Cons: "They mistakenly sent one of my bags on a later flight so I couldn't pick it up at the airport and instead need to wait for them to deliver it tomorrow"
Cons: "This connection was 1 hour and 20 minutes and I was asked to pickup my luggage and do check-in again, when I arrived to the desk they said that I needed to be there 2 hours ago and just after arguing my connection situation they let my pass"
Pros: "Flight from LAX to Lima good enough. Flight from Lima to Buenos Aires very bad. Old plane food sucked and entertainment non existent."
Pros: "food and flight attendants"
Cons: "not enough room for legs in latam and japan airlines...I know is just economy class but still for such a long flight it should be a bit more comfortable"
Cons: "My baggage was lost"
Pros: "About as comfortable as it could be given a 10 hour flight and a pretty full plane."
Cons: "Boarding at LAX was unpleasant. Waited in a crowded shuttle bus for at least 20 minutes then long drive to a remote boarding gate."
Pros: "I liked the presentation, the effort that LATAM puts forward in general. They have great uniforms that reminds me of old airlines, in a good way."
Cons: "The services is good, but they do not do it with a smile on their face. I asked for a cup of water and both times it took them about 10 minutes to get me that cup. The crew always seems to be bothered to serve the customer. There is also a big difference between services going straight to Santiago on the 787 and to Peru on the 767. I understand the plan (767) is older and that does not bother me. What bothers me is the disparity in service between the two. I received great service the first time I traveled on LATAM, ever since then they have disappointed. I do not understand what is going on with them."
Pros: "The food improved a lot"
Cons: "They used to have great airplanes when it was LAN now the airplane was very old uncortable and the touchscreen barely worked. I used to like a lot LAN but now their quality is very bad. Also I traveled with my 3 year old son and they gave us separated seats. And I asked if we can have better seats for the next fly and they refuse because they supposed to be full but I notice close to me was a empty row and someone noticed that and move to it. They could made the things a little more easy with a mom with a toddler. They used to be more considered"
Pros: "Check-in process at LAX by LATAM employee was misleading, as she made it seem as if our luggage would arrive at our final destination in Cusco. Moreover, she failed to give us copies of our boarding pass for our connecting flight from Lima to Peru. Because of her misleading, out luggage was left in Lima and we landed in Cusco without our luggage. We are still awaiting to see where our luggage is."
Cons: "Customer service at check-in desk was incompetent. Service by flight attendants was largely rude and done with a lot of deep sighing by the flight attendants as they performed food and beverage service. They did not make me want to fly this airline every again."
Cons: "Delayed 4 hours in Lima. Stood on the line to get a usd6 voucher for food, same as all passengers when I was flying business. No lounge service."
Pros: "They rebooked us out of Orange County, a different airport, without extra charge."
Cons: "Seemed like they should have known the plane would have been late when they told us all good eight hours earlier, as plane was still in Lima when we arrived at LAX and hence our flight was cancelled but only after driving up to LA and waiting at check in an hour."
Cons: "Plane was 6.5 hours late taking off. I missed a meeting in Cusco because overall I arrived 8 hours past my scheduled arrival time."
Pros: "Their staff really try to make you comfortable. The first half of the flight was in a 767. Tight but not too bad. Really good hot food and nice collection of movies and entertainment."
Cons: "."
Pros: "Smooth boarding. On time. Good crew."
Cons: "For a rather long flight, amazed that we had to pay even for water. This isn't a low cost airline! Painful lack of legroom (I'm 5'10"). When the kid in front of me leaned back it was like a hammer on my kneecaps."
Pros: "Service was good"
Cons: "I tried to book my seat on line to get an aisle or window and it wouldn't let me choose me seat."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very good and so was the overall service."
Cons: "Seat rowa too close together, not enough legroom."
Cons: "Extremely uncomfortable flight, extremely tight seats, kids running around during most of the flight. Terrible experience seating next to bathrooms, flight attendant keep trowing some sort of air freshener to mask the bathroom disgusting smell, and it didn’t not work well. Ended up breathing the most disgusting smell for hours, arrived to destination with an upside down stomach and nausea."
Cons: "Poor service. Not too friendly crew. I normally fly American but being myself Chilean, I thought I'd give Latam a chance but was disappointed. I was travelling with my daughter and 2 yr old grandaughter and felt that they didn't give us any special attention in regards to baby.I used to be a flight attendant and In my day the standards of service were SO MUCH HIGHER!! I Will not fly Latam next time."
Pros: "Crew was welcoming and helpful."
Cons: "I was very disappointed to discover that I was not able to choose my seat because I bought my ticket from a third party. The boarding gate crew seemed stressed and were a bit short with passengers waiting for seat assignments."
Pros: "The crew service is excellent: prompt, efficient, and friendly. The free streaming inflight entertainment to use on your smartphone, tablet or laptop is a very nice feature on a 3-hour plus flight. The food for sale onboard is tasty and fresh. In my experience most domestic flights operated by Latam are on time."
Cons: "Latam crams its single-aisle Airbus fleet with one or two rows of seats too many: the seat space is crammed. The exception are the first three rows and exit rows, for extra pay or free for elite passengers. The first three rows have power outlets -nice and useful to watch streaming movies without draining your smartphone battery."
Pros: "That wine was included in the drink selections"
Cons: "Didn't have an option for vegetarian dish. The outlet cord on the seat was not working."
Pros: "Crew was nice, good food, nice aircraft, good entertainment options."
Cons: "Late departure"
Pros: "The food, crew, and entertainment were great."
Cons: "The boarding process was poor. The flight was delayed and there was not explanation at the gate that there was a delay or why. I don't understand why our carry on bags needed to be searched. We were put in a line with only one person doing the bag checks while the other line had over two people checking bags."
Pros: "Crew was amazing, movies good, boarding fast"
Cons: "Didn't get seat I choose, and food was bad I had pasta was okay, then I had like a toasted ham and cheese and the bread was rock hard didn't even touch it"
Pros: "Solid crew, clean planes, safe pilots. Exceptional staff support at LATAM check-in at LAX."
Cons: "I arrived 3 hours early to my flight, which I had been notified that morning of a 2hr delay. Fortunately the woman who checked me in realized there was 1 seat available on the last flight that would get me to Lima in time for my connection flight (departing same time as my flight pre-delay). She personally got me to the front of the line, and ran with me just about to the gate, where I caught a shuttle to the plane. If she hadn't done so, and if I hadn't checked in so early, I would have been forced to stay in Lima 24hrs, despite buying a rightful seat and having reservations in Buenos Aires. It is appalling and unacceptable that y'all continue to overbook flights, causing incredible trouble, inconvenience and potential harm to your customers. For a service that costs so much, the only acceptable delays are weather and mechanically related. if it hadn't been for amazing staff immediately, I would've been furiously waiting in a city I didn't need or want to be in. Customer service will continue to grow your business or impede it negatively-- how y'all act is up to you. I appreciate how well I was taken care of by several kind individuals."
Pros: "I LOVE that LATAM does not book its flights solid: I love that they leave some empty seats and breathing room-- it makes all the difference in the world. I love that the bathrooms have full length mirrors, hand towelettes, and are well maintained. Most of all, I love how compassionate, patient, and accomodating the flight attendants are."
Cons: "I would have liked for there to be more vegetarian choices-- healthier foods, more veggies, more fruits, rice, less meat. It would be nice to have real milk or cream instead of powder for the coffee; and honey instead of sugar."
Pros: "The entertainment was good. The crew was very friendly and helpful throughout the flight."
Cons: "The coach seats were unreasonably small. I have never been on an airline with such small coach seats. There was virtually no leg room. For this reason alone, I don't think I would fly LATAM again for a long distance flight. It was too uncomfortable."
Pros: "Overall I love the professionalism and customer service of LATAM. The interior lighting of the aircraft makes a big difference. The staff is always super polite and friendly. It's my favorite airline."
Cons: "On a 10 hour flight (LAX to Santiago Chile) they should offer more snacks and drinks for people to help themselves to in economy class. Other airlines have water and juice available I felt like I was bothering a crew member every time asked for a glass of water, when I could have just helped myself. Also, maybe have a few light snacks available. After a very light lunch, 8 and a half hours is a very long wait till breakfast!"
Pros: "Everything ran smoothly. Attendants seemed to care equally about being welcoming and timely."
Pros: "Smooth ride. Nice hospitality in the evening flt."
Cons: "No good food options"
Pros: "Free wine"
Cons: "Seats aren't so comfortable"
Cons: "The flight was delayed in LAX, and consequently I missed my connection to Cuzco. My luggage was also misplaced"
Cons: "5 HOUR DELAY ON A ONE HOUR FLIGHT. LA 990 MPN/PUQ 10 DEC"
Pros: "What a nice surprise to be able to stretch out after a multi-leg international trip!"
Cons: "Nothing!"
Cons: "Everything. We booked flights a half year in advance yet they forced a couple of us to upgrade to premium in order to get seats. They then separated one of the couples with premium seating without notice so some other couple could sit next to each other. Their website didn't allow us to use an electronic boarding pass. Its cumbersome and uninformative. Some of the attendants are incredibly rude."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and individual entertainment screen was nice."
Cons: "We were never informed of our gate (not on boarding pass, not on display board at airport). After searching the entire terminal, the gate didn't have the flight listed either, but we eventually identified a floor sign with the airline logo and found our flight. In flight entertainment screens were not very responsive to touch, and would have been better with a list of movies/tv/games, instead of 1 show per tap since the screen was iffy on responsiveness."
