Cons: "1st, promised to email a $100 travel voucher for an inconvenience in the reservation, but never did! 2nd, signage misguided us to take train to wrong terminal in airport, causing us to miss flight! 3rd, successfully changed first leg of our flight, but gave us a connection that was impossible to make! (20 minutes, but they "forgot" we had to go through customs!) 4th, double-charged us for our bags for second leg of flight! 5th, said they could do nothing about the impossible second leg of flight, claiming that their partner airline (Virgin) should resolve it, and Virgin then said the same thing and sent us back to Alaska! 6th, I discovered that Alaska reps wrote lies in the notes in the computer to try and cover their back! 7th, meanwhile, between the two companies, they wasted so much time that the next flight passed and we had to wait until next day for a flight! 8th, were not willing to cover a hotel, leaving us to sleep in airport! We are currently in airport still waiting for flight, so this sad testimony to Alaska Air may still get even worse! We'll see."

Cons: "Didn't realize the seat I selected didn't recline because it was in front of the exit row. I sat straight up for 5 hours and 10 minutes. I wish I would have known this at the time of booking. That was extremely uncomfortable. When I asked the crew about it, they said "yup sorry year seat doesn't recline because it's near an exit row." No apologies, no concern, no trying to find an alternate solution. I couldn't figure out how to work the Wi-Fi and so I asked a crew member and she was less concerned about trying to help me figure it out and was more concerned about trying to get me to rent an iPad."

Seems they can anticipate these issues in advance a little better and be more efficient in resolving them as this is what they do on a daily basis. Once plane available, no crew was available. What happened to our original crew? Attendants @ the desk would mumble "updates" in the overhead phone which were inaudible, prompting passengers to constantly approach the desk to ask about flight status. The whole process seemed unprofessional."

Cons: "Not being informed why flights were delayed at all,wether a one hour delay, which I had on my first flight or a four hour delay. Felt I was not being informed , felt I was cornered into taking the last possible flight to Boise not even knowing I would get there. Then to top it all off, I was prevented , by an Alaska man from taking my suitcase after arriving from Kelowna, BC into Seattle, in taking my 6:45 flight to Boise though I had a half hour to get thru TSA. Upon rebooking a flight, it became apparent I would be on the last flight into Boise but that was delayed 4 hours! The topping on the cake was my luggage had 4 hours to get on board BuT did not get there. Why must it be inspected twice? My luggage was still in Seattle Jan. 5. It finally came in late, by that time we drove back to Hailey, Idaho. Thankfully my luggage arrived by 1:00 am Jan. 6 ! Sorry, I was not impressed. On one flight Dec. 18 , to BC, Canada, the Alaskan stewardess said she was sorry but could not even offer us water, reallly? Susan Teed"

Cons: "The guy sitting next to us -- shouldn't they ban chewing tobacco? His bottle with the chewing juices would have killed my appetite had they served food. New baggage policies are leaving little to no overhead space. AA needs to work this out so passengers aren't fighting over the space."

Pros: "I really like that the captain updated us as we were at altitude and before descent. The flight attendants were very kind and generous, and helped us with our things to de-board the plane (Solo parent travelling with with two young children). I will always be choosing Alaska for my future travels."
Cons: "My kindle must be too outdated because it wouldn't allow me to download gogowifi so that my children could watch shows via the kindle. So that was kind of bummer, but other than that it was a great flight."

Cons: "Wish bathroom had been cleaned more frequently. Ran out of toilet paper a few times and floor was wet. My seat was broken so I could not recline back for 17 hours and since the flight was fully booked I was unable to move seats. It made the already long flight even more uncomfortable"

Cons: "Communication in delays (we ended up being delayed for 13 hours in incremental delays), poor planning, lack of knowledge at the operations level around how long crew has worked, boarded the plane then unboarded the plane as the pilot decided he wanted tea, staff unempathetic and dismissive"

Cons: "They left our laggage out in the rain at some point of our trip and the contents of our suitcases were soaked. Ruined a dress my wife had planned to wear to a wedding because the red suitcase bled through to the dress. Underwater, etc was soaked. The extent of it we didn't realize until unpacking the suitcases later. Totally disgusted they could have left our suitcase in the rain uncovered (or perhaps dropped them in a puddle)."

Cons: "The airport staff after TSA are RUDE! I was suppose to leave from one destination to another, last night. AA rebooked me without my consent and assumed i would be ok taking a later flight 24hrs later. After hassle, i thought i received a perfect flight which would get me to my destination A WEDDING at that in time. However, i have been rebooked over 5x in under 24hrs and still at the airport from 9hrs later! They do not compensate you and do not even extend the offer!"

Pros: "The 737 was excellent. Boeing still makes the best aircraft."
Cons: "Being rescheduled from an 0830 departure to a 0530 departure, which meant I had to get up at 0300 to get to RIC by 0400 for TSA and check-in. As originally planned I would have arisen at 0500, still early, but not nearly 0300. The equipment had no individual entertainment screens. So we were stuck with whatever was on the common screen...which was bad."

Cons: "Plane was delayed all day and when we finally boarded we were told it was due to an engine problem!! Not good!!"

Cons: "When will the airlines stop cramming so many people in planes with seats that are too cramped. Especially when you are on a regional flight, with a seat crammed in a corner that does not recline."

Pros: "I was last getting on the plane and I didn’t want to check my carry-on and the flight attendant found a spot for me! Nice, quiet flight."
Cons: "The drink cart skipped me! I was definitely awake too. When I got his attention I finally got my drink but I didn’t get a napkin or pretzels offered either. WiFi was iffy and never loaded for me."

Pros: "On time departure & arrival; helpful staff at check in & at the gate; plane was comfortable."

Pros: "The pilot was great about keeping us up to date on the possible route change and exactly how long we would be sitting on the runway, new arrival time, etc."
Cons: "We sat on the runway for 35 minutes with no offer of a beverage (though there was going to be beverage service). Then just before take off as the flight attendants were snacking in the back, we asked about a possible drink and they said the flight was going to be too turbulent to serve anything."

Pros: "Very friendly staff, clean airplane, great flight! Our original flight was delayed, but we still made it right on time for our connecting flight! I didn't realize when I was booking the flights that American lets you bring a carryon no charge, but United does not. You have to be a "Special" customer with them in order to be allowed a carryon, so we ended up paying an additional $50!!!"

Cons: "Once boarding the plane and searching for my seat number , all of the cabin went pitch black . The lights went out for not more than a few moments. When the lights came back it was problematic and dim then fully lit to flickering off and on. Whenever it "seems" to have any electrical or mechanical failure. It's natural as a passenger my first thought is it's a Bad omen . I had genuinely lost some faith in the plane ."

Cons: "I did not get what I paid for and check in took two hours to figure out. I bought tickets on Kayak through Justfly.com for a Finnair flight and added an American Airlines (affiliate) frequent flyer number.and reserved my seats early.as I usually do and everything was confirmed by Justfly.com. No problems, right? I did not receive a check in notification. I used the Finnair trip number on my email but it said there was no flight found. I could not initially get hold of Just fly.com. when I did, they said I had to check in through American Airlines. That didn't work initially either. After getting a new trip number I was able to check in but our seats were changed and it was a red eye. When trying to get seats I noticed there are very few seats left. The seats I had selected were now open and would coat another $120 plus. I couldn't even get those. We wound up with some exit seats which seemed fine until my wife couldn't recline her seat. It was uncomfortable for both of us because she had to use my legs to prop hers onto. Im still on vacation so I haven't contacted American for a refund yet."
