Pros: Crew from Washington to Cancún were extremely rude
Pros: Crew from Washington to Cancún were extremely rude
Pros: The crew was very attentive and had great personality. They anticipated any needs we had.
Cons: Traveled Comfort Plus. Looking really crowded in the main cabin.
Pros: Quickly moving through the airport.
Cons: Take out old planes. It was really run down.
Pros: The crew was understanding and sympathetic to the customer's frustration with a delayed flight.
Cons: Delta should have figured out a way to not delay the flight. Every flight was delayed.
Pros: The plane was nice
Cons: I’m still sitting in Minneapolis so I would have liked to be at my destination. And I had to pay for the overnight accommodations.
Pros: Entertainment was awesome. Although airlines are stingy with snacks, Delta had a good overall selection and very generous.
Cons: Something that cant be changed overnight, however, there should be a little more Aisle space for folks pass through as my shoulder was getting beat up after every passing person and cart.
Pros: Crew was friendly.
Cons: Wish the seat was more comfortable. Landing was jittery and bumpy.
Pros: The flight attendant from IAD to MSP called Bernadette was wonderful!
Pros: The crew was nice, the flight was so short, there was little interaction with them.
Cons: Boarding was a disaster, people didn’t have seats which caused a delay in boarding. It was a mess. The seats were uncomfortable and too small. I know it’s a short flight but it was just too tight in there. The flight was delayed and the communication was all over; the time was constantly changin
Cons: Value for the price.
Pros: The crew was dealing with NOVA/DC residents
Pros: The website delivered everything I needed.
Cons: More discounts for frequent users.
Pros: Super comfortable seats. Lots of movie options.
Cons: Food was not very good
Pros: Flight was smooth, arrived early..crew was prompt and courteous.
Pros: Boarded and left JFK on time and arrived 15 minutes early to Seattle. Love DELTA.
Pros: Crew and entertainment options were great.
Cons: Cabin was very loud, with jet engine noise. Could not block it out. Seats were not comfortable.
Pros: Crews were nice
Pros: Standard Air France flight. My wife and I like the Airbus 380.
Cons: The flight left two hours late. Apparently this happens a lot with this flight these days because it's an Airbus 380 coming from Paris to Dulles and turning around. The incoming flight was two hours late, so the departure was late. Our arrival in Paris was late. We made the flight, but our luggage didn't. Our return flight from Paris to Dulles was half an hour late because of people from connecting flights. We arrived about 30 minutes late, but no big deal (unless you had a connection)
Pros: Fly attenden alwas with a beautiful smile
Pros: Nothing particularly stands out. I did arrive safely.
Cons: First class did not come with lounge access? Drinks were not cold. Bathrooms were falling apart and came with a disgusting odor. Time to retire these aircrafts.
Pros: Flight attendants were nice based on the situations beyond their control.
Cons: Flight was delayed for about three hours, due to mechanical issues with the second engine not starting. We sat on the the plane for over an hour and half. Some people that missed their connection flights were offered hotel stay. Others that had no connection flight was not offered anything for the several hours of delay that occurred.
Pros: The chekc in person was very helpful.
Cons: The plane was too hot and the pilot did not accommodate the passengers request. More than just me made the same request.
Pros: That I landed safely
Cons: 1st class was horrible.
Cons: I have traveled with my luggage plenty of times through airports and the flight from washington to jacksonville, my luggage came back to me cracked and broken. I was surprised that Delta handling was worse than any of the cheaper flights I normally take and will not be checking any baggage with Delta again.
Pros: Great and friendly crew
Cons: baggage rules, check in with baggage, change fee for flight when it was not customers issue that caused the 5 min delay! Unable to reach reservation desk on line or via phone (neither was the gate agent)
Cons: Seeing as I’m still waiting for my flight, more than five hours later I am not inclined to rank it highly. This airport is an embarrassment and I will try my best to never fly Delta again. Weather is no excuse for this.
Pros: My flight was canceled but Delta rebooked me on a flight leaving at about the same time as my original flight, which arrived just a little later than originally anticipated
Cons: My original flight was canceled
Cons: Delayed two hours
Pros: Got to my placs
Cons: Lol put the two fattest people next to each other
Pros: The fact that there were no snakes on this plane :-)
Cons: Same issue... there were no snakes on the plane :-/
Cons: The delta studio didn't work with Android 8
Pros: Flight attendants and cookies. That's it.
Cons: We left DC late because of Delta's inefficient boarding process. We landed in Atlanta late. Our flight to Sioux Falls left early, without us. My pregnant wife and I made it to the gate 4 minutes before the scheduled departure and they told us the plane was already gone and there was no way for us to get on the plane. Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline.
Pros: On time. Good customer service. Easy route, no hassles.
Cons: There delay
Pros: For once the food was good
Cons: Screaming out of control children. Parents not caring that their children were constantly running up and down the aisles. Crew unable or unwilling to intervene.
Pros: The crews were very friendly and everything went as planned. It was a nice flight.
Cons: I didnt like that my flight was canceled and rebooked for no reason. This created me big problem in Athens that they couldnt find my ticket in delta. Also I didnt like that i had to stand and wait for 3 hours in the line because my flight was canceled but no one could let us know if there gonna be any flights within the day. I slept in the airport because i couldnt find a hotel to spend the night close to the airport. They were all full and i had no time to find one since I was waiting there for 3 hours with no informational. I slept on the floor and delta didnt even offer us a blanket. That was my worst trip ever.
Pros: The flight was smooth and the food selection was surprising delicious. The crew was very attentive.
Cons: The leg room was much less than the last time I flew Virgin (booked via Delta) and made for an uncomfortable trip. Could not sleep as a result. If you're tall like me you'll need to book a higher seating category.
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: Nothing everything was fine
Cons: paying extra for leg room and checked bags
Pros: I liked the croissants they gave us.
Cons: it was a small, older plane, so it wasn't very comfy and had no entertainment options. it was a short trip though, so not a huge deal. we were also stuck on the runway for a long time before it was our turn to take off, which is never fun.
Pros: Flight crew was very personable; cheerful and courteous.
Cons: Being scammed by the Chinese, China Southern
Pros: The Delta staff at the Marine terminal at La Guardia were fantastic and saved the staff that re-issued tickets at JFK.
Cons: 5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it.
Pros: Made up the departure delay in flight.
Cons: Gate and Cabin crew kept giving opposing reasons for our departure delay, just be up front and honest. Cabin was hot. Very hard landing
Cons: everything else
Pros: I had an empty seat next to me. Flight took off on time and arrived early. Crew was pleasant.
Cons: bathrooms were very dirty. No one cleaned them up.
Pros: Good crew.
Pros: Goood everything
Pros: Nothing same useable
Cons: No need
Cons: Aka was happy with westjet
Cons: Flight delayed 1hr
Pros: Crew was good
Cons: Montreal airport was awful
Pros: The service was really good
Cons: The waiting at the gate
Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: Communication as to why we were promoted to premier seats and service.
Pros: Fast efficient process through security. Well labeled and helpful airport staff. Plane wasn’t very full. Had a row to myself which was great. Entertainment available on smartphone, iPad or lap top.
Cons: Really fast connection. 20 minutes from landing from LAX to clear customs and find connection before boarding call. Not much menu options for purchase and too quick a connection to buy anything. Luckily I travel with snacks.
Pros: Boarding was fast.
Cons: My baggage did not arrive in my final destination
Pros: Efficient and fast boarding and getting things ready
Cons: Seating is horrible. Not just the space but the cushion-or lack of
Pros: Good crew!
Pros: Crew is always polite and friendly
Pros: Loved the trip
Pros: The flight didn’t get cancelled. We didn’t crash.
Cons: Flight was delayed because it came from Toronto and it needed to be cleaned.
Pros: Very comfortable. I was impressed with seat comfort, especially nice after being in cattle class with another airline on a 12 hour flight across the Pacific.
Cons: It would have been nice for WJ to have an earlier flight from Vancouver to Winnipeg. But I understand it depends on demand.
Pros: New plane more leg room Direct flight Orlando Winnipeg
Cons: Every time I fly WestJet they seem to need to reset the wifi entertainment wasting 15 minutes of movie watching
Pros: Flight was on time and WJ does provide quite a lot of leg room on their jets.
Cons: Later flight from Toronto delayed multiple times, finally to 2:40 am and then canceled at midnight. Way too late to find an affordable hotel, had to stay at expensive airport hotel instead.
Pros: Cabin crew was very kind. It was a quick trip with no hiccups
Cons: Nothing really to note. It was a straight forward process.
Pros: We were late getting to YUL because of traffic, and a West Jet employee went above and beyond to make sure we made it on our flight even though we missed the cut-off time.
Pros: From checking in to my arrival I enjoyed the service. The crew even on ground were helpful at the checking in. The light refreshments were okay. I am impressed. I had no on board entertainment so can’t comment on that.
Cons: Nothing in my whole experience with WestJet on my trip.
Pros: Had seats in row six -- plus there was room for both our carry-ons!
Cons: Flight was delayed taking off from Winnipeg 90 minutes with no explanation given. Made us late getting to Saskatoon and missed our daughter's scheduled ride to pick up our two cars as a result. Had to pay an extra two hours parking at airport, etc etc etc.
Pros: It was smooth and uneventful.
Cons: It was all fine.
Cons: Flight was delayed due to a tire change. That’s no big deal, but the crew did not accurately keep us updated on the actual loading time in order for me to arrange my pickup upon arrival in Winnipeg.
Pros: The plane was one of their most recent to their fleet of planes. Lots of overhead luggage space and extra leg room. Nice looking on the inside
Cons: I like the overall feel to the inside.
Pros: great on board crew, very friendly and getting the impression the company execs under value them. PAY YOUR STAFF BETTER WESTJET.
Cons: older equipment often means what you’re accustomed to is missing. specifically, not being able to plug in and charge proved problematic on this flight. in-flight entertainment was the old back-of-seat and did not work until the final minutes of the flight.
Pros: Westjet crew is fantastic!
Cons: Wish it could have been a longer flight to enjoy the WestJet crew’s hospitality longer
Pros: Overall service on the flight.
Cons: The management of carry on luggage on the flight. It seems that there is no control over the placement of carry on luggage in relation to seat selection. many people entering the aircraft drop of luggage in the bins close to the front of the cabin even when they are sitting at the rear... Simple solution would be to assign luggage based on zone. Zone A to Be Window seat. Zone B to be a centre seat and Zone C to be Aisle seat. Designate a portion of the overhead bin to be A, B and C like the seats. Ensure that baggage is transported to the seat designated.
Pros: There is no entertainment so why ask.this question repeatedly and I understand on longer flights that is valid but on these flights it is not applicable
Cons: Didn't happen flight was cancelled and had to fly all over Canada to get home
Pros: Everything was exceptional
Cons: Nothing to complain about
Cons: We sat across an aisle150 feet from the boarding gate and never heard any pre-boarding announcements. There is too much carry-on luggage, coats and backpacks in the overhead bins. No room left if boarding near the end.
Cons: Of the four flights I took with WestJet this holiday, 3 were delayed. The flights were frigid. On this flight the agent at the gate was very rude when I asked about checking my bag, lecturing me about the size of the bag and insisting she would have to charge me if it was a full flight, which she said it wasn’t. It ended up fitting just fine in the overhead. Totally soured my experience. I will not use this airline again.
Cons: WestJet needs more checkin machines and shorter security lines. I arrived at the airport with a boarding pass and it took over an hour to get to the gate
Cons: Seats were so crammed together. When the person in front mived their headrest back my knees were crushed and I xould not sit comfortably. I am 5'10. Not super tall. Nees more leg room.
Cons: Cabin was too cold
Pros: I needed assistance for my father and West jet went above and beyond in their service. Made an ol man very happy and gave him the ease of traveling alone.
Pros: Great service. Friendly. Connections are well timed so you dont have to wait long to transfer.
Cons: the seats are a bit confining.
Pros: Pleasant staff and adequate leg room.
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. There was no delay in any areas.
Pros: The flight over all was good. Service, and delivery of the expectations were good. Even though the items listed in the dislike are 3 in number, and added to an uncomfortable experience, some of them are identifiable as beyond control, yet others are within the control of system set up or process.
Cons: small items that I didn't like were : 1) Temperature, and 2) wifi 3) waiting for electrical. 1) Temperature: When boarding the plane the Temperature of the cabin was extremely warm. The pilot advised of the condition, this was not something that could have been fixed and I think they handled it well. I just didn't like the 90+ temperature 2) Wifi: was intermittent, I ensured the Westjet app was the only one running, but the movie I was watching was pausing every 15 minutes to buffer. So it was a constant reminder of dial up.... 3) waiting for electrical: Upon landing and taxi-ing to the ramp, the pilot was advised that there was no electrical to support the plane after he turned off the engines. So good that he waited, thank you pilot, and not so good as it was another unpleasant item on the plane ride.
Pros: Crew were all very welcoming and polite
Cons: Food and entertainment were pretty pricey.
Pros: Bell's live TV is probably the best feature!
Pros: Great crew, prompt take-off and boarding / de-planing
Cons: Seats were dated and uncomfortable
Cons: Took 45 minutes to get through Calgary security, long line ups
Pros: Great Crew
Cons: Slight departure delay - no big deal
Cons: AC would always delay
Cons: Seat didn't recline and touch screen on TV was working but it took some work -- I had to press and hold and the little arrow would fly all over the screen
Cons: After a delay on my first flight, I managed to get to the gate with a few minutes to spare and the door open. The desk agent refused to let me board the plane.
Pros: On board crew was friendly and capable.
Cons: My first and last flight on the CRJ 9. It's much less comfortable than a prop plane, for a 90 minute+ flight.
Cons: Very cramped like sardine tin. Not enough flight info boards in airport and they were hard to read m
Pros: Chairs and the space was very good.
Cons: Crew and the food was very poor. This is the only long international flight 10 hours that served a night grate dinner and the crews got disappeared the rest of the flight and no breakfast.
Pros: The crew were friendly and efficient.
Cons: Being delayed for mechanical issues seems to happen more often now, which gives pause. Obviously we want a safe aircraft and I'm glad they deal with the issues, but why are these issues popping up more frequently now? Also, the seats are very uncomfortable for a tall person - no lumbar support
Cons: Delayed without notice and broken sound system for tv screen.
Cons: I could not get a seat assignment or a boarding pass for my connecting flight
Pros: Ease of booking
Cons: No complaints
Pros: The crew members were also friendly
Cons: The boardung gate was changed but no announcement was made
Pros: Flight crew were friendly
Cons: Ground staff were terrible and the ground crew mysteriously disappeared. Air conditioning was not working on the flight while it was on the ground. All passengers sweating for an hour on the tarmac. Flight arrived 2.5 hrs late resulting in a missed connection.
Pros: The staff was helpful and courteous. I liked the tv selection especially the Canadian content.
Cons: The flight was delayed because of electric problems. The complimentary snacks aren't as good as other airlines.
Pros: It was such a nice normal flight compared to the other flights on this trip.
Cons: Still too much carry on to deal with before take off.
Pros: Paid for the "upgraded" seat only to be told we had to be in the back of the plane. Moving back all rows had one person and one chair open, so we had to sit apart. Useless crew as an elder couple asked to sit together and were told to check with passengers. Oh and the flight was delayed 3 times.
Pros: service, friendly attendants, amenities
Pros: The landing...
Cons: Left late and overall once again did not find the staff to be exceptionally helpful.
Cons: French annoying
Pros: The flight was on time!!!
Cons: I find over the past 25 years that I have been flying with Air Canada the customer service has really went to the dumps !!! Every body is rude and don't understand why.
Pros: Liked being distracted by a free movie.
Pros: Quick easy, I hate that I have to go through sercurity again... but oh well.
Cons: Refer to last one.
Pros: Crew friendly and helpful. Short flight. Great service (got a soda and pretzels on a 30 minute flight)
Cons: Small, worn plane.
Cons: Flight was 45 min late leaving & I only had 1 hr between the next flights. Because Winnipeg is a small airport, I just made the next connection but no time to go to the restroom.
Pros: We checked in online and were able to very quickly and efficiently check our bags and board.
Cons: We did not have in flight entertainment. We had to pay $10 to rent an iPad.
Pros: crew was awesome
Cons: that people can recline their seats in coach. very uncomfortable and there's really not enough room to do this.
Cons: 1h15 late
Pros: The crew was very helpful.
Cons: Entertainment was terrible.
Pros: The flight from DC to Toronto was late around four hours and after we got on the plane We went back and we were waiting at the airport while get more fuel and which repaired the fault on the plane. so I was late for my next flight to FrankfurtSo I was put on a flight to Frankfurt with a connection in Lisbon. In the end, my suitcase was lost and I got it only two days later. Never I will no longer use AirCanada small planes !
Cons: We nearly missed a chance to disembark between storms because an idiot decided to grab his bags before we could move. None of the flight crew came to yell at the dummy who was holding us up.
Cons: Cancelled flight and didn't even tell me a reason. They couldn't even make reservation for hotel. Hotel sent me back to airport because i didn't have voucher which AIr Canada guys said they can't make one? Everything didn't make sense. And they told me not to come again. They took like... whole day to book another flight. And i had hard time understanding what they were saying.
Pros: Price good; seat comfort OK.
Cons: Late to board, late to take off, late to land: no explanations other than "We're third in line."
Pros: On the whole it was a pleasant experience despite the flight being late.
Cons: I thought that the flight being delayed by almost 2 hours was terrible. That should not have happened.
Cons: The flight was 2 hours late. It had apparently arrived late, and then they had mechanical problems. Air Canada gave me some inaccurate information which delayed me in Montreal and made me miss my connection to Toronto. Also, even though I specified to the flight attendant that I was connecting to Toronto before going to the US , they only gave me the US custom form even though you apparently need to fill the Canadian one even if you are just transiting through the country.
Pros: Nothing - they were immature, unprofessional, nervous, unhelpful, and visibly shaken by relatively side problems.
Cons: The flight was delayed for hours but not technically cancelled, which the ground crew blamed upon the flight crew and vice versa. The failure to cancel caused us to be unable to rebook, and subsequent avoidable delays arising from Air Canada's ineptitude caused us to be two, days late for arrival. The problem was solvable with some simple rebooking, but the ground, crew failed to assist, then the flight crew, when we finally left five hours late, was Impersonable, unhelpful, uninformed, and utterly unprepared. It was a terrible, second rate, poor quality experience and I would not recommend Air Canada to anyone. Your airline needs serious training in Professionalism and responsiveness.
Pros: The service was good
Cons: There was no entertainment.
Pros: The crew was very nice and accommodating and the flight itself was great
Cons: We had a 2 hour delay and almost missed our connection
Cons: Connecting from London through Toronto to Winnipeg couldn't be accomplished in a 2.25 hr layover. Long line for immigration and and enormous line to go through security again meant I missed my flight and the next one was full. It gave me 5 hours to think of all the reasons why I won't connect through Toronto again.
Cons: I was not able to board this flight. And it was such a disappointment and a shocking first for me. I reached the airport and on being checked at the counter, I was told that I cannot board because I don't have a Canadian visa. It was shocking to learn that I needed visa for a 1.5 hour layover. The website should give a prompt or should share the requirements. And all my ticket money got wasted.
Cons: Flight left almost one hour late
Pros: The ground crew were always nice and friendly. They worked hard to deal with delayed flight, missed connection, and tight alternate connection. Flight crew were also friendly and helpful.
Cons: Four-hour flight delay released in one hour increments without announcement -gate displayed "on time departure" for the duration of the delay. Our hassles were compensated with meager meal vouchers given too late, There was no pre-boarding on our flight (just one big cattle call) which made boarding with child and gear extra awkward,
Cons: The flight was 3 hours delayed and we were not kept informed. In fact, the airport boards still displayed that this flight was on time, which was not correct. I kept getting emails of a change in schedule, but no reason was given by personnel at the gate. This was really a bad situation for me as I was meeting my daughter in Toronto who was flying alone with her infant son and she needed my help.
Pros: Friendly crew and quick flight once we got moving
Cons: The flight left over an hour late with no real explanation as to why
Pros: The staff was very pleasant, upbeat, and excited to be back at Dulles. They will be offering 3 direct flights daily to Toronto which will be great!
Cons: We boarded over an hour late and departed over an hour and a half late and the plane only arrived about 10 minutes behind schedule. The staff seemed very new and was unable to get us out of the airport in a timely fashion which caused a few people to miss their international connecting flights.
Cons: air canada overbooks their flights....consequently, i wasn't able to be on the flight that i had booked with kayak. they have flex seating which gives business people who fly alot preference to change their flights at a moment's notice. bad policy for the rest of us.
Cons: gate was changed without an announcement flight was twice delayed
Pros: Organized boarding and in flight service
Cons: Late departure
Pros: The atention
Cons: The 5 hour flight was extremely full. No chance of social distancing. Did not feel safe for my family.
Pros: La atención súper mal La azafata con una mala actitud cuando me hacia una pregunta Retraso de más de una hora en la salida del vuelo
Cons: Necesitan una mejor capacitación en la atención al cliente las azafatas
Pros: This flight was cancelled
Cons: Hire better competent people
Pros: The airline tried to keep us as comfortable as possible in the airport. The crew was fantastic.
Cons: Since we were in DC, I don't know why it took four hours to bring in another plane, since we were so close to major cities.
Cons: We did not have dinner as we tried to get some sleep on this 6.5 hour overnight flight to London. The 767 was in a 2-3-2 configuration for economy plus and general economy. Thankfully they kept the temps cool to the point where we used our coats as additional blankets. I appreciated that the FA’s did not wake us for dinner and they closed my window shade at some point. They were 100% polite and helpful. That said, with the new Polaris Business Sears, UAL has eliminated the restrooms between Business and Economy. So it is a very long walk to the restrooms from Econ Plus and it appears that there are only 4 restrooms for about 120 passengers. Absurd. My family made do because we used the restrooms in the middle of the night when most people were sleeping but this would have been a nightmare after breakfast or with a small child. It appears that UAL has gone for profit over customer satisfaction.
Cons: Very small cramped aircraft
Cons: Food could of had a better selection but wasn’t the worst I’ve had
Pros: The controlled and orderly way when boarding.
Cons: The staff from the desk was unfriendly. On boarding no one showed you where your seat is located. The food was dreadful. The same aweful pasta meal on the outbound journey was served again. During the flight I was feeling very unwell I asked the flight attendant our axeick bag which she brought, but I was told to go to the toilet. She did not return to enquire after my well being. I was in the toilet for 5 minutes. Very uncaring. The tea was cold when served
Pros: Smooth flight
Cons: The tray cannot be pullled closer for eating. The seat sitting up is very uncomfortable for reading. I would have liked a pillow. Th poor man in front of me asked for a coke after the meal service was done, and the flight attendant said she had to reserve it for the next flight?! The male announcer flight attendant was very hard to understand, some of his words were slurred and garbled. And the volume was always too loud for both the male and female announcers. There was no entertainment unless you downloaded the app.
Pros: Great inflight service! On the ground faster than expected.
Cons: I asked to complementary check my small carry on, but the attendants at the desk would not let me. The stewardesses were booked too closely to their last flight and we were delayed - huge oversight. Boarding was chaotic as the gate immediately across from us was simultaneously boarding and the United staff made the whole process long and miserable by failing to call the next boarding group in a timely fashion. This is not the first time I’ve felt miserable while trying to board a United flight :/.
Pros: Good plane good entertainment
Cons: Chaotic boarding. Attendants could not put could together. I bought business ckass tickets to my daughter and her husbandfie their honeymoon. They could not use the business lounge: when they arrived they were told that they needed to wait in front of the boarding gate. They waited two hours asking many times why they could not get their seats. They were ordered to stand by and wait to be called. Finally they insisted and they got two sits but not side by side. It was too late to use the business class lounge. What a shame. Food was so basic. Noodles overcooked with few veggies that all. Cabin attendants we're stressed and rude
Cons: It appears united is unable to fly their planes on times, in particular on the East Coast. We were delayed by 90min on each legs
Pros: The stewards were nice. The entertainment package was good. Food was ok (coach)
Cons: 6 1/2 hour delay due to navigation system crash. Two gate changes and a terminal change. New seats assigned, but then when 3rd plane was brought in, it had the exact configuration of the first and we were told we should use the original boarding passes. These turned out to be wrong because they reseated after the first plane went down and it’s replacement wasn’t the same configuration. We never saw that plane, or the gate it was assigned to. When we went to rebound, my wife I am were separated. We were moved to the way back (screaming baby sandwich - one in front and one behind us). Then we spent an hour in the worst turbulence I’ve seen in 20 years - I nearly vomited. the last 6 hours of this 15 hour ordeal were fine.
Cons: Our flight to Munich arrived late. And our connecting flight to Milan was originally scheduled to leave just 50 minutes after our arrival in Munich. We did not make our flight to Milan and have lost a half day of time at our destination, as well as more than $100 in non-refundable Italian train tickets. Even if our plane had arrived to Munich on time it would have been nearly impossible to make our connecting website. Flight pairings with this short of a layover should not be suggested at this airport when travelers are required to go through passport control.
Pros: Comfortable. Good entertainment and good service. Crew was nice
Cons: Missed our flight from Brussels to Zurich. United said we were booked on next flight six hours later. Gave us vouchers and that was it. Went to check in and the carrier said sorry you can’t board United did not book you. The voucher just has prior info and this flight time. So we missed getting on that flight 3 total hours on the phone with United and they did nothing but put us on hold. Thank you to Brussels air who finally after many years and frustration helped us so we could leave. More than 10 hours later than we should have. Horrible experience and we lost a day of vacation and pre paid plans for the evening I will never use kayak again for international flights. As that was part of the problem per United (probably BS but won’t ever risk it again) and will never use United airlines again as their customer service and lack of caring showed that companies true colors. I hope the rest of this dream vacation is better than this nightmare was.
Pros: Attentive cabin crew and decent food/wine selection, but....
Cons: This format of business class seating leaves a lot to be desired. There is literally no place to store anything except maybe your cellphone on the shelf under the TV screen. No room for a backpack on the floor - has to be in the overhead. Not convenient on an 8-hour overnight. Seats are tight - could not lay on my back - had to sleep on my side. No separation between seats - it was a 2, 4, 2 layout and the guy next to me coughed all night. At least I wasn't in one of the middle seats. Expensive flight for that type of setup IMHO. And given it was a 777, the plane was big enough.
Cons: Lufthansa as an agent is a mistake! I had to deal with them prior to flying to the US. I have never ever had to deal with such bad service in my entire life. United was great though and I highly recommend them.
Pros: The pilots were informative with their announcements and we were informed of turbulence before it started. We also got in ahead of schedule. I also appreciated being able to ask for a glass of water between services as I had fallen asleep.
Cons: The negative experiences started before we got on the plane. Boarding began slightly behind schedule and was very disorganized. People were all standing in the boarding area and out into the walkway for the concourse. I feel it would be better to have boarding groups come up individually or two at a time. (While group one boards, group two convenes. Once group one has boarded, invite group three to take their place.) Once group three had boarded, an announcement was made that there was no overhead bin space availble for the entirety of group 4. It seems a bit ridiculous that nearly half the plane wouldn’t have overhead space. It took awhile to board group 4 as everyone had luggage to check and once we finally got down the jetway, we had to wait another few minutes before being able to get to our seats as the flight attendant for first class insisted on taking drink orders while she stood in the aisle. I understand this is a perk of first class but I feel it could be better executed. These seats are boarded in group one so to have drink orders incomplete by the time group four is trying to board is irritating at best and incompetent at worst. Once finally at our seats, it became apparent that the announcement about lack of overhead bin space had been made a bit early. The bins were on the full side but they definitely had space available. Also, much of the space had been taken up by jackets and bags that would have fit under the seats; which I felt could have prevented nearly all of the checked bags. The flight was uneventful with minor annoyances like having to pay for entertainment and any sort of food. Even southwest provides entertainment free of charge and I consider them to be more of a budget airline. If I fly Lufthansa again, I will not take a domestic flight through United and will instead book via southwest to and from the international airport Lufthansa flies out of.
Pros: Despite sitting in the middle seat and being well over 6 feet, there was room.
Pros: The price, the mango sorbet, short flight into Belgium, the coffee, the water being offered often
Cons: The tray was very dirty and obviously had not been disinfected from the previous flight. So I brought it to the attention of one of the crew members, and I felt like she made fun of me in front of other passengers for not liking my tray dirty; and she got a little paper towel for serving, wet it with a bottled water, and wiped my tray quickly. Not hygienic at all and not a word of apology. AIR FRANCE is so much better when it comes to customer service! Also I did not like the constant interruption on the speakers, very loud in my headsets and difficult to watch a movie on tiny screens. The crew members seemed very bossy and uncaring, if not actually rude.
Pros: Nothing really everyhing was mediocre.
Cons: Delayed baggage, smelly flight, food
Pros: Clean aircraft good entertainment, cockpit crew polite
Cons: The check in staff were unbelievably rude nearly looked and were abrupt and dismissive to a simple question. The cabin crew looked scruffy, and clearly had a lack of pride in their job and presentation. This is the first time I have ever flown United and I must say I would avoid flying with them again if possible, which is a shame and the aircraft and the entertainment on board were good
Pros: The check in was good. The craft was clean.
Pros: Boarding was smooth enough
Cons: I'm a disabled person, I need an aisle seat for my long legs and busted knees, but the aisle seats had about 1/3 the space for feet as the other seats. My knees were pushing into the seat in front of me. Drinks went around once about 1 hour in to the 5 hour flight, but not again after that, though they came by to collect trash 5 times. Flight crew were polite, but some clearly didn't want to be there. This is the first flight I've ever been on where I was in tears from pain, and i felt like i couldnt ask for water or even the wheelchair I needed after the flight.
Pros: The short lines for boarding, but then again these were small flights. The flights taking off early when all passengers were boarded. The flights arriving much earlier than scheduled.
Cons: The basic economy flight is bullshit. We both know that it's better to just buy an economic flight. So why even pretend and lie to customers to precast the basic economy flight knowing full well that's just going to force them to have to check in their bags which end up costing more than an economic flight? Why not just offer the regular economy flight price and leave it at that. If the overhead bins are full, offer the passengers a chance to check in their bags for free. What you're doing is preying on the poor who already do not have much which is why they choose the basic economy flight without realizing the full extent of the set up.
Pros: Decent leg room. Wonderful to do the flight non-stop from NYC to Delhi.
Cons: United. September 14 Newark to Delhi Premium Economy Entertainment screen didn't work for 1st hour of the flight. the movie list was mediocre at best. The screen was smeared with some substance. The list of movies on the United entertainment app is great (via internet) but connectivity on this type of flight is spotty so the traveler is forced back to the antique screen plane system. Dinner. Butter chicken or vegetable options. Food was bland and very small portions for the length of flight. The snack was delivered immediately after dinner was picked up. I did not open it. Looked like a hard roll with something on it. Style of service is abrupt, bordering on rude. Uses terminology that non-US travelers from different cultures would not understand, for instance do you want "white" coffee. Asked me if I had someone at home to pick up after me as she felt she was cleaning too much off the floor. Her comments appeared to be directed at me but it was not my trash (and even if it was, a better approach would be recommended). The flight attendant realized she had gone too far and apologized. Then complained about this "route" being difficult, with no one listening. She concluded by wishing me a good flight and saying that she hoped that she had not offended me. I assured her that she had. Breakfast was mediocre. Egg with soggy potatoes and an inedible sausage. Did not see what they were offering in the veggie dish. Staff seems tired and not culturally sensitive. There needs to be some retraining and consideration given to long haul menus and entertainment. I take this flight at least once a year. It continues to deteriorate.
Pros: Crew were amazing, so friendly and helpful Entertainment system was so so good Landed early
Cons: Overnight wasn't the easiest flight in the seats Serving people coffee when others are probably trying to sleep probably wasn't the wisest idea either Pre flight queue system is just baffling
Pros: Comfortable seats
Cons: Boarding took a long time in the plane. There was confusion as they had passengers going both ways in the aisle .. this forced several ppl to stand in the aisle a long time. One of the air hostess had a major attitude. For example one passenger who was stuck in the middle of other passengers asked her politely if she could help him put the carry on in an overhead bin near her .. and she responded "I cant help you, you need to put it up yourself sir". Not something one expects. She was also terse with passengers, ordering them in an annoyed tone.
Pros: One of us had the last seat on the plane even though they were reserved almost a month ago. However we had signed up for basic economy so that was not a shock. What was a shock was that water was dripping from the top side track onto his lap and he had to use the provided brochures to redirect the dripping water. The steward said it was condensation and that was it. Also, since it was next to bathroom, the smell wasn't great and the small child screaming while waiting to get into the bathroom wasn't pleasant.
Cons: We were forced to deplane in DC and instructed to go to the United customer service counter to arrange our missed connections in Frankfurt. After standing in line at the United counter for 2 hours, we were told to go to our gate to re-board our plane. we wasted all that time standing and all but 2 agents had left the counter to take a break. it was EXTREMELY STRESSFUL not knowing what would happen to our missed connections. when we reboarded WE still did not have connecting flights. Also, on the United flight to Frankfurt, I had a premium economy seat and it was HORRIFIC. the extra leg room did NOT make the seat more comfortable and I SUFFERED greatly because I am recovering from an injury. Upon arrival in Frankfurt, after a great deal of begging, I got a hotel room for the night and upgrad to economy premium for the flight from Frankfurt to Addis. that Lufthana flight was better because my seat reclined somewhat but still I had a great deal of pain throughout the flight and I would have preferred to have been upgraded to business so that I could lay flat to ease my physical pain. Overall, the experience was extremely STRESSFUL and painful and the only way, I feel that Lufthana can repair this situation is to give me a free upgrade to business on my flight home.to Miami
Pros: The crew was all very polite, attentive and helpful. They were troupers amid a flight gone bad.
Cons: My wife and I booked a round trip to California from Connecticut. We had a layover in Dulles with plenty of time to change gates. We arrived at our gate and established our place in the waiting area. We were then required to change gates; this was not horribly stressful as the gate was near by: However, on the return flight things changed. Keep in mind that my wife has arthritic hips and knees and I have arthritic knees. Arriving at Dulles, we went to our waiting area at Gate C-19 and ordered a breakfast at a nearby kiosk. Before our order was ready an announcement stated that our gate was changing to D-24. We waited for our order but had to leave the coffees behind because the lids did not fit correctly and we didn't want to spill them on ourselves while hurrying to the new gate (about a mile away). We finally got to that gate and boarded the plane. We wanted to wait to eat our food until we were airborne. We waited on the plane for about 45 minutes in the heat. During that time the "gate attendant" announced that they were waiting for that pilot who could not be found but was in the airport. At the same time my United App on my iPhone messaged me that there was a mechanical issue with the plane and we were waiting for another plane. At the 45 minute mark we were told the plane had a mechanical issue and we would have to disembark and go to Gate D-1 (about 1/2 mile away). My wife and I were already exhausted and needed to stop, but we did not know how long we had before boarding the new plane so we pushed onward. We then were told the plane would be a couple hours and that there was snack and water at no charge. My wife and I proceeded to dissect our breakfast sandwiches to eat what ever was still less than discussing. The new plane arrived and all else went well. We were delayed over 3 hours but made it to Connecticut; exhausted and sore. We had been awake for over 29 hours by the time we hit Hartford, CT. This experience will linger in our minds for a long time and travel by United my not be possible for us. We are very traumatized.
Cons: I had a man sit next to me who was in the wrong seat but didn't move. He told the girl to keep his seat and he would stay next to me. He was so big he was in my space and had didn't make any effort to try not to spill over in my area. I had to put a magazine next to my thigh because his body was so hot it was damp! I hated the entire trip. I was cramped up and extremely uncomfortable. This is simply unacceptable to have this happen because huge people can't fit in one seat. I want these obese people to be required to purchase 2 seats because they take mine.
Pros: Plane left on time
Cons: I know Hawaii is a domestic flight but offering a cookie and a bag of pretzels on an 11 hour flight is ridiculous. There was something wrong with screen at my seat. They tried fixing it but no luck. It was very frustrating. The second leg of my journey was from D.C. To Newark. A "puddle jumper "that you disembark from onto the tarmac, get to wait in the rain while they unload you "carry on" luggage from the back of the plane. Herd you onto a bus yelling at you" if your going to gate C this bus going to gate A that bus".No one to ask "how do I know what gate I am supposed to go to?". They definitely treated"commuter "passengers like sheep. "Thank You For Flying With United "blah blah blah
Pros: The stewards were nice and they were prompt. The plane seemed to be well cleaned inside and they were quick to get everyone boarded and bags stowed underneath. The pilot knew what he was doing and I had no worries there. Everyone was doing their jobs as well as they could be done.
Cons: The air nozzle above my seat was broken and would not turn off so I freezing the entire flight, as well as the tray table seeming like it was meant for the lap of an infant versus myself and I can't imagine how someone with longer legs than myself dealt with the way it folded down. The take off was rough either seemingly due to tires or perhaps a rough runway. The wifi on the plane would not work. It worked ok my first flight but not on the second. I don't know why and no one knew why either, had the latest app and it was updated to the current version.
Pros: I liked that they were polite and friendly during the national United flight groundings due to the computer error.
Cons: I did not like the terrifying situation in which the pilot said we would be landing in 15 minutes (at this point we were close enough to the ground that I could see cars ) but then without any further announcement proceeded to point the plane upwards and started flying up up up so that all the city lights disappeared and all I could see were stars next to us. I asked 2 different flight attendants wtf was going on and they both said "oh he's just looking for smooth air" which was clearly BS because I was in the very last row of the plane and if there had been rough air I would have been the first to feel it. After inexplicably shooting upwards for what felt like an eternity we finally turned around and ultimately landed and guess what, no rough air to be found. Now I know why airplane pilots update you all the time, because when he pulls a maneuver like that without any warning it is terrifying and all I could think of was the suicidal dude in Germany from Lufthansa. Not cool. Other than that the flight was fine and they were really nice despite the like 3 hour delay or whatever it was. It cost me an extra $60 cause I arrived so late my husband and baby couldn't pick me up anymore but they offered a credit for a future flight so it's ok. I appreciate the gesture.
Cons: The terminal number on my ticket was wrong and when me and some other customers asked the flight lady what was going on she was of very little help. Not only that but she was making a personal phone call. So I had to rush to the other end and then just to find out that they didn't have enough room to put my carry on so I had to place it enbetween my legs which made for an even more uncomfortable flight. Also one of the flight attendant was particularly rude and kept saying she had to do her job in a very rude tone to the point were an older retired man told her he's worked too hard in his life time to be talked to like that. Overall the poorest plane experience I've ever had and I fly quite a bit.
Pros: Some things about the flight were normal.
Cons: Our incoming flight was late arriving at Dulles. We bolted from that flight to the gate for our connecting flight to GSP. Two of our party of six made it and got onboard telling staff we were coming. We arrived moments later - moments later! - but were denied access because they said we were a minute late. Our small plane was just outside the door with access door still open and staff going in and out. Next flight was 5 hours later. We asked to speak to a supervisor and that was ignored until we demanded attention. The supervisor came 1.5 hours after we were denied plane access. Customer concern was nonexistant on this day.
Cons: I was bumped from my confirmed flight and had to sprint across the airport to catch an earlier flight where they put me in the back of the plane in a middle seat with an entertainment monitor that didn't work. The flight attendant said she'd try to reset the monitor and then never came back the rest of the flight. I also was not compensated for agreeing to take another flight than the one I booked, paid for and successfully checked in for. I also got into Austin later than I wanted with this new flight I was forced to take. Overall this experience was a terrible one unfortunately.
Pros: Boarding was fast and easy. Crew was kind to allow me to use an empty seat in the middle row and get more space. Managed to connect to onboard entertainment with a tablet and avoided to use the tiny screen that still exists on United's 767s.
Cons: Food was a bit tasteless.
Pros: Aircraft remained grounded for 1h due to a door switch with malfunction.
Pros: Very smooth and comfortable flight.
Cons: So we arrived at the desk after a 7hr international flight ready for the final 1hr leg - only to be confronted with "flight overbooked" looking for 9 volunteers - how can you over book a 40 seat flight by 9 ???? So we had an anxious wait wondering if we'd be dumped from the flight - we weren't but it wasn't enjoyable waiting for the flight and our meeting with our grand kids.
Cons: My connecting flight from Chicago to Madison was cancelled with no explanation and no other alternatives provided, other than to get a hotel in Chicago and try to catch a flight to Madison the next day. United said they would not cover the cost of transportation to a hotel or the cost of the hotel. In addition, my luggage was misplaced and sent to Madison and could not be located. The number United provided to me to check on the whereabouts of my bag no one ever answered, even though I called multiple, multiple times.
Pros: Planes get delayed for all kinds of reasons both in and out f control of the airline. but something the airline does have control over is how it handles the sitsituatioby letting the passengers know their patience is appreciated. We sat on the runway for 2 and a half hours in summer afternoon in Washington DC because of weather in New York. Only once were we offered a small cup of tepid water. Then someone remembered the pets stuck in the cargo hold, and we went back to the gate. After deplaning, we stood at the gate for thirty minutes and weren't given vouchers for refreshments on the concourse nor bottles or at least bottles of water. Finally we were called for boarding, and then 10 minutes after that, the first passenger actually got on. After a second boarding we made it out to the runway... where we sat for another 40 minutes. Keep in mind, this particular plane has no seat outlets nor in seat entertainment systems, so most people had either dead or dying phones at this point, rendering the "complimentary in flight entertainment" available through the United app useless. Once we were finally in air, we weren't comped drinks or Internet or any other amenity offered by United. I've been stuck in situations like this on other airlines, but they worked to provide the barest glimmer of hospitality. Fly the friendly skies? Nah, we'll overcharge you for everything because our business model is unsustainable but our majority shareholders couldn't care less. A Star Alliance Member™.
