Alaska air decided my flight should leave early, so I was stranded in Seattle for the night.
The flight attendants were super friendly and attentive. I wish there were better entertainment options and a wider movie selection.
They cancel my trip due to delete on my COVID test result
Pros: "Seats were comfortable. The food was very good. We pre-ordered a cheese plate and a wrap. A few weeks before our trip, Alaska Air changed the flight times, and we decided the connection time was too tight and so changed to a later connection. The agent we talked to about the change was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's a good airline, typically rated as the best or second-best of the US airlines. As far as we can tell, its high rating is accurate."
Cons: "We originally had chosen our flight from Boston to Seattle to connect with our flight from Seattle to Sitka with an hour and ten minutes between them. However, Alaska Air changed the schedules of both flights, leaving only 45 minutes between flights. That is barely enough time to connect (the flights left from different terminals) if there are no delays. We thus had to change our plans not long before our departure to another flight to Sitka that left 5 hours later, forcing us to kill a lot of time in the boring Seatac airport. Apparently Alaska Air is notorious for changing its flight schedules. Travelers should keep that in mind when arranging flights and try to choose first flights that arrive soon enough that several alternative connecting flights are possible if Alaska Air changes the flight times."
Pros: "Service and overall cleanliness etc. was very smooth, good and clean. I sat in seat 1A both ways and as the first person to get on and off the flight found the process well laid out, easy, clean and smooth. I also got to witness the boarding process from inside while seated. Very professional and courteous all the way. The first class cabin was sparsely filled with ample space between us and based on how many people I saw getting on, I think the rear cabin must've been sparsely filled as well. More on the comfort aspect in the "what would have been bettter section" ... in short, the seats are the weakest link in the chain."
Cons: "My only gripe is about the seats fitted in first class for this Alaska Air leg (JFKSFO). Like most, my travel frequency has dropped so much that I can finally afford to pay full fare first for the few times I do need to travel. I expect that this will more likely be the norm than not and hope/expect that more among us who can afford to pay extra for the additional comfort, do so. The airline industry will need to keep that segment to get ahead of this seismic shift in travel patterns that 2020 has brought upon all of us. I was hoping to just sleep through it. I normally sleep well/easily on flights (at times, "too well"!) but could not do so on this leg. The seats in first class are just not meant for sleeping and are thus limited in their positioning ... brief napping is the best you can do - carry your entertainment/work or plan on meditating while fully awake. The base is for all intent and purposes, immovable (maybe a couple of inches back and forth at best). There is no concept of a foot rest in the design. The back locks into one of two positions - a vertical one for take-off/landing and a second one tilted about 15 degrees or so. That makes it impossible to stretch the body out while fully supported - so hard to go into relaxed/deep sleep for those who wish to do so. The front passenger seat of a common car offers more for a five hour road trip - something to ponder on, eh? Upgrade the seats ...the extra investment will pay for itself quickly in this age of reduced travel as you'll attract more of those who are lucky to be able to pay a little more to fly in comfort for the few times that they need to. Additionally, sleeping passengers are often the easiest/cheapest to service!"
Cons: "Correct gate information. The Yakutat to Cordova (#61) flight was delayed, which caused me to rush to the departing gate (told C2). Arrived at gate C8. Retraced my steps and made it in time for the connecting flight. Thanks to the crew."
Pros: "The crew was awesome and they really made the flight so much better. I loved how short the flight was - just 58 minutes from Vancouver to Portland."
Cons: "This is a turbo-prop commuter flight, so it's fairly noisy; also, there are no USB charge ports or entertainment system."
Cons: "SeaTac needs to get there stuff together. Took us 45 mins to taxi from our gate to the runway because the airport is so congested."
Pros: "Crew was superior in service and in politeness. With a bit of humor too. Love the leg room of my exit row seat."
Pros: "Toni was amazing"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 8 hours"
Pros: "I love being able to text while in the air (really reduces my stress when I travel for business and my family is back home). Crew was nice and boarding was easy."
Cons: "2 biscoff foe a 5 hour flight is a pretty light snack. It would have been nice if there was one more item."
Cons: "No other airline I flew to Germany with every charged extra for movies. That was really disappointing. We also didn't get our luggage until two days later (which happens, and I completely understand). But what I absolutely didn't understand was that nobody could ever tell me when we would get it."
Pros: "I loved how accommodating the crew was for having a late departure."
Cons: "Maybe update the passengers as you find out the plane will be later than expected"
Pros: "I wish I didn't have so many lay overs to go Kiev from Anchorage. Long flights no longer have free meals or drinks."
Cons: "At least one less lay over. I didn't have a good experience because SOMEONE, either Alaska Airlines or Ukraine International lost my baggage! I hope to get it back today!"
Pros: "I don’t like the seats so painful my body."
Cons: "So hot I need more aircon"
Pros: "Love 1st class. Comfrtable"

Cons: "Two kids behind me screaming the entire flight. Announcements from crew at max volume."
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "6 hour delay with no compensation"
Pros: "Crew was excellent despite the delays."
Cons: "Sat on the tarmac for 40 minutes in the aircraft after boarding, after the flight was already delayed 30 minutes. Warm day and none of the in aircraft ventilation was turned on. What should've been a roughly 45 minute flight from Seattle to Spokane became a 3hr slog."
Cons: "My luggage was off loaded in Juneau and staff was not very helpful in providing information on claims etc....Very disappointed with Alaska Airlines."
Pros: "Friendly staff and crew. Will do whatever they can to help"
Cons: "TSA is a necessary unpleasantness. Would not want to fly without them, but still no fun..."
Pros: "Friendly staff. They offer 'a la carte' storing of carry-ons upon boarding. One flight even offered free check-in of bags that went all the way to our destination because of limited overhead compartment storage. Most flights were on time. We had one flight late and the person at the counter was able to get us on another flight so that we didn't miss our connection - this was stellar customer service."
Cons: "It's just a fact of modern-day air travel, but those planes are so incredibly cramped! Had a bit of trouble with online checkin for our departing flight. I wish you could also make it policy for customers and crew to avoid fragrances. We were accosted by people who bathed in bad cologne!"
Pros: "Seats were comfortable but they need to recline or have foot rest. When I missed the flight your CS was excellent her name was Whitney and she was in Seattle.."
Cons: "Should not charge for WIFI service in the air"
Pros: "Complimentary wine or beer is pretty cool."
