LATAM doesn’t recognize PreCheck, even though US airports do offer that but without the printout boarding pass passengers can’t take advantage of the shorter lines. LATAM also charged for both flights to check baggage instead of charging once for the whole trip."

I was able to board and travel but I had to sneak out of the actual line and show my visa appointment receipt to a latam staff person. It was very hard to talk to the staff most of them were just screaming "go to the line" and were not really keen to listening to what passengers had to say. I found a latam person that wasn't really dealing with this situation and managed to get him to talk to other latam staff about my visa appointment. It was pretty stressful for me to have to deal with the possibility of missing such an important event without a good reason."

Getting refund for this disaster itinerary. But it worked out in the end."

Peruvian gentleman on the plane just prior to landing was telling me how dangerous it is in Peru in the area surrounding the airport. I was given four hours of wifi coupons and coupons to a breakfast and lunch at a restaurant by our gate, where i was waited on poorly. Next time i may look for a layover in Florida."

No one was at the gate; waited a long time to speak with a representative. They booked me on the next morning flight from JFK, but sent me to a hotel in Long Island - 1 1/2 by bus that was jammed and overheated. Hotel was old, not kept up and food and service bad. Bus driver could not tell me for sure what time we were going to be picked up in the morning - maybe 6:30 AM? I was told. No one at the gate gave me this information either. I was ready at 6:15 AM and the bus was full. I waited for second bus. No breakfast at the hotel. Flight to Santiago was uneventful and crew during the flight were polite."

The seats barely recline and in Economy leg room is comparable to AA flights going to South America (which is pretty bad). Forget about sleeping. I had some hopes for the food but it disappointed too. Breakfast, for example, was essentially a warm sandwich with a paper thin layer of ham and cheese. They stuff you with bread. Had a much better experience flying sister company TAM."

I like that the flights were on time. However the transfer in Mexico airport was rather confusing Due to the fact the Aircrafts were remote.. once we reached the departure gate, we were bused to the aircraft. The hard part was getting to the departure gate. There was just no signs we just kept walking and walking and walking with no Teleprompter in sight. The crew using the PA system on the plane when notifying passengers needs to speak clearly and slowly! Their feeble attempt to speak in English is mumbled & unclear.

In Vancouver I was assured that one and a half hours would be sufficient but when I saw the line through immigration I realized what a joke that was. That process alone took well over two hours, followed by another hour to pick up my bag, find the correct spot to drop it off again and then re-enter the boarding area. Meanwhile, the shuttle I arranged to pick me up in Leon have one and gone. So, here I sit, exhausted, frustrated and weary, waiting for the next flight, and not knowing how I will get to my destination in the dark hours of the night. I could do with back rub and a shoulder to cry on."

Cons: "I upgraded to 1st class for both flights but the plane seating was very dismal and hadn't been upgraded in either of these planes for a long time. After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."

Yet, they 1st said we would board a little late because og clearing out the previous flight. And, no one could get carry-ons above their own seats and had to go back to then come forward. I asked for wheelchair and help claiming my luggage due to health problem but when I asked at the airplan gate if some body will help me the answer was wait over there with a rude way and ended by walking to the passport area and claiming my bags by my self, my bags was not there and I was going back and forth to follow directions been given to find my luggage. I was very exhausted and tired and asked people around me for help."
Cons: "There was no help at all especially from the British airway. Unlikely there was very rude answer by telling me if you need help you can hire somebody to help you at claiming bags area. This answer was not expected at all and I was very disoppointed as I made a request to have a wheelchair from London. This request was ignored in London. I was very tired and placed my self to a risk of injury because I hade recent surgery to my right shoulder. As a British air way and this was my first experience I will think carefully next time to use this service again. One of my luggage was damaged and this bag was new and this was my first time to use it they told me at customer service this just a scratch and there is no liability for this kind of damage. hopefully some body can investigate this and do something"

(My day didn't end until I'd been up more than 32 hours.) Crew from the late arriving flight should have announced the connecting flight delay well before landing at DFW. The flight should have been held for 20 minutes, as it appeared that the majority of the passengers affected were able to clear customs and arrive at the gate in time. Headphone jack had a very poor connection. Plane was dirty."

Cons: "Wihout question, the most uncomfortable seat ive ever been in. It was obviously a newer plane, long haul flight, and thw configuration maximized space for more passengers. Width of economy seat was tightest I've ever experienced, with the arms of the seats literally right at my legs, nearlt digging in. The leg room was very short with my knees nearly touching the back of the seat in front of me. When i put my tray down, it actually rested on my knees, and was not level because it pitched up due to longer legs (and I'm only 5'9). This was a long haul, 8 hour flight. I've never beeñ so uncomfortable on a flight in my life, and have never counted the minutes I could get out. Seemed obvuous that meal service had taken a hit when corporate looked for places to cut expenses, its one of the lower quality meals. If compared with an international carrier, the food was really sub par. Mostly really friendly crew members, unfortunately, one who really didnt seem to enjoy the job any longer."

More and more friends, family & 1 flight expert says AA gets more complaints. Will try booking with another airline carrier in future unless absolute emergency to take AA. Worth $40.00 or more extra to get friendly service."

Cons: "AA has nine boarding groups, which queue up in two lanes. Each of the two lanes hold about 5 people, at most. This is ridiculous. It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time."

(That might’ve been my fault... or my phone’s fault). But, the free texting was something only available in a country to which Donald Trump (the most patriotic American in his whole wide mind) thinks is so inferior! What’s up America? Cons: "the drink service came through pretty late in the flight. i asked for hot tea. a few minutes later i was provided with extremely hot tea. about 10 minutes later it was a temperature i could tolerate drinking. about 1/3 through the drink i was required to throw away my drink because we were preparing for landing. i understand that, fine. bad timing. it’s just a drink. what was unsatisfactory is that the attendant rudely commented “you have to give us your drink. it’s not that long of a flight.” the comment made me feel like i had done something wrong even though i had just been drinking my tea as soon as it was at a drinkable temperature. i was not impressed with the attendant. also, there weren’t any biscotti cookies."

She clearly was not happy to be working, never smiled, and banged on the bathroom door while I was peeing because I was "not allowed to miss the instruction video." Had I not seen it a few hours earlier, I would have waited to use the restroom. Good thing they showed the same video three times in a row."

So I quickly say we do not need 3 people to tell us 1 thing and especially yelling at us like we were kids or criminals because it felt like we must have broke the law the way they treated us! Crew tried to reset it multiple times, but it didn't help. So flight was longer due to delay and I was looking at the BLACK SCREEN entire time. 3) I attempted to read my book. Since it was a night flight and overhead lights were off to prevent disturbance, I needed to use reading light. Well, the reading light was not working. I called a flight attendant to assist me. She tried to help me, but confirmed that it was out of order. 4) There was not information regarding terminal for my connecting flight. Captain kindly referred us to look up this information on our individual screens. Mine was not working, neither was the screen of the passengers next to me. Not helpful at all."

Cons: "Flight into DFW was delayed over an hour and ended up missing connection from DFW to SMF by less than 10 minutes because connecting flight left the gate early! We had 5 people in our group, including 3 children under the age of 10. Instead of taking off on time or just a couple minutes late (and oh by the way, the flight to SMF was scheduled to land early because of favorable winds) the flight left the gate early while we were sprinting from gate C31 to A17, missing the door closing by minutes and stranding our party for a three hour wait for an aircraft that went to SFO instead (75 miles away from Sacramento). As the coup de gras, our luggage didn't make it on the plane to SFO so now it's sitting in Sacramento awaiting delivery. I know there were a lot of upset people with the weather delays yesterday, but a bit of foresight or accommodation by American or a particularly savvy gate agent could have prevented the 5 of us from being among them."

The guy to my left was KNITTING, so was constantly jogging my arm which I carefully had kept inside the armrest on my side. I will avoid flying in a BA 747 in future. Even Business is awful on those jets. I flew in Business once, and thought the head to tail layout was the worst I have experienced. I pulled down the joint divider and thought the person in the next bed was dead, he was lying there with his arms crossed over his chest! It's time to update the 747's or retire them."

She said, "We could ask someone on the flight to switch with us". We paid $738.00 total for both tickets to Dallas, and found it very hard to believe that we could not get seats that were next to each other. We have had this same situation on other airlines, and they were very accommodating to our needs."

I checked in to my flight literally one minute after the site opened up and there were only middle seats left. So, if you've never flown BA before and you have a long flight, you might want to pay the extra fee to choose your seat early."
