Cons: "Initially delayed by 3hours (mechanical) which was American Eagle couldn’t get their “bucket of bolts” to Springfield, MO on time so we missed our flight out of Charlotte to Barcelona. Then we were rerouted through Chicago, but lost our first class seats and were bumped back to coach. This was after I had bought first class tickets for the entire trip only to be told 3 months before leaving that AA decided to switch planes on our domestic flight so there’s were no first class seats. THEN, in Chicago we tried to get first class seats on British Airways which would have been fine but After being sent to another terminal (after the bus to that terminal had stopped running) we were turned back because British Airways wouldn’t accept the boarding pass that AA had issued us. Now, having to go back to the first terminal to DISCUSS all this, we miss that flight and wind up stuck in Chicago for another 24 hours. Then, that flight was delayed by 3 hours, so we lost a day and a half of our vacation."

Cons: "The airline "randomly" selected me for extra security. Even though I have TSA pre-check I was jostled around, sent to multiple security lines without any reasoning and the local Chicago TSA and airport staff didn't seem to know what to do. Once it was figured out I was subjected to what was essentially a cavity search. Again I HAVE TSA-pre-check but apparently that means nothing if an airline flags you. It was an extremely upsetting experience but you were in a situation of either agree to the invasive search or get stranded over 1000 miles from home. I will NEVER fly Iberia again after a cancelled flight and being stranded in the wrong country on the way to my vacation and the horrible security experience on the way back. I seriously may never go to Chicago either after seeing the complete lack of organization and traumatizing personal invasion. I fly a lot for work and have never had such a horrible experience. I would really like to know how many terrorists are caught with these invasive searches and would love to know the justification for sticking your hands inside someone's pants and grabbing their privates after they have already gone through a metal detector AND the body scanner. Especially for someone who has already passed a federal background check to obtain pre-check status. Absolutely ridiculous."

Cons: "The flight was delayed more times than I can count, we got a different reason each time. Weather I can understand, but telling us we are waiting on a specific crew to arrive and then announcing that crew is not for our flight was just terrible communication. No one seemed apologetic. The only thing they did was bring a snack cart over for us, and that got raided by children so many people didn't get anything. We had arranged transport from Orlando to Tampa for that evening, and our rides had to cancel because instead of 7pm we were now arriving at 130am. Your airline's mistakes put everyone at an inconvenience and we weren't offered assistance to fix it. My husband went to ask for help in arranging new transport home, but he couldn't even get to the front of the line. The customer service was terrible. We really enjoyed our first leg of the flight home with American Airlines, but after the second leg and all of the problems we had... we will not fly with American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "Everything else! We were first sold a British airlines flight, and then we got switched to American Airlines. I don't know if that is actually an okay thing for them to do. When we got onto to plane we were stuck on the runway for over 2 1/2 hours, where the outside temperature was 95 degrees and the AC in the plane didn't work. The delay was all due to a mechanical difficulty with the engine, this did not give us peace of mind when flying over the atlantic. while up in the air my newly wedded wife and I were hoping maybe we could watch a movie to help keep our minds off the creaking of the wings, the pool of sweat from the delay, and the grumpy flight attendants. Seeing as it was a 9 hour international flight, you would have expected some sort of entertainment. Maybe a personal TV.... nope. Maybe a community TV... nope. At least they have to have a radio....... nope. All we got were our two thumbs to twiddle. After a much needed nap. We woke up hoping maybe for a hot breakfast, but to put the cherry on top of some terrible ice cream, we got a mediocre cold breakfast. All in all I will not fly American Airlines again. I would happily and quickly pay double for any other airlines but them. It's such a poor reprisentation of our country."

Several people weren't given seat assignments until time to board, even if other people in their party were assignments seats when checking in. No ecplanaation of why. In flight entertainment was an older movie. No options, and no sound if you forgot your own headphones."

Cons: "It was a full flight, anyone in loading zones 7-9 were required to check their carry-on luggage. We were in loading zone 6, so not required and preferred not to due to our full day of air travel that would continue into a 3 hour car trip. My husband reached the gate, his ticket scanned, and let onto the plane. I walk up next, my ticket is scanned and then the personnel at the gate said in what I can only describe as the most disrespectful, inconsiderate, ill-tempered tone that he would need take my bag. He grabbed it out of my possession, shoved it into the luggage sizing rack and even though it did fit inside the lines, he said it was "too close" and would need to be checked. Not wanting to cause a scene and quite frankly speechless by this man's attitude, I did not object.. It was not until I was seated on the plane that I noticed more than a dozen items of luggage larger than mine and that the vast majority of people that had 3, 4, 5 carry on items when the maximum is 2: one personal item and one carry on luggage item. It was both the lack of respect and the lack of consistency that lead me to have an extremely "poor" boarding experience. Serious retraining needs to be completed and boarding attendants should not be able to harass airline passengers."

I couldn't even buy a blanket bc all of the stores were closed. I understand that flights get delayed and things happen.. but at least give me a pillow and blanket to sleep in an airport when you force me to stay in an airport for 12+ hours."

The flight was delayed over 8 hours, forcing all travelers to sleep in cots until 3:30am because there was no pilot available which seemed absolutely ludicrous, especially considering the fact that it was not the only AA flight to Minneapolis that didn't have a pilot. The gate staff could have cared less about the extent to which we were all inconvenienced by this...and there was no option of compensation available except for a measly voucher for dinner at 12pm after all the restaurants were closed. I spent hours on the phone with "customer service representatives" and they also had nothing to offer in terms of vouchers or any form of polite compensation for this HUGE inconvenience. Needless to say, I will not be flying American Airlines after being treated like this."

I am sure that flight did not have nearly as many small children on that flight. Early flight to Orlando would make more sense to me. Why an hour for baggage? Due to delay, several of us lost our rental car reservations in Orlando."

Cons: "No heads up. Checked in 1.45hrs early & they new we were delayed but didn't say anything. Left 6 hrs late. Arrive at Disney with a 5 yr old at 1:00 am instead of 7:00 pm. If you would have been honest and proactive with Indianapolis we would have been fine. Better off to tweet your problem. Call=hold. Locals=in the dark. $15 food credit each is a good start. $100 each emailed so quickly is impressive but it's a credit to a bare bones airline that charges you for a water after their 6 hrs issue. Could have made snacks and non alc drinks free. NO NO NO. We had to pay another $11 for water, apple juice, food and GL of wine. SERIOUSLY. WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT??? Missed several opportunities for "Little things that count". Give all $300 to one of us for a free ticket-we won't be flying with our grandson again. I will give you a chance to fix that. Not a threat a promise."

Pros: "1. Easier to board because much fewer luggage is brought on board. This is because they charge $40 each for the larger carry-ons. The smaller item (fits under the seat) is free. Best way is to check a large bag ($30 when paid in advance), which is cheaper than the carry-on. This is all made very clear on the website. 2. Also, we did not pay extra for a seat assignment, to see what we were given. In both flights, we were given decent seats together. 3. Crew very nice. 4. Very smooth landings."
Cons: "1. The seats don't recline. 2. The tray table is very small (about 4"), so your book or laptop won't fit on it. 3. Seemed to take a long time for the luggage to appear. 4. Frontier doesn't participate in TSA Pre-Check, so you have to go through the long security lines."

Cons: "Plane was delayed by 5 and a half hours due to a storm. Something Frontier had no control over. What they did have control over, however, was their communication, which was non-existent. People at the gate wouldn't tell passengers anything, and responded to questions with "I don't know." When one woman complained about the lack of communication, a Frontier worker told her dismissively that she could call the manager. We kept learning about the flight delays by watching the status board. The front gate workers wouldn't say anything, and most people were too worried about missing the flight to run and get something to eat."

Cons: "The crew was fine. At no time was I made aware during my booking that I would be charged for a carry on and or checked bag. The total cost added $205 each way for 4 passengers to my flight. I feel completely mislead. Customers also had to pay for water on the flight which was ludicrous. The cost of baggage went up ten dollars from what I was quoted when called customer service to inquire about the prices on preselected seat assignments the day before departure. The seats do not recline and are very uncomfortable. The flight was delayed by five hours and no food vouchers offered. I would not fly frontier again nor recommend to anyone."

Cons: "I've used Frontier twice. Once for Thanksgiving week and once for Christmas week. Both times I had to wait 40-45 minutes to get my bag. The first time, the belt stopped working after already sitting and waiting 20 minutes for the the luggage to come to baggage claim. So myself and a large number of people had to wait an extra 20 minutes before someone decided to switch the our bags to a different belt. The second time there was no malfunction. Literally the entire plane and myself, who checked a bag, waited a total of 45 minutes before the first luggage appeared. Because I'm a considerate person, I prefer that my ride doesn't get a ticket or their vehicle towed for waiting outside for an extra 20-30 minutes or they waste their gas by circling around the airport until I finally say, "I have my bag." Mind you, this only seems to happen when I'm arriving to Orlando. I probably will be avoiding Frontier Airlines when picking my next flight."

Cons: "Where to begin? First of all I have extreme flight anxiety. So from the get go I'm on edge about getting on a flight. When we arrived at the airport to check our bag, which I had ALREADY paid for online when I booked my flight, the attendant told me it would be $40 for my bag. Why in the world would I pay $40 more for s bag I've already paid for? I explained to her many times it had already been paid for. Unfortunately she wasn't cooperative and I wanted to actually make my flight so I just paid the $40. So, for my departing trip I spent $70 total to check a bag which is what I am most unhappy about. The flight itself wasn't exactly enjoyable. No free water.. No peanuts or anything.. The staff was subpar. They looked like they hated their jobs. Neither of the attendants on the plane ever had a smile on their face. There was a 3rd but I probably saw him once. Idk where he was the whole time. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and I felt crowded. I know planes aren't suppose to be exactly comfortable, but let me just say that the only other airline I have flown with before was spirit and I would rather fly with them again than frontier. I was expecting a much better experience since spirit is supposed to be the bottom of the totem pole but this wasn't the case. I'm not looking forward to my flight home."

We had not flown for three years and would have appreciated a free soda and some peanuts, but apparently those are things of the past on flights. We also remember the days when flight attendants were all slim and whose make-up was appropriate. One of those on our flight had on fake eyelashes that looked like she might have not been able to see through them, if an emergency had arisen where we might have needed her help. She boarded the plane in stiletto heels which she later shed."

Cons: "I did not like the fact that I was not informed from the very beginning that it was an "ala cart flight" If I had known that I had to pay for my first luggage and pay for my seat (if I wanted a choice of a window seat) I would have gone with another more expensive airline. I have a couple cards that allow free baggage and other perks, but I was not using those, to save my sister money since she was paying for the flight.It started at $278 round trip and ended costing me $390. I first chose a seat ($12.) near the back, and after a very stiff ride up to DC, I decided to upgrade to the $50. seat in the front for the ride back, to Orlando, thinking it had to be better and recline. It did not. Needless to say, I will not fly Frontier again."

Cons: "I bought two tickets for a trip and at last minute my friend could not go with me due to a death in her family, I called the airlines, couldn't get a single person who spoke clear English to explain the steps to do this. They were going to charge me fees on fees AND pay the difference of what the tickets were going for. So I paid 178 for the ticket and then they expected me to pay another 300? AND provide a death certificate for any expenses to be "discounted". How AWFUL! We paid so much for this trip it was insane. You have to pay for your carry on which is ridiculous. Then, they told my mom her carry on bag was not in fact a carry on and made her check in her bag. It's insane how rude every single person we encountered with frontier was. Completely ridiculous and I will definitely be spending more money with United or southwest before I EVER fly Frontier again!!!!!!!!!!!"

I had to pay $45.00 each bag no matter if it was checked or carry-on. In total round trip I paid $180.00 extra just for my husbands carry-on as well as mine. Must add that our flights together cost 286.00. We should of went with American Airlines. On top of that we couldn't select our own seat if so, we had to pay extra, so we had to sit separated from each other. It was ridiculous! Never Again with this company!!!!!"

When I went to board the plane the guy that scanned my ticket said I needed to step aside as I did not pay for carry on. I explained I did not pay in MCO to Philly and why was I being charged now. Tyra Brunson, said she was the manager at the gate. I explained the situation and she said that she doesn't know how they do it in Orlando but that here I had to pay $60 for the carry on. I aske if it is a different company and if the policies are for all locations and she said yes but in philly they charge $60 at the gate for carry on. She did say if I went on line I could purchase at $35, That was better but still dont agree with haven been charged since it was a legit carry on which I should not have been charged for. Trya saw me try to go online but guess to late to purchase online. That was of no concern to Tyra. She did not do anything to calm the situation and Iat this point I was extremely aggravated as was not ready to spend an additional $60, I did not budget for that. While this is all taking place another 4-5 people were pulled over for the same thing. They were asking as well why on this leg of the trip we now had to pay for carry on luggage. I would like to be reimbursed as I think this Agent took advantage of me, us. Also, I think Trya needs to attend a CSR class as she does not know how to deal with the customers in a way that keeps the tension down. Example. I asked for her name an whee would only give me her first name. I was able to get the name when she accidentally flipped her id around (note, she flipped it around so I could not see name when we discussing the carry on situation). I would not recommmend Frontier Airlnes to anyone. This was my first time flying. With them and more than likely the last."

Cons: "When I got to the airport not one Frontier employee was around. The line grew, and grew as the passengers arrived. Many with small children who can't wait that patiently. We were there as predicted and as the sign said "Gate opens two hours before flights". Two hours came and went. Jet blue (nearby) fully staffed laughed and said 'you get what you pay for'! The crew came inside (as if just coming to work) and started to allow bags to be checked. Clearly 25-35 minutes late. Our flight was also delayed a half hour and Frontier said that was why the crew didn't check in sooner. However having someone, anyone from the co represent them to let passengers know would be helpful. I over heard many with small (Crying) children this was their first time flying. If security was busy this would have been frantic."

Pros: "Convenient to the cities we visited"
Cons: "The check-in desk in Orlando was very crowded and no one on staff was helping snyone in the queues. We had to direct traffic to the check-in and baggage claim lines. Could have used some assistance on our side of the desk. And I'd like to know up front what I will be charged for. I think a free cup of water should not be too much to ask for."

Cons: "I had no idea I would need to pay $40 for my carry on bag until the very last min. I thought that was rediculous since I had a small bag. Not to mention trying to check in was terrible also. Nobody seemed to know what line they should be in, including myself. Very dissapointing."

Cons: "Frontier is a bait and switch operation. They offer discount fares and when you get to ticketing you discover that they charge $40 for checked bags and $45 for carry on bags!!! I can understand the checked baggage fee only if it was made known prior to purchase but charging more for carry on bags. Also, the staff at the ticketing counter are rude and obviously selected and trained to make sure that they get every penny of their ruthless money. I have flown my first and only flight with Frontier and will never do so again."

Cons: "My flight had been delayed for like 5 hours and there was no reason for that delay tho. It ruined my plan totally. I don't recommend flying with frontier."

Pros: "What I thought I liked was the cheap flight tickets. They remained the cheapest for as long as I kept checking. The flight attendants were super nice as well. So that was a plus."
Cons: "I did not like that even after I purchased my flight ticket, I had to pay additional for my seat when I came to check in. I did not like that I had to pay for a checked in bag. So if you look at it after all is said and done, you'll find you probably paid more for frontier than another airline. I also did not like that on my flight home, they changed my seats without asking me and my friend, I had specifically purchased a window seat. They then gave us tickets that were in the same isle but we were separated by four people. When I expressed my concern, she attempted to make me believe that seats 17A and 17E were next to each other. When I insisted on seats next to each other, she gave us exit seats."

Pros: "Our flight was quick with no delays."
Cons: "Charging you for just about everything. Apparently paying for my airline ticket did not guarantee I'd have a seat on the plane, so I had to pay an additional sum of money for a seat. Wait, did you think you were finally done paying the airline? Of course not! Want to take anything with you on your trip? Pay for a checked bag. Thought you were clever and decided to just bring a carry on to avoid the charges? Think again! Costs more than checking a bag... All the while messages pop up pushing you to pay for even more random and unnecessary amenities."

Pros: "The lady who checked me in, in Orlando, was awesome. She really seemed to care about my needs. She should get 5 stars!"
Cons: "We were suppose to take off from gate 12 at 7:55pm. They changed it to gate 13, & we didn't take off until almost 10:30pm. NO explanation was given!!"

Pros: "A flight attendant didn't let me stand near the restroom, but she called me back when the restroom is free,and was fair to me even though other people tried to get in line in front of me."
Cons: "The carpet in the airplane needed to be vacuumed. We had to sit on the runway for a long time, and then we finally took off and the take off was pretty rocky. It would have been nice if we could've gotten more communication About why we were delayed for so long. It also would've been nice if the pilot would have explained why we had so much turbulence. It would have been nice to see the pilot too. Plus this fasten your seatbelt sign was on for a very long time because a taxiing for a long time and then waiting to get to cruising altitude, so it would have been nice to have a estimated time of when that sign would have been off. I was dying to use the restroom for over an hour."

Pros: "The crew was very friendly"
Cons: "This was my first flight with Frontier. I didn't know that the seats do not recline, there is no wifi, and you have to pay extra for literally everything. I didn't realize that you had to pay extra for all bags (I've never heard of anyone charging extra for a carry on) when I purchased my ticket. I chose Frontier due to the affordability of the fare, however once the extra fees are taken into consideration, this was no longer the lowest price available, and there was certainly no other reason to make this airline stand out as preferable over other airlines."

Pros: "We got to destination 30 mins ahead of time."
Cons: "No leg room and the seats don't recline. No free snacks or drinks. Not even water."

Cons: "Getting nickeled and dimed for everything from carry-ons to seats to drinks. Uncomfortable seats"

Cons: "We paid $371 for two roundtrip tickets from MCO to EWR only to find out that, with 1 carry one and one check-in bag each, we would be charged AN ADDITIONAL $395!! Having never flown Spirit before, I was unaware of what a sleazy operation it was and learned an expensive lesson. I have been a loyal KAYAK customer for many years and I have to say that I am VERY disappointed that KAYAK did not make clear how exorbitant the fees would be. I'm not sure I'll continue to give you my business based on this oversight."

Cons: "You charge for every little thing. Why should I be charged extra for choosing my seat assignment ahead of time? It doesn't cost the airline anything. Also a complimentary soft drink would be nice. Don't represent yourselves as an economy airline and tack on all of these additional charges that add up to a regular airlines price. It is a bit deceptive"

It is so sad when even the Spirit Airline employees say that " That's how they get you...with the baggage fees." They give you a great deal on the flight but snatch your money with their baggage fees. NEVER AGAIN!!"

Cons: "Awful experience. Early in the day I received several updates about my flight being delayed. No details on why, but much appreciated. Upon arriving to the airport the flight was still showing 59 mins delayed. Oddly, with all of the early communxaruin, it suddenly ceased! No communication for at least 2 hrs before the flight. Even as the 'would be' boarding window, the line formed with people asking questions... yet there were no answers or updates to the proposed time of departure. Even when the 59 min late departure came and went, there was NO communication. Folks were in an uproar! Finally, with no announcement, the gate attendant just started checking boarding passes and letting people go through the gate. Huh? I have zone 1, yet he said, we're just boarding everybody.... and, on the 3+ hr flight, only 1 bathroom worked. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!"

Pros: "Bad experience I was sitting in the last row and half way through the flight one of the toilets got clogged and started to overflow and smell up the area. There was a puddle of water running down towards the isle and the crew member was telling her colleagues to leave it alone and let it run so she can see how bad it gets for when we land. Extremely unsanitary and unexceptable to travel with that smell and conditions. Plus to top it all off towards the end the overhead bin got jammed and I had to wait for someone to pop in open, again its unfortunate I had to go through this. Never again, I would not recommend spirit sorry."

Pros: "Crew was nice. However the spirit airline attendant at the desk told me to gate check my bag. I stood there waiting for someone to grab my bag for sometime. So I asked the stewardess and she told me just to bring the bag in and put my carry on in the over head compartment."
Cons: "However the desk attendant came on the aircraft took my bag out of the overhead compartment. And then left it outside or the plane. I waited at the airport for until 1:30am before I got a confirmation that the back was in fact at Newark still. I had a nursing convention to go to and I had no clothing. So I had to Uber to Walmart than Uber back to my hotel. So I didn’t get any sleep. I didn’t check into my hotel til 4am due to a negligent spirit employee. I paid for the checked bag and there was plenty of space in the over head compartment. She caused me unnecessary stress and an embarrassing morning with my administrators due to my lack of sleep."

Finally he helped and printed my boarding pass. People shouldn't be treated like this. I pay my taxes and I don't have to choose spirit. I can fly through another airliner. The fact that he was giving me a hard time on Christmas was even worse. If I acted that way at my job I'd be fired. Thank you for sending me your survey and have a great day and a happy new year."

Cons: "When we arrived, it seemed Spirit was understaffed. There was a long line at check-in, and no bag drop. The attendants seemed stressed, understandably. We were seated in the second to last row, in front of three unaccompanied minors. The flight attendants were doing their best to make sure the kids behaved, but they were incredibly disruptive. My wife and I agreed: unless Spirit has a deal that's too good to afford, we will not be flying with them again. What you may save initially, you pay for in quality of service, comfort, and convenience."
