Not with Delta - they really do go above and beyond and it is not lost on me."

While I understand there are some delays sometimes, this was the ONLY flight to Greensboro out of DCA, and the times kept changing throughout the day, even though the gate agents knew that the issue was that the crew was delayed. There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite."

Soon after we were told of a gate change, the marquee then said the flight would not arrive until 11 pm it is a one hour flight, so we actually arrived at 10 pm."

This wouldn't be so bad if they were able to handle it in an orderly way, but the airport showed complete incompetence in organizing anything and there were people everywhere trying to find the right door which kept changing on them, and the times kept changing...it was a mess. Then, when we finally got on the plane and were about to take off, the air traffic control tower called and said that their flight path was incorrect and to not take off...but didn't give them a new flight path for nearly two hours as we sat on the runway. Nationalize the airports in DC, fire the whole lot and start fresh, I'd say."

Followed by long customer service lines and "sorry buts" to flat out lying from gate attendants and stewardesses. I know most of the airlines do it but now that you are making a profit I think it's time to give back to the customer when weather complicates their travel. But most of all, please just give us the decency of the truth -- it sucks-- but we can handle it. Yes there will always be those out of control customers that scream and yell, but most of us, as what I witnessed-when it all breaks down--are chill and understand. Complimentary drinks. Coupons for a later flight. All hands on deck with crazy knowledge of the routes you fly to ease rebooking. I realize we as a people can't stop flying, whether it be for work or family needs, but you can't keep treating us like stupid cattle. Thank you whoever reads this for letting me express my frustration and thank you AA ultimately for getting me to my destination."

Yet at every stage the flight crew and gate staff did an outstanding job communicating and seeking to alleviate passenger woes. With delays, we missed connections, and yet AA worked wonderfully to find alternatives. At the end of the day, we arrived at our destination, and even our luggage made the trip successfully! Wonderful courtesy, adaptability, and determination to serve. Thank you."

New seats assigned, but then when 3rd plane was brought in, it had the exact configuration of the first and we were told we should use the original boarding passes. These turned out to be wrong because they reseated after the first plane went down and it’s replacement wasn’t the same configuration. We never saw that plane, or the gate it was assigned to. When we went to rebound, my wife I am were separated. We were moved to the way back (screaming baby sandwich - one in front and one behind us). Cons: "We took off about three hours late because of a small mechanical problem discovered after we boarded. The plane had been sitting at Dulles for 12 hours. Couldn't it have been checked earlier in the day?"

Pros: "Departed and landed on time; checked luggage returned in a relatively short period of time; crew pleasant; plane reasonably comfortable."
Cons: "In order to access the bus which took passengers to the plane required going down three flights of stairs and two flights up to the plane. This made carry on luggage and personal bag difficult."

Pros: "I liked the cabin and the many drinks."
Cons: "Too much food offered and it wasn't of any real quality, so processed and carb heavy. There was a maintenance issue with our screens for a few hours, that was a little disappointing."

Pros: "The flight attendants, service and comfort were very good."
Cons: "Because of plane maintenance the flight was 4 hours late. I stood in line for two hours to get my flight changed since I missed my connection in Frankfort, and never got it changed. I got to Frankfort and stood in 3 more lines to get on standby. I’m hoping to get to Naples before the last ferry to Capri in order to make my sister’s wedding."

Pros: "Flight attendants were very nice"
Cons: "Not much legroom in economy"

Pros: "Comfortable. Good entertainment and good service. Crew was nice"
Cons: "Missed our flight from Brussels to Zurich. United said we were booked on next flight six hours later. Gave us vouchers and that was it. Went to check in and the carrier said sorry you can’t board United did not book you. The voucher just has prior info and this flight time. So we missed getting on that flight 3 total hours on the phone with United and they did nothing but put us on hold. Thank you to Brussels air who finally after many years and frustration helped us so we could leave. More than 10 hours later than we should have. Horrible experience and we lost a day of vacation and pre paid plans for the evening I will never use kayak again for international flights. As that was part of the problem per United (probably BS but won’t ever risk it again) and will never use United airlines again as their customer service and lack of caring showed that companies true colors. I hope the rest of this dream vacation is better than this nightmare was."

Pros: "United got me from Dulles t o Zurich. The boarding, flight, and food was as expected."
Cons: "Not being able to select my seat in advance of the day before the flight is not ideal."

Pros: "We were surprised to find ourselves assigned to the bulkhead seats where we had extra legroom and great access to the restrooms."

Pros: "Customer service and everything else was great"
Cons: "Getting delayed. We were supposed to leave at 10 something PM but instead kept getting delayed until we finally left at 1:45am. That to me killed my overall experience for that flight considering that it's an 8 hour flight and that I needed to come back on that Monday. Less time do stuff for the weekend."

Cons: "I had broken table on my seat, then I needed to jump for eating several times."

Cons: "This format of business class seating leaves a lot to be desired. There is literally no place to store anything except maybe your cellphone on the shelf under the TV screen. No room for a backpack on the floor - has to be in the overhead. Not convenient on an 8-hour overnight. Seats are tight - could not lay on my back - had to sleep on my side. No separation between seats - it was a 2, 4, 2 layout and the guy next to me coughed all night. At least I wasn't in one of the middle seats. Expensive flight for that type of setup IMHO. And given it was a 777, the plane was big enough."

Pros: "Crew was courteous and food and snacks were good."
Cons: "By the time I got to my seat all overhead bins by my seat were all full so I had to take my carryon towards middle of the plane to place it in an overhead bin. I also had to remember to write down the number of that bin so I could retrieve my carryon at the end of my flight.Toilet was not very clean."

Pros: "Until they can make the chair recline backwards a little more (which, space issues may never allow for and I acknowledge this), and give food a bit more substantial then it won’t be 5 stars. However, exceptional stewartess and captains with humor made this 14 hour flight bearable."

Pros: "IAD to Brussels Flight is ok, just stuck between 2 guys with BO. Not really the United Airline's fault. But I hope they can atleast put a sign or something."

Cons: "I flew with 1 child and 1 infant and there was no help, not at check in, not at boarding nor from the crew on board. I requested a bassinet before the flight over the phone and didn't get it. There was an issue with the infant ticket and the United check in agent was incompetent to fix it, which made us late for boarding. No one helped me at boarding with taking the stroller from me. On board the crew members were annoyed when I ask for some hot water for a baby bottle. And it's sad that children don't get a kid's meal ( which we received flying with many other airlines) and have to eat the uneatable adult meal. That was my first and last time flying with United."

Cons: "Tried to book legroom online and by phone but told it was all sold out; only to arrive and find out it wasn't and had to pay $40 more."

Cons: "The food did not sit well with me. Seats became uncomfortable after a while, made it difficult to sleep."

Cons: "I paid for the internet that never worked. I couldn't watch a movie or TV either. It was t just me, a lot of people around me had the same issue."

Cons: "Crammed seats, poor quality entertainment system (but at least with access to in-seat monitor, while on the way to the US that was not available), no additional amenities of any kind, including in the restroom, bad quality and insufficient quantity for food and drinks, and the usual/to-be-expected poor/disrespectful attitude of the United flight and gate attendants."

Pros: "On-board WiFi was a nice touch, but redundant as there was no way to charge your electronic devices"
Cons: "Felt herded like cattle. Had to bring your own headphones... WTF? Children's meals requested for my 6-year-old were practically inedible. "Breakfast" consisted a stale, chewy croissant (which I believe I am still trying to digest a week later...) and yogurt. No USB port to charge electronic devices"

Cons: "For a trans-Atlantic flight this was a very small plane with very tight seats. The bathrooms smelled throughout the plane. Many seat back TVs didrn't function."
