United Airlines has waived its change and cancellation fees on flights from Washington to Simpson Bay. Confirm policy on booking site.

Travel restrictions between Saint Martin and Sint Maarten will be implemented. Persons with medical or professional reasons will be allowed to cross the borders. Authorized travelers will only be allowed to pass with plane ticket, negative PCR test issued within 120 hours and sworn statement.
All travelers must complete an Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS) Form 72 hours before travel. Children must have the online health form filled out by their parents.
All travelers arriving from a country that is categorized as high or moderate risk must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test obtained from a naso-pharyngeal swab issued within 120 hours before departure of the last direct flight to St. Maarten. Other tests such as antibody tests and tests performed outside of the 120 hours period will not be accepted. Children under the age of 10 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test result.
Travelers residing in and traveling from a low-risk country are exempted from the mandatory rt-PCR or antigen test.
On January 11, Sint Maarten will be implementing a mandatory COVID-19 insurance for all travelers visiting Sint Maarten with the exception of residents, transit passengers, flight crews and French nationals. For travelers originating from a high-risk country, 14 consecutive days of self-monitoring of body temperature and possible flu like symptoms is mandatory. The travelers in this category will receive during 14 days an automated daily email alert providing a link for submitting the required information online. If you are remaining for a shorter term on the island, you will have to submit the information for the time you are on the island.
Transit passengers are also subject to complete an online health declaration and have a negative test for COVID-19 issued within the last 120 hours before departure.

We spent an hour with Suitcase Services, but could not find out who took my husband’s suitcase. (No ID inside theirs) I recommend that you board lower numbered rows first so that people in the back rows don’t take the front bins!"

It seemed that the gate crew was not budging. If my parents hadn’t had 2 seats together my daughter would have had to sit with a stranger. That’s not acceptable."

Our bags did make it to Sioux Falls, so my wife didn't have her prenatal vitamins, , we had no clean clothes and we were forced to spend the night in Atlanta. The saddest part of yet another terrible experience with Delta was that they offered us a "discounted" room at a terrible Howard Johnson for $72. I looked online and the same hotel was $65 to book on Kayak. So basically Delta was trying to scam us after they screwed us. Thanks Delta! Instead we paid $200+ to stay at an airport hotel. Every time I fly Delta I regret it, yet occasionally I get forced to take their awful airline to get somewhere I need to go. It never fails to add another bad Delta experience to my long list of failings from this SAD!!! airline."

If a passenger is taller than average, and the flight is more than 60 minutes, provide comfortable seating at no extra charge. If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

Yes it would have been. 1 meal each way would more than make up the difference. All in all the flight worked out to be at a better time with friendlier service and an equal or better value for my total cost. The flights were on time. Nicely done."

The airport looks like it is being renovated, which is fine, but there is no tape/cones to mark off the renovated areas from the walkways. You literally walk through dirt and construction sites. I didn't even think that was legal in the US?! Anyway, maybe it will be worth it once the renovations are complete, especially if AA is going to use it as a hub."

A lot of people missed connections."

Cons: "We arrived at 3pm for our 545pm flight. Once we arrived at the gate, we were notified the aircraft would be coming in late (10-15) due to tech issues. The AA staff was aware the plane had mech issues and decided to board us anyways. After 45 mins of sitting and waiting around in our seats, the pilot preceded to ask us to deplane the aircraft. AA gave us a lousy food voucher and booked us on the next available flight to Miami which wasn't until 1145pm! AA crew/staff handled the situation in a disappointing manner. The AA crew at the gate spoke in a condescending manner as if were young kids! I was appalled by that! I will not be flying AA anytime soon!"

Cons: "My original flight was cancelled so my group was bumped to an earlier flight. However, when we arrived at th airport at 6 am, it turned out that the rest of my group was on that flight but that my ticket was cancelled entirely, and I couldn't get on the new plane because it was oversold-- meaning that, without any warning, I was stranded at the airport in DC at 6 am with not only single available flight that would get me to Indiana in time for work. I ended up having to take a train to Baltimore to catch a flight from there to NC to connect to Indiana- but then that flight was delayed for 2 hours so I missed my connecting flight. By the time I finally arrived in Indiana I was 6 hours late to work. There was no reimbursement for the additional travel expenses, and not even an apology. Then flying back the next day, they cancelled our flight again and we had to rent a van and drive back overnight from Indiana (15 hours drive). I have never had such a miserable travel experience with any other airline."

When approaching the front desk about the flight, a desk person had the nerve to ask me if I realized that it snowed. He is quite lucky that I didn't file a complaint. I have no words to describe my disgust for his poorly timed sarcasm, especially because this flight was en route to a family emergency."
Cons: "After getting to Chicago on another airline due to weather we come to find out that the flight from Chicago is cancelled due to "maintenance" . We talked to 7 different United representatives at 3 airports and none of them were any help to us. We were offered hotel accommodations in Miami to find out the hotel they booked us does not accept United vouchers leaving us to pay for it ourselves. Another expense added to the trip unexpected. Every phone call to United leads to 4+ hours of wait time followed by "go online and figure it out". I still need a refund for both flights and these bogus hotel vouchers ."
