So we were forced to either not eat anything, or use the vouchers at 1 restaurant that was on the brink of shutting, that could not provide any food, but provided some drinks and packets of chips only."

Cons: "Dear Sir or Madam: My two colleagues and I bought our tickets from BWI to Geneva, via London Heathrow, through Kayak as I have many times in the past. However, the Kiwi.com travel agency did not flag that the ticket from BWI to London Heathrow allowed for one piece of checked luggage, but the ticket from London Heathrow onwards to Geneva did not allow for any checked luggage. Also astonishingly, we had to pass through Customs, reclaim our checked suitcases from the baggage carousel, and check in again through Customs to board the onward flight, both coming and going through London Heathrow. In addition to the extraordinary inconvenience that we could neither transit at London Heathrow to our connecting flight without going through Customs twice and that we could not check our luggage through to our final destination, we also had to foot a higher baggage charge to allow for checking in our suitcases, now that we had arrived in London Heathrow only to discover this that our onward ticket did not cover one piece of checked luggage. Had we known that the seemingly better price posted by Kiwi.com on Kayak’s comparative offerings came at such a high price of inconvenience and additional expense for the luggage, we would have taken our business elsewhere. It was deceptive of Kiwi.com to engage in such practices, even if it disclosed these conditions in fine print (for no one would expect, nor have I ever seen previously in the hundreds of flights I have taken as a Million Miler on United), without flagging this. And similarly, it was irresponsible of Kayak.com to allow this “apples with oranges” comparison on its website. I’m making three more international trips in December, but I’m inclined not to use either Kayak.com and most certainly not Kiwi.com for future airline ticket purchases."

Your handlers ruined our trip.How can you allow thieves to do this especially with TSA supposedly there monitoring it? I want a claim form sent to me ASAP so I can recover my goods. A notice was not placed inside, stating it was checked."

I pressed their customer service rep for a hotel, but they refused claiming it was a weather related incident and they were were therefore mot responsible. The weather in Boston and Toronto was fine and at no poi t on the flight did anyone offer Any Reason Whatsoever for the delay. Moreover when i protested the customer service agent mocked me for not realizing it was a 'weather related incident'. I spent the night on the floor on YYC. Needless to say, Ill never fly Air Canada again."

I complain the very day I got to Boston airport. Up till now the bag I checked in at Toronto airport has not been given to me. The funny thing is after I checked in, it was not scan at any other place except Toronto. So it got lost at Toronto where I checked in. All that am told of is the baggage can not be located. Three weeks I spend at Boston, I had nothing."

The commercials take up the first 10 minutes (or longer) of the experience and make for an excruciating long wait."

Cons: "Bad There is only one line for security at Air Canada Boston Logan because of the small volume at this check point. Because of this, PreCheck passages need to hold onto there bording pass as they go through security. The first security person who checks ID and boarding pass only told my wife not to take off her shoes. He did not tell her to hold on to her boarding pass, so she put it into the bin for x-ray stuff. So later security personnel then told her to take off her shoes and gave her a body scan because her boarding pass was already in the x-ray machine. I always hold on to my boarding pass thru security but had to take my computer out of my carry-on."

Cons: "I requested wheelchair assistance but I had to walk up the ramps from the plane and had to wait for assistance. A wheelchair was not available and we had to wait for an attendant to find one Nd bring it to me."

Cons: "Air Canada staff in Boston did not seem to realize that Halifax was an hour ahead in a different time zone. Due to the delay in the Boston Halifax flight, which was known from the time we checked in almost three hours before the scheduled departure, we missed our flight to London. While Air Canada did put us up over night, they were difficult on the phone in planning an alternate route and did not get us out of Canada and to London until 24 hours after we were scheduled to arrive. This was very frustrating for us as we missed an important part of our trip."

Cons: "only one soft drink for three hours, nothing else"

Pros: "Friendly people willing to help"

Pros: "Crew was great, and boarding was a breeze."
Cons: "For the price, there should be better food, and a bit more breathing room."

Pros: "I'm glad the problem was found prior to us leaving the airport."
Cons: "Having to wait almost 2 hours, missing my connecting flight.. causing undue stress prior to vacationing -OVERCROWDED!!! had to sit in a center seat squashed for 3 hours."

Cons: "Flight was uncomfortable. Airline lost my luggage and were very rude when i only asked questions as to what could have happened! Never flying with United again. I still don't have my luggage."

Cons: "4 hrs late departure - missed my appointment"

Pros: "My father passed away earlier that day and I needed a ticket quickly to fly home. At the airport I was a mess and the airline counter attendant was so amazing helping me ( I had never flown United and had no idea about their luggage policies ect..). She quickly pulled me aside.. helped me with checking in and did her best to fine me another seat thatvwas better than the one I had already chosen.Also, she gave me a hug and her condolences. Flying with an airline that has heart helped me so much during one of the most difficult times of my life. I will absolutely fly with them again."
Cons: "No complaints ... but I paid for a movie to take my mind off of my father's passing during the flight and there was a short in my monitor for our whole row. It kept cutting in and out and "searching for signal", I only was able to see 1/4 of the movie I paid for with all the interruptions in signal."

Cons: "It was so freezing we had down jackets on None of the sound on the screens worked. Disaster"

Cons: "Seat was changed to last row/middle seat (not what initially booked or confirmed with online check-in). Before takeoff, attendant moved all passengers in back row to alternate seats. Which meant that I was no longer traveling with my colleague. Unfortunately, that made our intended meeting time impossible."

Cons: "Delayed, then when we got here no lanes to land. Seats are way to small for normal sized people."

Pros: "I fly weekly, but try never to book United because there are always issues with my support animal. Without fail, regardless of the city, the agents at check-in do not know what to do. Each time I'm met with annoyance at having to check me in, and I usually end up calling either the disabilities desk and handing the agent my phone, or asking for the CRO. I have to leave an extra 45 minutes to accommodate flying United every time -- ridiculous. This time I also got a load of unprofessional gate agents cooing and awwing at my my support animal, and trying to pet him. When this happens I always simply state, "please don't" and this was key with rudeness as well. United please provide us with more professional and adequately trained staff at the airports. Once we're on the planes it's fine. But you seem to have VERY low hiring standards for airport staff"

Pros: "From check-in to touchdown, my travel over this Christmas was awesome! Flights were on time, security ran smoothly, and I would use Kayak again for sure."

Cons: "Very cramped seating. The on flight entertainment kept searching for a satillite signal, only ever staying on for 30 seconds before searching for the next 3 minutes."

Pros: "I'm handicapped and the help getting from terminal to terminal. The people were very helpful."
Cons: "I have metal leg braces. I had to remove them to get in the seat. So the flight was uncomfortable. It would be nice if the plane could have handicapped seating.I know I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for comfortable seating."

Pros: "Pilots and some flight attendants were kind and friendly."
Cons: "On the return home, I was seated in the last row right next to the lavatory. I was bumped into at least 25 times by other passengers and flight attendants. I would suggest removing the aisle seat on both sides."

Pros: "The crew did the best they could with what was presented."
Cons: "Pilot should of gave us accurate times rather than saying "we should be taking off in another 15 min folks" which turned into 4 hours, pretty crazy."

Cons: "Flight was delayed, missed connection, chose to go to Minneapolis and was booked on a flight that I didn't have time to get to the terminal, so was rebooked a 3rd time, missed my shuttle, have no idea where my luggage is"

Cons: "First leg delayed on Tarmac for over an hour so I missed my connection. Then united rebooked me for the next day but gave me no voucher or money towards a hotel so I had to get one myself since it was all night in the Houston airport.mthem the rebooked flight had mechanical problems we had to change airplanes, and gates/terminals and were delayed another 2.5 hours. It was terrible."

Cons: "My connection to YYZ was cancelled and I was not even rebooked to the next flight. I needed to buy a ticket on Air Canada in order to get there. Every time I fly United I find myself asking "why in the hell am I flying United?""

Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "Very delayed flight No updates for departure, empty desk until it was time to depart, for why we sat on the runway for so long, no update on landing time or that we were starting descent"

Cons: "Where do I start. Let's start with booking and the lack of knowledge, inability to listen and respond in an appropriate manner, and the fact that after I asked to speak to a manager due to the previous issues with the agent, and after being transferred all I needed was some understanding and support due to a family emergency and instead I get a short rude push back and then hung up on by the manager after I expressed my struggle and desperation for help. The lack of empathy and just the overall experience was beyond horrible, and if it wasn't for the desperate situation I was in I would have never used your services."

Pros: "On time bags made connection"

Pros: "It was a light flight, so I could have my carry-on with me even though I was in group 5. The breakfast -- berry pecan French toast -- was surprisingly tasty and satisfying (if not very attractively presented)."
Cons: "Too bad I had to pay so much for the exit row seat. I'm tall and it's needed for standard comfort (as opposed to extra comfort). Oh well. Gotta squeeze those dollars out of the passengers every way they can."

Pros: "Got me safely to my destination. Other passengers were friendly and helpful. Sf and Vic airports nice. flight attendants passably pleasant. No food that I was aware of. Entertainment at least there was a wifi option since there were no screens."
Cons: "Check in agents all might as well have been robots, but with bad attitude. Even at the star alliance gold checkin desk the agent was clearly unhappy/furious (seem to be ongoing issues with the system/ machine frustrating him) and was consistently abrupt and cold though our interaction. He did help by lifting bags onto weigh and to press buttons to get the tickets issued, but I would have a much better experience of United if he has shown any sign of warmth or even smiled. I was struggling with a baby in a carrier, and several suitcase, and he didn't show any sign of humanity. The guy who labeled our bags was a bit nicer. The team overal though just barked instructions at the customers, never looked them in the eyes, and seemed to all hate their jobs. We got our boarding passes issues successfully, yes, but I felt on pins and needles like I had to be very careful not to offend anyone.... Which I don't think is what you want your passengers to feel at the start of a flight."

Cons: "My first time flying through United and I am dissapointed my flight was delayed over 6 hours and we get no refund for that? Really United? Aren't you suppose to be a top airline for a reason. Never again"

Cons: "I was asked to change my flight. I did so out of the goodness of my heart. I then went to check into my new flight and I was told I wouldn't probably be put on it. Although it was eventually corrected, it was unnecessary frustration."

Cons: "Flight there was ok. I'm 6ft 3 and have some weight to me but I've never had a problem being able to fit in a seat before. Not even close! The Boeing 737 we rode on the way back home was THE most uncomfortable 3 hours ever. I saw other customers "getting up to go to the bathroom" to stretch and get out of these seats. They were so small, so cramped and the leg room is the worst I've ever had! Hey United, instead of upgrading your older planes to have tv's in all the head rests (which costs money anyways) why don't you retrofit them to have liveable if not comfortable seats/legroom. Absolutely terrible. Considering never flying United again after that flight. I thought longer flights usually get bigger planes with more slightly more comfortable sitting accommodations. Caved and got one of the food boxes....bleh. Just bleh. Supposed to have smoked gouda spread. Tasted like those pretzel and cheese snacks that you give your kids for lunch."

Cons: "Not sure why, but both of the legs on this trip ended up being with the group 5 boarding segment. I checked in right at the 24 hour mark but still ended up in the last segment. Not sure if this is due to being in an aisle seat. I feel that United gives anyone booking tickets through an outlet other than their own website puts them "at the end of the line". Thank You"
