Cons: "Check in at Dulles was chaos, even though we had completed online check in and just needed to do our luggage drop. I am pregnant and was carrying a 2 y/o toddler and had no preferential/priority treatment. Though we arrived 2+ hours before our departure, we only just made our flight. Ground crew were unfamiliar with Brazilian laws on entry for citizens with expired passports. Our bags never left DC and we received them over 72 hours later in Sao Paulo, after much confusion. We were not offered any means of compensation for this inconvenience."

When we arrived in Bogota, at 9:40 we had time to catch the connecting flight to Montevideo which was scheduled to leave at 10:20pm.... but instead we stayed in the tarmac without moving for over 45 minutes. There were over 30 passengers that were to take that connecting flight, so the airline had plenty of reasons to wait for us. Instead the airline, AVIANCA, chose to leave all of us stranded in Bogota for 24 hours. We will have all type of problems because of this we had hotel reservations as well as car rental reservations that may be lost because we didn't showed up. By the way according to one of the passengers whose husband travelled on the same flight the day before. The same thing happened to him 1 day earlier."

Pros: "Overall this is one of the best airlines I often travel with. Their cost is economic compared to the other airlines flying and their customer service attention is one of the best. They always have food and drinks available to people and obviously have a priority when it comes to children. Their seats in economy are somewhat spacious and international flights always have good entertainment with their touch screen. You can listen to music, watch movies and even TV shows without any extra cost."

Cons: "It seems LATAM changed the way they charge fees in July. The ticket for my return trip included no allowance for checked bags, and that detail wasn't obvious on my reservation information. Imagine my surprise when I check-in for an international flight and I'm told I can't check any luggage because it isn't included on my ticket. I ended up paying $210 to check two bags. Also expect to pay a bit more for decent seat assignments. My default seat assignment was at the very back of the plane, right against the rear bulkhead where seats often can't recline. So, another $60 to move elsewhere."

The plane is a beauty, silent, smooth, but when you flight in tight seat, with a minimal reclination, it all goes to the trash. Good entertainment service, modern, but the missed a few movies they should have."

What I can't understand is LATAM waiting until I arrived to the airport to tell me that it was delayed (instead of calling or sending an email) and told me that it is MY FAULT for not reviewing the website. In addition, at the counter they told us that we didn't need to do a line again for dropping bags in the morning. However, when we arrived the next morning we had to do a 40 minute line. The pain was compounded by a member of the staff yelling at me for asking him to be moved to a quicker line because I could miss my flight. I've always flown on Lan (now Latam) and I've never had this bad experience before. I'm really disappointed!!"

Cons: "First of all I bought my ticket through Kayak, but apparently something called the flight network was the issuer of my ticket apparently they are and travel agency in canada , first i needed to change my ticket and they could not do it , then I dis not use my outbound flight because I needed to get to my destinantion one day earlier and yesterday i received an email saying that my return flight was cancelled. they told me that since i did not use my outbound they automatically cancelled my return flight, I ended up loosing 300 USD because of mis information from that travel agency , the people that answered my call were very disrispectfull, this has been the worse experience and ai ended up loosing all my money I had to purchase another return ticket."

Suspicious. If it was truly weather problems, then it is OK. Only 1 flight a day made it a large problem. They did not say how they would deal with the 2 days of passengers backed IF it was to fly the next day. We found another form of transportation."

Cons: "The flight from miami to santa Cruz was terrible. My friend also had a ticket with them. We got there checked in and checked the bags. During this process the ladies that were checking in people had very bad attitudes. My friend who already had her visa for Bolivia was harassed for paperwork for a visa. (Which was not necessarily needed, AA proved tha t) but she didn't check her passport. I informed the attendant that she already had it. Then they didn't direct us where to go. We didn't see the other f corridor going upstairs. So we waited then I finally I started asking questions because it was 12 minute from departure. All the employees said they left. Not only did they leave early but made no announcement of missing passengers or that they were leaving. We could not get a hold of anyone from Boa to help. We called only to be told we would have to wait until the next day to see if we could leave. It was so sketchy that we booked a sure flight with AA. In the morning we went to check for our bags but no one was there. So while waiting for the flight from AA a attendant from Boa comes over to say "I remember you""you missed your flight ". So told her what happened and she didn't respond as to why they left early. Only that our bags were still in the airport and there was a fee. I responded for what and again she didn't answer. So returned later to pickup our bags from Boa and waited in line. We were told to talk to the manager who ignored us and some others. A rude attendant steps away from checking in people to ask why we missed our flight. I told her what happened. Then she says tsa closed at 1030pm. I told her they never mentioned this and how are we to know. The manager kept insisting that the computer was down and she could not talk. My friend kindly explained that we just need our bags because boarding for our was soon to begin. She didn't listen, she said the computer is down so we have to wait although our bags were right next to her. So the rude attendant (blond, wish I got her name) comes over to say you going to have to pay 250 for the flight change. Then I told her "look we are not flying with you and we need our bags for another flight". So she gave them to us angrily and my friend asked why she was so anger. Then finally we got the managers attention and both said no nobody is anrgy. Then my friend proceeds to say but you're raising your voice and the blond attendant say I'm not angry, I'm upset because you delayed a flight. I Choose to stay quiet because I was so angry. Now that I think about it. I think they complained to security because when we returned security stopped both of us although we were separated by that time."

After going to the bathroom and sitting for 20mins, i thought it was weird no one was calling boarding 12mins before the flight. After talking to two people they said they left."

They had to change my seat and changed me to an aisle seat. My shoulders are too wide and get hit by carts personnel. This was a Red Eye flight. So, between the bumps on the aisle and the storms we were flying thru, there was no sleep to be had. I also believe that BOA is reducing the pressure in the cabin. My breathing was like I was up in La Paz ( strained). This was a 7 hour flight. One of the wordt if not the worst, I have ever flown in 50 years of flying. Also, I do not usually gripe."

I have not been warned at any time and by any mean (no mail, no sms) of that change and I had to pay a 30 usd penalty in order to take the flight I ordered (otherwise I would have been stuck in La Paz)"

This flight has the basics- but don't expect the wine pours (very tiny), movies (none) eye covers or service of many overseas flights . This airline has it made for now though as it is affordable and not many other options to Bolivia from USA"

Useless website. No wifi, on any plane, of any type. No on-board entertainment: My all-day flight had no entertainment of any kind. No movies, no reading material, no wifi, and no power outlets. It is 23kilo weight limit but if you pay $100 per bag you can take 9 more kilos. On the plane there is nothing!! No wifi, no power outlets, no tvs not personal not even drop down ones you can share. I vegetarian and they only gave me a veggie meal my first flight. My second they were well we don't have it but let me give you the number of the office so you can call and make sure it doesn't happen on your return flight. As if I would ever fly them again!!! Worse than Spirit, Ryanair, and southwest combined!!!!"

Pros: "My flight from Sucre to La Paz at 3.50pm was cancelled by the airline without explanation. I was not informed in advance. We were informed only at the check-in front desk. It was delayed for more than two hours and had to be stoped over another city. Tne arrive time was later than 3 hours for 45 min. flight."
