Pros: "Heathrow terminal 5 is modern, clean and efficient. The BA 787 Dreamliner is the best and the crew were professional all throughout the journey."
Cons: "I would avoid flying into Newark internationally if I have the option next time. Besides from the obvious that the airport is outdated, it is totally understaffed. There were about a staff of four directing international travelers at Passport Control and they were impolite which created a stressful and unwelcoming experience. The second issue I experienced was at baggage claim. Due to some issue I didn’t personally experienced, non-US passport holders experienced major delays entering the country. This resulted in hundreds of luggage that were left unclaimed from a previous flight still on the carousel. There was only two airport staff at this area so people from the BA flight had to take these the bags off the carousel inorder to make space for our flights bags to fit. It’s was totally chaotic and easily avoidable if there were more airport staff managing this area. This international airport is a national embarrassment, and if you’re a foreign traveler, I would highly discourage you from flying into Newark."

Entertainment system was slow and non-responsive and my husband's had to be reset to even start to work. One bag left behind, but delivered promptly within days of arrival"

Thankfully I didn't need any of my medication. This was absolutely the WORST flight home!"

At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Arriving passengers who are in transit are ushered down an escalator where they are pushed into one another because of a security line backup...yet the escalator just keeps bringing more people. This happened to us in Nairobi in the early morning of July 26 and again in the early morning of August 2. I feared someone would be trampled or hurt."

No rattling sounds during landing and take off so the Plane must have also been new. Kudos!!"

Cons: "First of all, my flight had no option to plug my cellphone, there was no TV screen and no WiFi.. they served some loaf of bread cut in half with some spices inside and called it dinner! But the most disappointing thing is the fact is that they LOST BOTH OF MY LUGGAGE BAGS, and the most they could offer me is $50 compensation (my belongings worth thousands of dollars) And even this I would have to claim from my “home country” which is completely unreasonable as my home country isn’t the one lost my luggage, the airlines had! We were on the tarmac in Abidjan for almost an hour, before we were informed that there were some technical issues. We were told it was a minor issue, until clearly it was a large enough issue as a lot of time passed by. Air stopped flowing so many passengers including myself became uncomfortably hot and dehydrated. The flight attendants only came down the aisle once with water, which was not considerate enough given that the air stopped flowing. Finally close to two hours later passengers we instructed to disembark without mention of how long the wait would be. We re-boarded the flight after about an hour and only then were informed that there was not enough power to fly the plane. Once we took off the air flow returned and the flight overall was pleasant. While safety of course is a priority, especially for a long overnight flight, communication could have been much better."

Cons: "Somewhat dirty ( and smelly ) aircraft even though they are a very new fleet. Some seats had strange patches and stains. Overall cabin experience can be improved in terms of hygiene and food quality ( food was mediocre or slightly worse). Seat ahead reclines almost too much into personal space in the new 787 aircraft. The LCD displays don't pivot so it's virtually impossible to view the entertainment when the occupant of the seat in front fully reclines ( a somewhat irritating issue on a long flight )"

Cons: "At Addis airport, they announced first that the trip got cancelled and postponed for another 7 hours. Then while lining up to change my ticket, I overheard people saying that the boarding is starting in 30 minutes and we have to rush to the gate. Then the gate number changed 3 times and the boarding time got delayed few times as well. It was a 5 stars chaos that trip!"

Cons: "The food was horrible. My TV didn't work and although I asked for it to be reset several times, the crew kept forgetting. The flight was supposed to be 9 hours, but we left late and it was 11+ hours. I understand things happen, but the crew gave no explanation for the delay or elongated flight. Last, but not least, when we landed in Newark we waited 2 hours for our luggage to come out. We landed at 9:50pm and didn't receive our baggage until 11:50pm. My friend and I were not even the last to get our bags. Overall this was the worst flight experience I've ever had."

Food on my return flight was terrible I am a vegetarian was mostly served warmed up frozen vegetable which were terrible 3. Return trip set next to noisy people, had coffee spilled on my dress, was upset and did not enjoy return trip .Grateful for flight attendants who moved me to another seat."

Cons: "- terrible food and no snacks provided - Crew was inattentive and did not monitor passengers e.g. standing when seatbelt light is on - bathrooms were rarely cleaned on 18 hour flight - poor air circulation"
