Also another inch or 2 was taken by person in front of me putting their seat back. With such restrictive space why is this even possible??? Pros: "One of us had the last seat on the plane even though they were reserved almost a month ago. However we had signed up for basic economy so that was not a shock. What was a shock was that water was dripping from the top side track onto his lap and he had to use the provided brochures to redirect the dripping water. The steward said it was condensation and that was it. Also, since it was next to bathroom, the smell wasn't great and the small child screaming while waiting to get into the bathroom wasn't pleasant."

After standing in line at the United counter for 2 hours, we were told to go to our gate to re-board our plane. we wasted all that time standing and all but 2 agents had left the counter to take a break. it was EXTREMELY STRESSFUL not knowing what would happen to our missed connections. when we reboarded WE still did not have connecting flights.Also, on the United flight to Frankfurt, I had a premium economy seat and it was HORRIFIC. the extra leg room did NOT make the seat more comfortable and I SUFFERED greatly because I am recovering from an injury. Upon arrival in Frankfurt, after a great deal of begging, I got a hotel room for the night and upgrad to economy premium for the flight from Frankfurt to Addis. that Lufthana flight was better because my seat reclined somewhat but still I had a great deal of pain throughout the flight and I would have preferred to have been upgraded to business so that I could lay flat to ease my physical pain. Overall, the experience was extremely STRESSFUL and painful and the only way, I feel that Lufthana can repair this situation is to give me a free upgrade to business on my flight home.to Miami"

My entire day got wasted waiting for this baggage to reach me. Poor communication made me wait and watch the door every hour. I tried to reach and get some information on when that baggage would reach me but no body knows."

Cons: "There was no space for legs and feet. Rows are too close together in economy. Only my left foot could extend forward - a metal box was bolted to the floor where a right foot would go. Seatback pockets with magazines, headphones, etc take space that knees require. Then when my front neighbor fully reclined for 7 hours, I was really pinned in (middle seat of center section). It can't be healthy to be physically restricted for so long. Very uncomfortable. Ryanair seats packed this close (for much shorter flights) don't seem to have floor obstruction, and eliminate the pockets and recline features which helps."

Frontier airlines is only one step above because they will give you water. The seats are too tight, not enough leg room. I'm 6'2" and 230 lbs. You buy a ticket for a reasonable amount, but then you get hit with the unreasonable add ons: you want checked bag $35, carry-on baggage $45, you want to sit together $25, and on and on. Let me not forget, I need a boarding pass to get thru security to get to the gate to catch the flight I have paid for, $5. People at the gate wouldn't tell passengers anything, and responded to questions with "I don't know." When one woman complained about the lack of communication, a Frontier worker told her dismissively that she could call the manager. We kept learning about the flight delays by watching the status board. The front gate workers wouldn't say anything, and most people were too worried about missing the flight to run and get something to eat."

At no point during the purchase of this flight was I explicitly and directly warned that Frontier charges, at minimum, $30 (each way) to CARRY-ON luggage that must be placed in the overhead compartment. I do not know the cost to check baggage, but I assume it is comparable to the carry-on fee. In my ethically driven opinion, the round rip price of the trip should have been advertised at $238 to account for the baggage fees. I WAS MISLED. To make matters worse, because I was blissfully unaware of Frontier's carry-on policy and failed to read the fine print while checking in online, I WAS CHARGED $60 AT THE GATE to carry on my roller board. When I asked the gate agent to explain the charge, she - without eye contact and with a mean tone - condescendingly attributed the charge to my stupidity. She proceeded to spit this attitude to the DOZENS OF OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO WERE UNAWARE OF CHARGE AND HAD TO PAY AT THE GATE. In sum, I will end up paying an additional $90 in carry-on baggage fees. I will not fly Frontier again."

Cons: "I did not like the fact that I was not informed from the very beginning that it was an "ala cart flight" If I had known that I had to pay for my first luggage and pay for my seat (if I wanted a choice of a window seat) I would have gone with another more expensive airline. I have a couple cards that allow free baggage and other perks, but I was not using those, to save my sister money since she was paying for the flight.It started at $278 round trip and ended costing me $390. I first chose a seat ($12.) near the back, and after a very stiff ride up to DC, I decided to upgrade to the $50. seat in the front for the ride back, to Orlando, thinking it had to be better and recline. It did not. Needless to say, I will not fly Frontier again."

Cons: "From start to end there will little things I feel could have been better. When I booked the flight it was easy and did not see that ALL luggage requires payment. Since most other carriers allow the 1 carry ons free... It would have been nice to know in advance and not be surprised at the counter by the juvenile ticket agent that although we are grateful she made us aware of the price for each piece of luggage/ carryons she also could have been more pleasant about it. Later as we were boarding a flight attendant cuts me off and is very audible about how there is no more room for carry ons. How did they run out of space? Isn't there overhead space for each seat and only 1 carry on per person? There is an extra surchage for carry ons ($10 more) to have them stowed with all the other suitcases in the end. On this flight another of the flight attendants is asking outloud how to pair her cell phone to the wifi... Really?? It just seems unprofessional, unprepared, disorganized. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Is it too much to expect a higher level of service? As for the seats... They seemed new and I just wished they were a little more comfortable. A small adjustment like adding a foot rest on the back of the seat in front would be helful... Similar to the ones on charter buses the kind that can be adjusted folded up to stow beneath the seat and lowered when in use. (Just hoping the airline sees this and considers it.)"

Cons: "So who knew that cash was such a problem. Imagine your flight leaves at 6:00 am and you are running around being forced to purchase pre - paid debit cards to cover my luggage. Nightmare."

Cons: "They don't even go around and offer you a water. They're pretty much nazis about the personal item rule. If my personal item fits underneath the seat, it should be fine. I would quit my first day if I had to be a worker at Frontier dealing with angry customers like I witnessed."

Cons: "I arrived 43 minutes ahead of flight instead of 45, and was not allowed to check my bag, so I missed the flight. I have not seen my family in a year and the lady at the counter showed no remorse and offered no apologies. She kept an angry face asked me to please move out of the way for other customers. I will NEVER fly frontier again."

Cons: "Leg room was very less and couldn't sit comfortably.. But for 2 hours flight.. It's manageable"

Cons: "It was not clear in the purchase of ticket that Frontier charges for carry-on bags. even at that, the cost of a carry on at $30, $40, or $60 is ridiculous!!!! they will lose many customers with that policy! check bags should not even cost that much let alone a small bag with a few items in it. I was very upset and wont fly them again"

Pros: "I like that frontier's transportation system is itemized. It is a great system for the light traveler (folks traveling with basically no baggage or carry-ons). It is better for short flights so one doesn't have to spend money on refreshments either."

Cons: "Spirit Airlines has so many hidden fees. You can bring one personal item for free. However, a carry on was an additional $59 per flight. Checking a bag was $62. We also had to pay to reserve a seat. All of the $10 seats were shown as unavailable when we were checking in. This meant only the $18/$28 seats were listed. When we got on the plane the flight was almost empty and we could have sat in any of the $10 seats. You don't even receive complimentary water."

Cons: "You get what you pay for. These were the most uncomfortabe seats I've ever flown on. Basically a piece of plastic with a vinyl cover and essentially no padding. The flight was half empty so after the fasten seatbelt sign went off I moved forward to the comfortable seats (there were 10 of them and only 3 were occupied). The stewardess told me I had to go back and sit on the ballpark seats. My back is killing me as a result. Also, at check in there was a long line. I asked an attendant if I could use the boarding pass machine, which for some reason are located in the front of the baggage check line. He told me I had to wait in line even if I wasn't checking a bag. After a half an hour I was concerned I might miss my flight so I asked a different attendant if I could jut go up and use the boarding pass machine since I wasn't checking bags and he told me no problem. This was at the BWI airport. I'm not sure if Spirit boarding pass machines at other airports are so oddly located, since most other airlines have machines located in a place one can can get to without having to wait in the baggage check line even when you're ot checking bags. The stewardess was on the grumpy side - waiting to depart I had closed my eyes and she told me I had to stay awake for her flight safety talk, which would have been fine, but she didn't give the talk for a nother 20 minutes."

There was nowhere to plug into power so my iPhone (a backup for movies) died hours before we landed. Lastly, I was called to help assist a passenger who had fainted (I'm a doctor) and was offered nothing in return for my help. Not even a soda. I didn't offer to help in hopes of "free stuff," but the other airlines I have flown with have offered me a drink, some food, or even $ off my next flight as a thank you for my medical services."

Pros: "The worst airlines and customer service ever. No more sprit after my last bad experience with spirit airlines."

Cons: "Where to start... paid more in bag fees & to get an isle seat for each(4)flights than I did for damn plane ticket! Flights delayed 4hrs another flight in same trip delayed 2 hours. Staff wasn't interactive/friendly I'd say 6/10 were nice. Asked for an isle seat the person helping at counter, said I'd have to pay to upgrade. Seriously- upgrade for isle seat!! I paid to have an isle seat on all 4 flights(I'm a disabled vet who was injured in the line of duty) I need easy access to toilets I'm unable to crawl over people, in turn need idle seat). Paid for isle seat all 4 flights- just to see the flights were super empty, people were sitting where they wanted anyway. Thanks for taking my $ for the seats tho spirit:-|. Staff wasn't that friendly compared to other airlines I've flown on. Not food. No entertainment on flight. Not worth it. If they don't do better business they won't last long I feel. There is potential just needs some work!"

Cons: "Actually the allowance for baggage is too much. I am living in KSA from about 20 years. I have visited many countries in Europe. Including Middle East and Asia. I have never given such a huge amount for baggage. It makes very senseless to charge for baggages because if your are providing us the service for transportation, than baggages is must with anyone travelling, obviously. In other words, because its a must for anyone travelling, you are simply taking advantage. Anyhow the over all service was quite impressive and its been one of my best lifetime travel. Hope to travel again from your airline and see any changes in the baggageing allowances. Thankyou soo much. Have a nice day."

When you add on a $55.00 charge to carry on a small suitcase it makes the Spirit Tickets expensive especially considering the fact that most other airlines do not charge a carry on fee at all. This unecessary carry on charge for a bag is why I will not fly with Spirit Airline again because you are not really saving any money at all compared to most other airlines which hopefully Spirit will realize one day."

Cons: "The fact that the plane was delayed by five hours with very little apologies and concern from the Spirit staff… Not to mention not even an offer of perhaps a food voucher or some kind of incentive in the name of apology .... This messed up my entire next day since instead of arriving at 9:30 PM we didn't land until almost 3 AM ... And that happens very very often with Spirit airline so they will not be seeing me anymore ..."

Cons: "Be careful of the extra fees for carryon bags. You're allowed one personal item, and theres a fee for anything else. Also fees for everything in the plane. We boarded late but still landed early, but then problems with their other flights meant that we couldn't get a gate so we deplaned half an hour late."

Pros: "The only plus about my flight was the fact that it was inexpensive in relation to the amount of time I had to purchase a flight. Compared to other carriers this price point was at least half of what everyone else had available. It was a little out of the way for me to drive from WDC to BWI to catch the flight as well."
Cons: "The service from not only customer service on the phone, but the service of all the staff members EXCEPT one lovely lady at FLL who made sure I was in the correct line out of many lines. Everyone was snarky and rude and seemed like the last thing they wanted to do was be there dealing with customers. The plane was clean but the bench seating and back rests for the chairs were very uncomfortable. I am about 5' 10" and I felt very constrained in the seats, as well as the fact that I could not recline. I guess I could have bought the 'big comfy seats' at the front of the plane but then I also could have bought the flight from the other airlines -- thats where Spirit gets you, you think you are paying for a cheaper flight but in reality you are voiding yourself of what would be normal amenities on any other airline. Finally on the day we were coming back home, the flight was delayed about 3 hours. I got the initial email from Spirit but when I checked google flights and flight tracker there was no delay. Finally decided to call Spirit customer service only to be connected with someone who was out of the country most likely was somewhere in eastern Europe according to her accent. I had a very hard time understanding her and it seemed like instead of answering my questions she would read whatever was the expected prompted answer -- which left me without an answer. She also could not confirm that the flight was delayed even though the multiple delay emails were continuing to come in. Luckily after every email we kept on calling because some of the delays were listed to depart around 1.50AM (mind you this is a flight that was supposed to leave at 8.30PM the evening before). I understand that the airlines cannot do anything about weather, but I believe the delays could have been handled better. If I were younger and I didnt have so many responsibilities, I would most likely fly Spirit again."

Cons: "I was asked to change my seat from 29A to 3E to accommodate a family who wanted to sit together. I was told that 3E was a better seat. 3E turned out to be a nightmare. A row away was a child who screamed for 75% of the flight but that wasn't the worst part. 3E was situated between a man and a woman who must have weighed 450 pounds! I literally had half of a seat for the entire flight. I really feel that I should be reimbursed because of how uncomfortable I was forced to fly for the entire flight. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."

Cons: "Travel updates were late coming. 4 hours before my flight boarding time, I received an email notice that my flight would be delayed by 9 minutes. While I am sitting in the airport at the gate, at the new boarding time, there was no announcement- and no gate agent, but rather an email saying that the flight was delayed 2 hours. They had no advance notice that the flight would be delayed until the flight was supposed to be boarding. There was no gate agent to handle the difficulties that presented to travelers. I'll pay more or take a bus over taking Spirit."

Cons: "You should watch the video of the employee harassing a customer on the flight we took. Flight was scheduled to depart at 5:19 we left at 8:45. Apparently the plane was too hot. No communication. Rude employees. No apology. Just horrible. Never again. I only booked this because I had to get to an important event that night at 8 and there were no other flights. Missed the event and had horrible service. Just perfect. First and last timeI will ever fly spirit."

I'll never fly Spirit again"
