Cons: "The fact that the lack of knowledge regarding international travel visas by the counter staff and supervisor meant that two days of the vacation were lost. Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

Pros: "Economy seats are comfortable. I wasn't compressed in any way sitting in a window seat. Delta is my go-to airline. Not always the least expensive, but it's usually a pleasant trip."

Cons: "I was disappointed to be overcrowded in my seat. I sat next to a man who was too large to position the arm rest between us down. And as such, he took up about 1/3 of my seat. It was a really cramped flight and although I was polite, it's still very frustrating to pay for a seat, but only get access to 2/3 of it. I am 6'1, so every inch of my seat is typically used. It would be nice if there was a way to ensure this didn't happen. If people need more than 1 seat, they should be required to pay for more than one seat, and not 'steal' my space. Cons: "Missed original connection, booked on a three hour later flight that was delayed another hour, then three hours. Finally switched to Alaska 2 hours prior to departure. Was assured our bags would be on Alaska flight. They weren't. One eventually showed up in Spokane at 2 a.m. on a Delta flight the other on a separate Alaska flight at 3 a.m."

Cons: "This was my connecting flight, and also left late. I can't really rate the crew on either flight, because I didn't see them. It's also impossible for me to rate the food/beverage service, because there was none. I spent over 3 hours on planes, and no beverage service was provided. If you have connecting flights, are flying for business, or don't pack your own refreshments assuming that something standard services will be, well, standard, Delta is probably not who you want to fly with. I work in the industry and sm usually not this brutally honest, but the whole trip was pretty disappointing."

Cons: "The aircraft was new model 737-800, very nice! Except the seats are a bit hard. Not good for a 5 hour flight. What really made me angry is I paid for a Delta flight. What difference does it make!? On long Delta flights, you get a meal (you pay for it in the cost of your ticket), but I was put on an Alaska Airlines flight where the meals are $7.50! I think that if Delta puts you on an affiliated airline, they should pick up the tab for the meal. Entertainment is via your smartphone. Don't have a smartphone, no problem, cough up $10 for a 2 bit tablet to watch a movie!"

Pros: "I fly several times a year. I usually fly Southwest, I've never been happy with my experience with them. Delta has great customer service that makes me feel that I"m important to them. The flight attendants are very friendly, helpful, and genuine. It"s a nice added touch when the pilot stands there and greets the passangers. If I have a choice, I will never fly with any other airlines."
