Pros:Was a good experience to pick up the car...very friendly people but.....car have a several scratches all around at the inspectionCons:Big problem went drop off the car ...now they charging me for the whole rear bumper knowing the scratches was there before....scam....sugestión take a video or picture in the first inspection ....Reviewed Dec 3 2020

Not goodPros:The car was clean and in good shapeCons:-It took 2 hours with the ''representative in training'' to have the car -The ''insurance'' available on KAYAK is not good in Nicaragua, you have to take one from the renting company, so don't pay 70$ for nothing. Worked out great, but...Pros:Car was fine, a little beat up but that actually made me less nervous driving around. The guy at the desk did me a solid by helping out when my reservation came through wrong.Cons:I showed up solo to Nicaragua only to find out my rental (which through kayak had been listed as "at airport" was, in fact, in the center of Managua and therefore not accessible. Luckily the gentleman at Alamo had pity on me and honored my reservation. But I was almost in a very tough spot. Once the reservation glitch was overcome, I had no issues whatsoever. The service was excellent and everyone clearly wanted todo the most they could to ensure I had a great experience. I would use Alamo again without hesitation here in Nica!Reviewed Feb 21 2017

Cons:They didn't have the car I requested. They offered a different car but it was to big for me to store it. I called back the next day to check and sss told they couldn't help me.Reviewed Jan 1 2017

Didn't have the car I reservedCons:I got to Managua and went to the Alamo counter in the airport. I had reserved an automatic car and all they had were manuals. I had to cancel my reservation and spend the next hour and a half trying to find an automatic car. I won't use Kayak again for an international rental car.Reviewed Dec 26 2016

Didn't have car originally reaervedPros:Friendliness, professional attitude of employees, car rented did the job and saved some moneyCons:I had reserved a large SUV but they only had pickup trucks. I ended up getting a small crossover SUV which was cramped with the luggage we had.Reviewed Jul 26 2016

Nicaraguan prices quoted online are not accurate.Pros:Ease at airport, ease of return, quality car.Cons:Long check in time initially, prices are double to quintuple what quoted on site. They force you to buy insurance in country, which is somewhat understandable, but unlike in the states it can make the price quoted by Kayak go up by 500%. We got a rental on Kayak for $90. When we got there it was $541 for full coverage. Luckily we were able to do something for $227, but that is still more than double the quoted price. Need a system to incorporate insurance add ons in advance or ppl will continue to feel duped as we did.Reviewed Jul 21 2016
