The second flight Alaska Airlines from Washington DC to Portland was delayed, but I never flew. I got a direct flight from American Airlines from Charlotte to Portland instead."

No apologies, no concern, no trying to find an alternate solution. I couldn't figure out how to work the Wi-Fi and so I asked a crew member and she was less concerned about trying to help me figure it out and was more concerned about trying to get me to rent an iPad."

Many other airlines will allow you to make exceptions when checking in late (I was still nearly 40 minutes prior to flight departure) and let me still check a bag OR allow me and my baby to stay on the same flight without the bag."

After the front desk continuously trying to explain to me how it was my fault some how, I HAD TO PURCHASE A SEPARATE TICKET ON A DIFFERENT AIRLINE OUT OF MIA AT 5AM TO MAKE THE WEDDING!!!! This is beyond unacceptable and as someone that travels for work and stays roughly 100 nights a year in hotels, I WILL NEVER ALLOW YOUR COMPANY TO BE ABLE TO PUT ME IN THIS SITUATION AGAIN!!!!"

We spent an hour with Suitcase Services, but could not find out who took my husband’s suitcase. (No ID inside theirs) I recommend that you board lower numbered rows first so that people in the back rows don’t take the front bins!"

There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite."

Cons: "Didn’t like the credit card advertising announcement over the intercom and then again by the crew. The lack of food and snack options was pretty sad but that’s par for the course nowadays. One of my pet peeves: People boarded with out verification of their boarding pass location. By the time we boarded, 90% of the plane was loaded and we were in the middle. Luckily that had no impact but annoying bc people are trying to get their overhead bins before they run out, which they did."
Pros: "We were 40 minutes delayed but received good communication and had an uneventful flight otherwise."
Cons: "There was no one at the ticket kiosk located by TSA and no sign that said they would be back or to go to another booth. After waiting 10 minutes I️ went upstairs and found a chaotic mass of people checking in at the actual open kiosk. The check in process was not clearly defined and even after spending 30 minutes checking a bag I️ still had to care my checked bag down to another TSA check line. In their boarding area there were minimal phone chargers. The plane was small and no leg room and a rigid uncomfortable seat. Also the flight was at night and they kept the cabin lights on. That was super frustrating to an exhausted traveler who was trying to sleep."
Pros: "Competent crew; flight arrived on time with my luggage."
Cons: "Plane was jammed full; so much so that even passengers like me, who paid to check one of my bags, still had to put my one carry-on under the seat in front of me instead of in an overhead compartment. I expected some legroom because I paid to check my bag. Unfortunately because of American Airlines I had next to no legroom. I'll be avoiding AA where possible on all of my future travels."

Cons: "They had no record of this portion of my trip, after a few people checked they found the Chicago to Ammon part so they added me onto a flight from Washington to Chicago. All should of went well from there but they sent me to the wrong gate. Luckily I just made it to the correct gate for boarding. Upon arriving at Chicago there was no one available to provide information on how to get to Royal Jordanian gates. Also on my AA portion of my flight coming into The U S in New York the flight was cancelled and I was told the next flight Available was next day (18hr delay) at the other NY airport. I had to have someone drive from D.C. (My destination) to pick me up"

Pros: "ON TIME I want to mention GLORIA who was the flight attendant from ORD to Reagan on my way out. She was funny and had us laughing. I flew out Tuesday June 28th but didn't take the survey for that flight."

Cons: "My initial flight from PWM to DCI was canceled within an hour of boarding time, and reschedule for a whole day later. Despite calling customer service, I was offered no form of compensation or alternative route at that time. My rescheduled flight for the next day had a last minute gate change, and then was then delayed for over one hour. I wasn't alerted until I was already at the gate. On my return journey from DCI to PWM, I was not given a seat assignment, my gate was changed 5 minutes before boarding, then the flight was delayed 45 minutes before the initial boarding time. After boarding, our plane was delayed on the runway for over an hour due to a mechanical problem. I was supposed to arrive home at 11:30pm, but did not land in Portland until 1:15am. I understand that unexpected problems occur, but not ONE part of my trip went according to the itinerary. Even the adjusted schedule eventually had to be adjusted (or readjusted). Each of these schedule changes meant I missed out on some very important events. This flight was affordable, but not cheap. Had I known I wasn't able to make certain appointments, I would have reconsidered even spending the money to make the trip. I'm very disappointed that American not only did not over some form of compensation, but flat out denied me any sort of voucher when I very meekly asked. Why should I consider spending money on another flight with American in the future, when I CANNOT count on any sort of schedule reliability? Or, when things go wrong, I cannot count on being supported as a valued customer through some sort of compensation?"

Instead they wait till the last minute costing us valuable time. In the future, they should pay us the 25 dollar bag fee when they arbitrarily make this decision."

Didn't realize my TSA wasn't accepted with this ticket, also I'm was in group 5 & always in middle seat. First time I flew on United. Cons: "I realize that the airline doesn't have much control over screaming babies, but the reality is, my flight experience was significantly worse because of one, a couple rows back, who kept screaming at the top of their voice for most of the flight. While everyone was seating themselves, my fellow rowmates asked me to exchange my window seat for an aisle seat, so that grandmother, mother, and daughter could sit together. That put me two rows closer to that screaming baby. I came prepared to watch a movie with my phone and new noise canceling headphones, and then discovered the United Wi-Fi didn't offer movies on that flight, the same aircraft type and route as when I was able to watch a movie that way, earlier this year. I didn't find a way to connect my Bluetooth headphones to the plane's entertainment system, and I'm also disappointed in myself, to have to say, it took me far too long, to figure out that I needed to interact with the screen in front of me, through the control pad under my elbow on the armrest. By that time, there wasn't enough time left in the flight, to start a movie. So, I just played music stored on my phone, which helped mask the baby screams."

No food tickets. Rude responses like this gem: pointed out how long I was waiting with no word --> told by a united employee that he's been there since 7am. I point out he's bad to be there. He says he's not. I guess a united volunteer then? Then only handed out water since 'it's a short flight'. Useless."

A number of us had to get off to check our bags and while we were checking them, a guy flying first class had a bag and while we are checking our luggage the pilot comes out and says "first class? Oh we will make room on the plane for you sir." And as a result of all of this, we missed our spot in the takeoff line, delayed the flight, and we almost missed our connection. Lastly, they overbooked the flight by TEN people. TEN."

I had a precious experience from a different airline that didn't wait for us, 6 of us with first class tickets, and we were only 5 min late! So, great that United waited for these passengers. After 3 weeks, he was stable enough to come back to Houston on an air ambulance. As I travelled with him on the air ambulance, I was unable to use the return portion of my round-trip ticket. I provided documentation of the situation and requested a refund. I received $106 on a $715 ticket. There was no explanation of how they determined the refund, but I'm not happy."

Hate agent in KW said she would call us up to rebook us on 1:06 flight and never did. Most passengers could not understand the flight attendants announcements. Very poor experience.
