Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "I sat on the aisle. There is no room especially if you put your bag under the seat in front of you. I got hit 2x as the flight attendants moved the cart down the aisle. You can't lean back. I was fortunate to be able to place my coat in the overhead bin which is usually overcrowded."
Cons: "If the baggsge fee was less onerous more people would check bags and make boarding and deplaning faster. For God's sake give people more room between seats. Board people in the back first to spee the process. First window and aisles last. This would improve on time departures."
Pros: "the flight attendant was a little snippy with a couple of the passengers"
Cons: "need to change up the snacks a bit. Maybe offer 2 options? And they are so tiny"
Pros: "This was a horrible experience from the onsite until the landing."
Cons: "Better communication from the beginning and feedback about what was actually going on would have been helpful."
Pros: "The crew was ok. The seats were far from comfortable."
Cons: "The seats were so close together and did not recline to a comfortable position at all and to be a flight over 2 hours is just plain ridiculous! I will definitely be putting United on my list with Spirit from now on. Choosing either of them for such discomfort versus price savings is not worth it!"
Pros: "The boarding was quick and my seat was roomy and comfortable."
Cons: "The flight was delayed due to a ground stop. That was not the annoying part. At Ronald Reagan airport we were at gate 12, flight changed to gate 16 and then changed back to gate 12. A bit confusing."
Pros: "Economy plus"
Cons: "Very old plane"
Pros: "We were in first class and the internet was not working except for the last hour of the flight. Plus I and my wife were both charged $20 each which should have provided access for the entire5 1/2 hr trip."
Cons: "No internet"
Cons: "My one stop flight was delayed in both departures While checking in online I changed my seat to row 15C, and when checked prior to boarding, the change was not done and had to travel in row 39C The aisle space is too small, so every person coming to the bathroom pushed me, also the fly attendants while pulling the food cart. The leg room was too small. There were no sweet cookies within the snacks. Fly attendants did their work, but were not particularly pleasing."
Cons: "We didn't have seats assigned and the gate attendent didn't take the time to tell any of the 20 of us waiting for 15-20 mins to speak to a gate agent what was going on until AFTER she boarded the rest of the plane. When asked what was going on she responded "excuse me, I'll get to you when I get to you and thanks for your 'non attitude'" to the woman who asked her if she had any plans to greet us or even ackwnowledge us. Then the flight attendants became flustered as they realized they separated a 5 year old child and his father and sat the child in the emergency seat. When several of us attempted to help they were rude so when I put my headphones in to pass the time and didn't hear the woman ask if I was willing to sit in the emergency isle she snidely said "there's always one millenial not paying attention." Ummm.... I had my eyes closed and was listening to my music since they clearly wanted us to mind our own business and NOT try to help the father (meanwhile all of us strangers were trying to figure out how to rearrange in order to help). The only reason entertainment gets a 2 is bc I had good conversation with the passenger next to me, not because of anything United did. Really unbelievable that they continue to operate this way and treat PAYING customers like this. It's sad actually."
Pros: "Very baby friendly especially when the ground crew was delayed because of lightening. The crew let us sit down if we wanted while we waited for our strollers and car seats."
Cons: "No crew member at gate desk til right before flight."
Pros: "Everything!"
Cons: "N/A"
Pros: "Staff person resolved Issue quickly"
Cons: "Boarding pass From DCA-DEN did not scan. Flight attendant asked me while seated if I was JENNIFER DICKSON"
Pros: "Everyone was very helpful and very friendly. I had recently visited my,daughter and her family in March and flew with another airlines. I didn't have a good experience, they seemed rather bothered when I asked for some help. So this time my daughter booked my flight with United. Like I said everyone was helpful and very pleasant, it didn't seem to be an act. I enjoyed my flights. Thank you"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Smooth take off and landing"
Pros: "It's so convenient to fly directly to Western Kentucky and not have to drive to and from the Nashville airport (over two hours drive away.)"
Cons: "Warning to those who haven't been there: food is limited to vending machines at the Paducah airport. It's a small airport, but I'm delighted it's still available. Nashville airport is over two hours drive away."
Pros: "Seat was pretty comfortable, as it goes in coach these days."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled which I accept, but couldn't get me on another flight for 24 hours???? (When at least 15 flights, some with empty seats, went to Chicago in that time!!!). That's bull United."

Cons: "Perfect weather. Delayed an hour."
Cons: "Coach cramped"
Pros: "The flight arrived"
Cons: "United claimed the flight was delayed due to weather but two other flights to Houston were able to leave on time and no other United flights appeared to have been delayed. No apologies, no compensation, did not even give free access to wifi during flight."
Pros: "I liked that it was a short flight."
Cons: "The seating space mostly. And the long layovers and continual delays I experienced from Friday and Sunday. The flight attendant wasn't very pleasant or welcoming."
Pros: "Flight was ahead of schedule. Crew was very nice"
Cons: "Very cramped in the middle seat. Little cushion"
Cons: "they couldnt find the pilot. they said they didnt have enough crew"
Pros: "United comfortable classy convenient. Ordered on time staff was friendly beverages are free and plenty of legroom thank you I will book again"
Pros: "Everything was good."
Cons: "Plane was late and we almost missed our connection in Newark"
Pros: "United service is awful."
Cons: "Wi-fi didn't work (3rd flight this trip). Ran out of cheese plate in the 2nd row... Really? Late departure caused missed connection. Then the customer service agents - if you can call them that -- were downright pathetic, absolutely no effort to deal with the crowds of people who needed help. Finally had to call UA while in line and got booked on another connecting flight to a connecting flight :( and they freaking gave me the wrong gate!"
Pros: "Timely departure. No delay."
Cons: "Seats were small. No wifi on this flight."
Cons: "The boarding process is ridiculous. Takes forever because it is totally irrational and driven by favoritism. Plus they don't enforce the baggage size rules."
Cons: "We did not leave on time"
Pros: "Susan Smith at check in counter Reagan National was very helpful, kind and service-oriented. I hope you recognize the gem you have."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and gate agents appeared tired, agitated, and unhelpful."
Pros: "Evening flight. Crew wasn't the nicest but they were professional nonetheless. Flight itself was smooth but a bit of a bumpy landing (I think it was a bit windy so not surprised. It is Ch). Not the best flight but certainly not the worst either."
Cons: "DirecTV in-flight entertainment. You pay or you're subjected to constant ads and/or snippets of shows. I'd rather watch one free movie that I can't choose rather than pay to watch bad TV."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight was canceled"
Cons: "A 6:30 pm flight that leaves at 8:15? What is there to like?"
Cons: "Sitting on the tarmac for 30+ min in Washington."
Cons: "they canceled my flight and couldn't reschedule. I had to pay for a rental car and drive to my destination which has ended up costing me more money and the flight was already very expensive to begin with."
Pros: "Flight was short."
Cons: "It was behind schedule. Cut it very close on making my connection to Dublin."
Pros: "Excellent service and friendly staff"
Cons: "Absolutely not enough room to stretch your legs"
Pros: "The flights were smooth and on time, even Early into mbj"
Cons: "Had purchased a round-trip ticket. While in D.C. on a family trip to bury my mother in Arlington National Cemetery, my brother had a massive heart attack. After 3 weeks, he was stable enough to come back to Houston on an air ambulance. As I travelled with him on the air ambulance, I was unable to use the return portion of my round-trip ticket. I provided documentation of the situation and requested a refund. I received $106 on a $715 ticket. There was no explanation of how they determined the refund, but I'm not happy."
