was “ I don’t know “ you’ll have to check with gate agent - oh and by the way the flight attendant was virtually laying on the front seats - she as grossly obese and was so large as he walked the aisles she would hit passengers every time she turned around - we ran to the gate arriving 8 minutes before departure - gate was shut two gate agents were reading social media posts on their phones - we inquired about the flight - the gate agent said “ you missed the flight “ and then sat down and continued on her phone - the other one at least looked up and told us where to them go for assistance - eventually we were assisted and offferd 1 to wait u til the next day to go or to go through London - we took the London option. 1. I was informed by anAA employee they the connection is frequently missed due to similar problems. 2. Flight attendants and gate agents will bankrupt the airline with their horrible attitude. - they should be fired."

We finally got off the ground almost three hours late but staff tried to be as helpful as possible though they didn’t know much. It was good the passengers seemed fairly patient and accepting. The horror was at the airport in Venice where it took over two hours in very long line just to get through passport check."

Cons: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."

I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

I lost my money and flight, they wouldn't even let suspend the ticket for later used. Worst experience ever"
Cons: "I didn't like the fact that if you're cold on the flight unless you're flying first class, you're subject to freeze the entire ride to your next destination. I was told " we only have blankets for 1st class boarding only". So my economy class is not expensive enough to be comfortable and warm on our trips as we'll. I think its very ridiculous, and immature that because I fly a different class of flight im subject to be very uncomfortable the rest of my flight. Someone should do something about this prejudice rule against flyers."

Cons: "The lack of communication, I received an email about my flight changing at 9am but I did not see it because I was at the airport. No one at the gate said anything to us until we started going to the counter. I was switched to a standby flight which the employee thought it was more important to get an employees husband on and offered me a seat for $1,300 in first class if I wanted to get on "that bad" or another flight 3 1/2 hours later that would not qualify me for a lunch ticket. That 1:40 flight was delayed and we stayed sitting in the plane waiting for permission to leave at 2:56pm. I was to be in NY at 3pm to meet my family on other flights but I got there at 6:30pm while they waited for hours!!! Communication is very important, I know that incidents happen, but this was ridiculous! The flight attendants even ran out of free pretzel snacks and offered items for purchase. Will not forget this experience for a while."

And your agents my God y’all does teach them how to lie a? Because every hour they does say the plane coming and never reach tell 5 hours later. About 30 minutes later, we were back on a flight to FLL and had to move gates again. This was quite annoying and disorganized. Was not a good experience on Bahamasair at all. Will never fly them again."

Cons: "a manager named Kendal at pbi accosted me on the Tarmac and threatened to put me on the no fly list because I had brought my fishing poles. I already went through tsa screening.already talked to two different customer service reps before I left for the airport about carry on rods. My rods were already handed off to the Tarmac check guy and loaded. I had a foot on the stairs of the plane. One side of the planes engine was already on and this manager shouted at me from the gate doors. I met him and he asked me how and why I brought my rods. I told him I talked to two different reps on the phone and tsa let me through. He told me it was illegal and he was gonna put me on the no fly list if I ever did that again. I told him no way it was illegal and I had already asked he kept threatening me it was illegal and he was gonna put me on the no fly list for doing it. I walked away and boarded the plane. I'm going to call Bahamas air later and make a complaint. His name is Kendal at Bahamas air palm beach international. He is rude mean and overstepping his authority. No fly list!! I'm pissed I had to deal with someone so unhappy and rude and threatening. Planes are old and rickidy. Prone to brake down. I've flow them at least 8 times."

I thought I had her on my ticket when I bought them but I didn't so by the time I put her on my ticket in my lap they charge me 10% of what the ticket was priced at then not whenever we purchase them. Cons: "i would not fly again if possible. My trip consisted of 3 flights, starting in Fort. Lauderdalento to Orlando, Orlando to Denver, and Dever to Aspen. However, The first flight operated by Silver (a partner of United) was delayed due to "maintenance". Due to this delay, we missed our connecting flights and had to get new flights, causing us to have an over night layover in Chicago and then arriving in Aspen Sunday, the next day of our original arrival day. I just want to add that I saw on the departure board that Silver had maybe 16 flights that morning/ afternoon and maybe 7-8 of those flights, including mine, were delay or canceled. Not to mention they never updated their board to reflect our flight was delayed. The only good comment I have was that the Silver attendent who helped us get a new flight was very helpful."

However the stewardess changed the baggage policy that's clearly stated online forcing me to check my properly sized carry on. Then followed me to my seat and was told my personal item (backpack) also needed to be checked. Next time I will fly Southwest or JetBlue or just wake up earlier and drive. Not worth being late to my surgery in Tampa due to baggage policy for crying out loud."

My flight was supposed to arrive at my destination at 3:47pm, yet we didn't board the plane that was supposed to leave at 2:25 until 4:20, despite no weather delays or issues with the plane. The only explanation was the plane was "scheduled" to land at 3:47. Even better they only announced this change 5 minutes before our departure time, and we're very unapologetic about it, as though it's commonplace and completely acceptable. Don't fly Silver Airways, and be careful booking with United, as they will place you in one of these companies. it amazed me at how in the 4 hours I was there, I counted 3 flights that were delayed besides mine. Just horrendous all around."

We were maybe 6th inline and was told we had to wait because Orlando had to release our flight. This didn't happen for 3 hours. We stood in line waiting while others were able to rebook tickets right away for 3 hours. Tried calling the company and no one answered. The man at the booth was very rude, telling us this was a curtosey and didn't have to rebook our flight. He also yelled at the passengers multiple times."

The person at the ticket counter didn't care about me at all. I was just a number. They said JetBlue had to call them for me to get on another flight Jetblue wouldn't do this because It wasn't on my Itinerary. All Silver had to do was check the Jetblue status and they would of seen I was over an hour late into Ft. Lauderdale. However the ticket person refused."

Cons: "Arrived on transfer 60 minutes prior to flight and were told needed to be there 2hours early, we'd never make it through security. Made us go back to partner (JetBlue) airline in another terminal we'd just come from. After running 1/2 mile between 2 terminals in 90+ degree heat they booked us on the next flight which was again 60 minutes away. JetBlue said they could have just called them but them made us run around, literally. In the end the first flight was delayed and we could easily have made it as when we got to security we were the only people there. Took less then 5 minutes to get from check-in to terminal. Ridiculous amount of stress and run around for no reason. Don't expect good service from these guys in FTT!"

They told me the plane was there, then they where waiting on the crew. (Crew was sitting next to me. In uniform. Common sense would have said not to fabricate this). On my last interaction the man behind the counter made fun of my limp- not acceptable. When Irequested to speak to the manager, she came up and promised to take care of the situation. She never even addressed the situation with the employee. I even have statements I kept from random people witnessing this, with contact information. Another failure. I have flown with silver for a long time and prob will not fly with them again. No reason to treat anyone like that. As a traveler with plans beyond your flight, I expect to be on time, or at least have a reasonable reason as to why I'm late. So I can adjust my schedule accordingly. Lies and false statements promising me 20 more minutes every time I ask is lazy and unprofessional. Who's gonna pay for my rehearsal dinner hat I missed and had to cancel? Im going to social media next with my story and how silver handled this."
