consider UA as first option because they have more flights in that area, so in case one flight delay, you can change to another flight easily.
DennisFlew with American Airlines-Jul 2026
Get a port side window seat and get a great view of Mt. Hood.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Jun 2026
Plan ahead, arrive early, and be patient with the staff and crew.
Dawn CFlew with American Airlines-Jun 2026
Get to airport early and pack as light as you can!!
ArwaFlew with American Airlines-Jun 2026
My flight was delayed, so make sure to give yourself enough time in case of interruption
douglasFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2026
Dfw best airport... American is the best airline (most flights because they.are headquarterwd here. DFW also has the most choice in airport lounges. Also curbside check in. They also have a very convenient Tram service (Las Vegas has the best) Portland was very difficult to get to rental cars and baggage easily.
JoleneFlew with American Airlines-May 2026
It’s so convenient. I always check my carry on bag at the boarding desk. Saves me from having to schlep the suitcase through the connecting flight terminal
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-May 2026
Only bring small carry on it makes for an easy board
IanFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2026
Lately ORD airport struggles in general often having ground stops. Construction extends travel back to airport so allow 2 hrs. Over past few months, experienced far few delays on United than AA.
Verified travelerFlew with Qantas Airways-Mar 2026
We could not fly on our scheduled day because of delays leaving Cleveland. We would have missed our connection in Dallas. Might be better to have more layover time when you book.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2026
To not use hard sided bags. They can Crack when thrown from planes luggage compartment below to baggage carrier truck or vehicle
MayeFlew with American Airlines-Mar 2026
Allow more time between connections, I almost miss my flight as terminals in Dallas are far away from each other.
NancyFlew with American Airlines-Feb 2026
Golden rule.... arrive 2 to 2 1/2 earlier to have a calm experience.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Dec 2025
Make sure and have your work downloaded before getting on the plane in Anchorage, becuase Wifi will go out over eastern Alaska (but come back over Canada). If you are elite on Alaska, you will get a free bag or two on American.
Dawn CFlew with American Airlines-Dec 2025
Get to the airport early and be prepared to be flexible. Bozeman flights are often late getting started.
JoleneFlew with American Airlines-Dec 2025
If it is summer, book in the morning. The afternoon thunderstorms can delay take off.
DivyeshFlew with American Airlines-Feb 2026
Try to make sure you have 40 minutes of buffer with your connection.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Nov 2025
bring your own water. not provided by Spirit arilines
FraxysFlew with American Airlines-Jun 2025
Bring an empty refillable water bottle/container through TSA and fill it up as soon as you pass the security check. The water station is available to the left and to the right of it.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Apr 2025
LaGuardia has gotten so much better since the renovation. And its convenience to Manhattan is second to none. Terminal A had a super short security line too, which was nice
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-May 2025
Check out the barbecue shacks in the airport. I didn’t; regret that. They also have an in-terminal food delivery service. Maybe run by Uber Eats
FraxysFlew with American Airlines-May 2025
Grab breakfast at the airport or take it with you when you board for morning flight.
MarcusFlew with American Airlines-May 2025
As long as you show up before boarding begins, you should still be fine to check in a bag for the flight.
KalebFlew with Spirit Airlines-May 2025
Get to the airport early and read about what you can or can’t bring. Don’t be greedy on the bag situation.
KaoriFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2025
Be aware of the gate number and the time required to reach it, as the airport is vast.
MatthewFlew with American Airlines-Dec 2024
Be ready for delays and study the airport map. The Sky Link is a little different if it is your first time using it. Thankfully, I had someone there the first time I flew through DFW that knew the system.
JavierFlew with Frontier-Feb 2025
Love DFW, fast to move between terminals and they have a Capital One Lounge
ShaneFlew with Spirit Airlines-Dec 2024
Know what events are happening in the city traveling too, too many major events in one area causes major delays at TSA checkpoints.
Dr. JosephFlew with American Airlines-Jan 2025
Be very vigilant about the weather both in Chicago and in Dallas. Adverse weather in either area can affect the trip.
Verified travelerFlew with Qantas Airways-Feb 2025
If flying american airlines make sure you have more than 3 hours for layover
MitchellFlew with American Airlines-Dec 2024
If you choose main extra, avoid row 10 or higher.
Odessa DelainaFlew with American Airlines-Dec 2024
Do not arrive more than 1 1/2 hours before departure. There wasn’t anyone to accept baggage and no seating available.
MaryFlew with American Airlines-Sep 2024
Bring a charging cable for your devices and I always wear compression stocking on flights that are 2 hours or more long.
SundereshFlew with American Airlines-Sep 2024
Check standby options on earlier flights. There are many between the two destinations.
CoryFlew with American Airlines-Nov 2024
they're all about some out of baltimore. DFW is an AA HUB and likely your cheapest option as a connection. If your final destination is dallas, southwest might be cheaper.
DeandriaFlew with American Airlines-Oct 2024
Bring a blanket and a charger/ something that will provide you entertainment. WiFi provided on flight for extra charge.
Verified travelerFlew with Frontier-Oct 2024
Get there extra early when you fly frontier and make sure your personal bag isn’t oversized!
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Oct 2024
Long train ride in Dallas to gates, but pretty easy to navigate, no real issues
DeeFlew with Alaska Airlines-Sep 2024
Arrive early as repairs and construction underway at Seatac.
RoxanneFlew with American Airlines-Oct 2024
Get to airport early, as they only have two entrances into terminal!! Waiting line long. After checked by TSA, they were very slow moving people along though scanner. I hate going to MSP. It use to be a good airport, but sucks now!!
kabirFlew with American Airlines-Aug 2024
Red eye flights can be a full flight. If possible, upgrade your seat. Stay away from sitting by flight attendant
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Jun 2024
If you like your feet warm, avoid wearing sandles. Cool air blew across my feet for almost four (4) hours.
JulianneFlew with Iberia-Aug 2024
Best to check bags and not bring anything aboard flight. There was no storage available.
Verified travelerFlew with Qantas Airways-Jul 2024
Allow extra time to navigate through the airport as it’s a big one.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Jul 2024
Arrive early. Busy airport and rental car return is far from Airport
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Jun 2024
Bring snacks, water, and a change of clothes.
SoniaFlew with American Airlines-Aug 2024
Get to airport at le as t 3 hours early if you have a 6 am flight. With construction it is insane if you have to check in luggage and get thru tsa
BryanFlew with American Airlines-Aug 2024
Don't count on wheelchair assistance, particularly if you have a short connection and different terminals. DFW is HUGE and the assistance program is a disaster.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Mar 2024
The people mover in DFW is really fast. It can get you to your gate faster than you can run, for sure!
JoelFlew with American Airlines-May 2024
No need to come all early to Dayton since it's a tiny airport, no crowds and easy to access
Brian R.Flew with Frontier-May 2024
Bring money. If you're in a tight spot with money, bring your own snacks.
AnnFlew with American Airlines-Mar 2024
I would not choose to connect through DFW if I could avoid it. Every thing was very inconvenient; Restaurants close early on Sunday, help with rebooking was on a different floor and required a shuttle ride, the elevators and some escalators were that provided access to ground transport were out of service. It was a mess. However, the associates were pleasant at the gate, 7/11 stoe, customer service, cleaning crew, and ground transport.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2024
dont use american airlines if possible. if you have to make sure that your layover(if youre flying through) is at least 1.5 to 2 hours…
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2024
If you have a conection have over 2 hours of lay over in dallas because it will bebdelayd
MarkFlew with American Airlines-Jan 2024
Get TSA Pre-Check or Global Entry which includes TSA Pre-Check. In Terminal 3, there really isn't any place to set up a laptop outside one of the restaurants.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Jan 2024
Always allow at least 90 minutes for connections in Dallas. Flights seem to be late often and it’s a big airport to navigate.
CedricFlew with American Airlines-Jan 2024
American Airlines did well. Center seat is tight on planes, opt for window or aisle.
SharonFlew with British Airways-Jan 2024
Wish I d have known my luggage did not make it into my connecting flight! Pack a backpack just in case!

Exceptional. The gate crew responded quickly and got me onto this earlier flight as the final passenger, saving me more than four hours of wait time for my reserved flight.

The flight was delayed due to earlier issues at other airports. The crew was excellent & made it a good trip.

Boarding process of asking for volunteers to check bags goes against the system you had before with 2 bags checked free. This process is more of a guilt trip than a caring attitude toward the customer. In addition bag-size scrutiny has increased which also slows down the process of boarding. My wife said she will not fly on your airline again unless there is no other option.

Eveeyrime I fly they are begging for bags due to cabin overhead space. What they should so ia take the bags that are clearly too big to fit wheels first on their side. And those of us who give up the bag should really get their bags first. When boarding, nobody wants stupid jokes about how hot it is on board. Give us some cool air. Im usually sick from the heat by the time we take off.

The new boarding process was easy and straightforward. Very pleasant.

It was good from LAX to Phoenix, But the connection in Phoenix to Tulsa was not that great. The staff on both flights were great. The choice of free entertainment was ok nothing to brag about. The 45 min delay because of some electrical issue wasn't great from Phoenix to Tulsa. We sat there with hardly any air, The seat I had was between windows so the side of the plane pushed in on you. My being a bigger man it then made the seating area uncomfortable. The seats on the plane had no power to connect to recharge your phone or anything. I would recommend that they should look into a slot or clamp to hold your phone to enjoy while watching the entertainment choices hands-free. Also make it possible to raise the inner seat by the window be able to raise the arm rest up to make more room for larger people to set more comfortably. I would also say other then that stop price gouging the airfare or nickel and diming everything. Not fair for people having to fly for emergencies and be paying for higher prices due to the season or holidays. Your making your money either way and the cost of flying is still going to be the same regardless if there's 100 people or 200 people.

WiFi did not work. Boarding with the new seating assignments took too long. The temperature in the terminal was obnoxious. +/- 80°

Haven’t flown on SW in years. Flight was on time departing and arriving. Served vegan butter onion flavored pretzels which were bad. Coke served was in a tiny paper cup. Crew was not engaging. Felt like they were going through the motions. Old plane, tight seats and no leg room.

I liked receiving attention from aged and well experienced flight attendants. I disliked the non-gluten-free snack but I brought my own so I was OK.

Everything went smoothly and the plane wasn’t full. It was delayed though. The delay was increased due to a crew change which was frustrating.

the flight got cancelled - few hours before the departure time - no time to change

This a short easy flight. No food or drink but that was not an issue since we were only in the air for 35 minutes.

The meal tray was not usable it was completely uneven

My experience with Delta started with my luggage being found ripped open with items missing. The baggage office told me to bring the bag, and I wanted them to see how I found it. The agent refused, so I carried my bag into the office myself. The agent was nice enough to fix the zipper and gave me a red card with a number to call. I followed the steps; first one department, then the baggage department took over. This took more than two hours on the phone. The return flight was okay. The flight lead was checking her meals and then asked if we wanted anything before departure. However, throughout the flight, I had to ask for things because she was reading her book;which I have no issue with if she had been more attentive. At the end of the flight, the pilot appeared annoyed with the flight lead for not following his instructions regarding a meal he had requested; a chicken sandwichand said, "I asked for that for the flight." On the positive side, my work event in Vegas went well, and now I'm home relaxing.

Internet connectivity still seems to be touchy on these flights, making it difficult to rely on it for getting work done.

The ac must have died, it was way to hot on this flight. Boarding g was chaotic. The flight was delayed for boarding. Not a great experience.

Comfortable seats. Nice service online. Short flight, so not a lot of time to enjoy.

Awful. There was an unexpected delay of nearly three hours because there were not enough flight attendants. I understand this is likely due to FAA regulations; but in that case, Delta should coordinate with smaller airports such as RDU to have extra flight attendants on the ground and "on call". In addition, this was the second 2-hour+ delay to Boston on this route in one week.

In a world of delays, Delta was on time both ways! Boarding was fast and efficient. Staff was friendly. AND wifi worked.

There is no free Wi-Fi or screens in the seats for this flight. It would be nice if they had actual actual healthy drink options like a flavored sparkling water. The flight was very dark because nobody was sitting on the left side and they didn't open any of the windows. The plane was kind of and had small overhead bins. There was no distinguishable difference between economy and comfort Plus.

It was a good experience, unfortunately my checked baggages were come late and not arrived on time.

Very stressful to locate United Airline boarding area, delayed flight, changing boarding area again to another location with all tiredness 😩. But flying was fine.

Flight staff and all was fine. Food always sucks on planes so nothing new.

The flight crew were very helpful. The seats were very close together. There was barely room to sit without touching the person next to you.

I’m an EP on AA every year for more than a decade but this was a very pleasant and surprising experience. Clean and sizable plane for HOU to CHI. 5 row first class. And excellent food in first class the steak option was really good. Your flight attendants even better. Seat 5A

It was hot and not as comfortable as the flight to Chicago. Must have been a different plane that needs to be worked on or replaced.

My flight was delayed so bad i missed u it so i just said never mind

Wonderful flight! The crew was good, check-in was good and orderly and the flight was uneventful and good.

Gluten free snack options and meals that offer both gluten free and dairy free.

The baggage handlers broke the handle on my bag that they put under the plane that I checked on the jetway. They traded it out for a less quality bag in Tulsa. But, they said they would try to fix it. Bologna! There was no fixing that bag handle. Someone didn’t care how they treated the bag.

My flight was delayed several hours, which is to be expected (American never fails to disappoint me!), but the parts that really bothered me are as follows: 1) I was unable to add myself to the standby list for another flight in the app, nor could the gate agents figure out how to help me do so (the app is difficult to work with and simply did not allow me to perform the action of adding myself to the list) 2) When I asked the gate agents to add me to the standby list, the agent said that he had added me, but I was not able to confirm that I was on the list in the app; as it turns out, I had NOT been added to the list after all. He had lied to me and/or failed to add me to the list. 3) I figured out I had not been added to the standby list when I spoke to the (rather rude, snippy, and dismissive) other gate agent, who finally did add me to the list after giving me some pretty unnecessary attitude. I understand that gate agents experience the worst of stressed travelers every day, so I appreciate that I was eventually able to make it onto the standby flight with their help. However, the app needs some SERIOUS attention!

The boarding and fllight were good. The reason for the ok rating was the long walk to get to the transport to finally get to the gate.

This flight was delayed but it worked in my favor because my Atlanta to Dallas flight was delayed.

I appreciate that I finally got the seat I paid extra for this time. Thank you

Flight was canceled. I asked to be rerouted to OKC and then took an Uber.

Flight from Dallas to OKC was good, but my trip was interrupted due to a delayed flight from Austin to DFW, which happens all the time. I frequently miss my connection from DFW and American can never seem to make this work!

This was a pleasant, short flight and the crew was friendly.

No choice of meal in first class. Was the worst meal I’ve ever had in first class.

Do not rebook people without asking .. threw the whole return trip off

First off, I never complained so it is not the crews fault. The lady to my left did not respect my seat whatsoever. She was too big to lower the armrest and basically sat on me the entire flight. She was against the window. I was in a middle seat. For future reference, American, please make sure the armrest will lower or get someone a larger seat/2 seats.

I know Frontier is a “no-frills” airline. I understand the concept. However, I jumped on some tickets for our family vacation, expecting to play a bit of a game to figure out the family bags and not over spend. In the end, I got the short end of this deal by far. 1. I did not expect them to charge the baggage fee for each direction. It makes the fee look high-ish at a glance, but reasonable. Then when you get to checkout and realize you have to pay it twice to come home with your luggage, it becomes ridiculous. 2. The low checked bag weight limit. I am used to packing a 50lb bag with my preferred airline. Frontier’s artificially low 40lb limit more quickly triggers the extra weight fee, which almost DOUBLES the price of the bag if you go over ($79 for the bag/$75 for the next 10 lbs) 3. The fee for a carry-on bag is the same as a checked bag but with a lower size and weight limit. Make it make sense! 4. The seats are terrible. My 2.5 hour flight almost had me losing my mind. I’m 6’3” and my femurs barely fit in the space provided. My knees had to wiggle just right to jam into the crack next to the armrest of the seat in front of me. The cushioning was thin and inadequate. I am tall but I’m not a freak. These seats are unacceptable. 5. I overheard the woman next to me speaking with the gate agent about being charged a $25 fee for not checking in online - she checked in at the airport counter when she arrived. That’s ridiculous. She was old and in a wheelchair. She had a paper boarding pass, and was obviously not tech savvy. She should not be punished for that. 6. They do not have good placement in the terminals. It was always out on the end or down on a subfloor, and we had to walk out on the tarmac almost every time. In Denver. Their home airport! 7. Every time I loaded a new page on the website while buying my tickets or my bags, it was constantly trying to upsell me on some esoteric bundle. Like, a pop-up every time. Very annoying. 8. No screens in the boarding area (at least where we were) to confirm you’re in the right place. Just static gate number signs. I am sure these are standard practices for Frontier, and I should have read more about them before I purchased tickets, but as a result of this single round trip, I do not plan to ever use this cut-rate airline again. I would rather pay the normal amount for a ticket and be treated like a customer instead of a mark.

Our flight was delayed 2 hours and when they changed the the time to 1 hour I wasn't alerted and when I checked the gate the plane was still there but they already shut the doors so I had to buy another flight.

Great except upon arrival it took them a long time to open the doors

Frontier feels like a family I Worked for Eastern Airlines back in the day and I felt the family vibe that I had then. Thank you

Terrible. Delayed my family flight for several hours affecting family plans

Tiny seats, no entertainment, no amenities, delays, they charge for carry on and their allowed personal item is smaller than in other airlines.

The seats are tiny and they don’t recline. The planes are dirty and very small. You have to pay for carry on and even the personal item that you’re allowed is smaller than with other airlines. Flights are usually delayed and there’s no screens or any amenities or entertainment.

Flight was delayed but it was very smooth. Crew was very nice. Seats are uncomfortable but ok.

Flight was delayed and then my second leg was completely canceled. Had to get a refund

The flight was great . But you only had one vegan item on the whole flight and someone prior to me took it . I was so disappointed cause I came in from the flooded area and couldn’t pick up anything prior to my flight .
