Location was near some really great restaurants and walking distance to the harbor. This hotel is in need of an upgrade- wallpaper was peeling off the wall or large chunks were missing, the beds were lumpy and so squeaky, carpet was stained, and the walls were paper thin.
Large room: easy check in. Staff was friendly Not much in the at of amenities and older furniture but in expensive for a one night stay

Within walking distance of Annapolis waterfront and restaurants. Also had trolley service to downtown and Navy stadium. Rooms neat and comfortable. Older HVAC and bathroom fixtures but worked well. Bed was comfortable Pillows were hard to get use to. One too hard and one too soft. Only real negative was valet parking. Parked my car under a tree in uncovered lot for two (2) days and it had sap, leaves, twigs, etc. when brought out. For $20 per day, I expected better.

Location and cleanliness Bed was borderline too soft/saggy. Musty smell when walking in and AC was off on a very hot day so had to leave the room for a while until it cooled.

This hotel is beautiful and is so close to downtown Annapolis, the State House and many other historic attractions. The Navy Stadium is also a short walk away! I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in just over a year and would happily recommend it to others!

Nice hotel, great location for Annapolis. You could walk from the hotel to downtown in under 10 minutes. Great hotel shuttle that would drop you off anywhere you want in downtown.
Very clean, modern amenities, friendly staff. The only hiccup was that construction closed the main entrance and parking garage entrance. It was easy to find the curbside valet parking, but the sign pointing straight for self-park was woefully inadequate (one needed to drive about a half-mile farther and then make two right-hand turns (only the second of which had a sign) to go in the back entrance. Similarly, it was not at all clear where the entrance was -- there was only the name of the hotel restaurant over it and inside. These problems will disappear in a few months when construction wraps up, but in the meantime the last problem I expected was being able to enter the hotel.

We liked the valet service and car parking. It was a short stay and we appreciated having food avialable at the morning buffet and at the bar. We left the area after our grandson received an award at Commencement, but needed an extra hour before checking out. Thanks
Location The $200 per night price seemed too expensive for the room. We had a view of a back alley and the room, although very clean, was only average. The hotel was hosting a dog convention and I did not like the thought of sleeping in a bed that probably had been used for dogs to sleep in. Also there was a doging barking on Sunday morning. Not fun to wake up to.
When I called the front desk at 1am because the occupants of the room next door were loud, it was taken care of immediately. Loved the complimentary WA post and NY Times newspapers in lobby. Couldn't change us to a King Bed room vs. Double beds. Seemed like we were less-well treated because of booking on a 3rd party site. Could hear loud, raucous and profane conversation and laughter, woke me and my family up 3 times during the night, finally at 1am I called downstairs. Seemed to be blood spatter/stain on one of the sheets. Complimentary coffee urn in lobby was empty the one morning I noticed it - at 10am. ?! Was quite a distance from the main shopping and restaurant area, though we did have a nice meal at an Asian restaurant nearby.

I always feel comfortable at Aloft locations. All service staff including housekeeping were very friendly and responsive to a "Hello". In general the hotel and room seemed very clean and smelled fine. The bed was very comfortable and the linens bath etc were all in good order But due to some abuse by guests the room was looking a little worn. ie:Scratches in wall finish & headboard.
The staff was amazing, Tamera, Jamal, Gladys, Cliff and last but certainly not least Niya! They were so amazing I'd take a trip from Phoenix to Baltimore JUST to see them. They truly are the definition of hospitality My only concern was it took almost 2wks to receive my incidentals deposit back. But that's attributed to processing times through financial institutions.
Nothing This establishment over the duration of four days charged my credit card four times after I had prepaid for the room, not including an incidental charge, totaling $360.00. The staff was not able to explain the charges, and could not get a manager on the phone to speak with me. According to the staff, every time I asked to speak with a manager, there wasn't a manager on duty. The staff would call the manager in my company and be directed to a voice mail, and leave a message. They do have a pool, but the hours of operation are slim. The pool is not open until 4pm when a lifeguard is on duty. That brings me to another issue, I caught the lifeguard smoking marijuana just outside the back door to the hotel (which is right by the pool). I'm not normally against people smoking marijuana, however, I do have an issue with it when peoples lives could be in jeopardy. Because of this experience, I will never stay at another W hotel.
Decor & layout was unique along with a great snack area, billiards table & social areas in lobby area,. Friendly staff. Though clean lots of scuff marks on walls, stains around shower door hinges , and similar"long term" maintenance things is starting to give a run down appearance to an otherwise unique and fun place to stay.

Great room, good wifi The reservation through kayak was messed up. Took a couple hours for hotel manager to get it squared away and check us in. This was very frustrating after a long day of travel. Will really question using this reservation approach in the future.

Staff was friendly and allowed for a late check out. Shower had good pressure. This hotel is very dated. AC is extremely loud so if ours turned off we could hear units running from other rooms. Soap was not very soapy! Carpet is old and the room in general is in need of new furniture and paint. No air circulating in the bathroom. Indoor pool is very small. If there was more than my family in the pool it would have been crowded. Also the water seemed clean but it was cloudy, which is usually an indication of chemical imbalance. It was easy to get into town but I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff was wonderful. The breakfast better than most. They were re-carpeting. I have issues with the smell of the glue. They tried to accommodate me. At one point they even moved my room to another area. It was frustrating as I had booked there for the pool and workout room and could not access them for a number of days because of the glue. I would not have booked there if Had realized they were carpeting.
Breakfast was amazing and our $15 (1pp) coupons covered breakfast. The inside resturant was really clean and i loved the fire place. The wings i ordered in room service were good but i have to order them crispy so they weren't super soft and their potatoe wedges are huge and were not what I was use too at all. On the executive floor they have a snack room for anyone on floor 7. The snacks were great: muffins chips candy sodas tea coffee hot cocoa water pretzels etc. the room was 255 for just one night on that level....the room was clean but small, the hotel is eco friendly. There are a few other restaurants within 5min of the hotel if you don't like the indoor or attached one. The room rate is over priced thats my only complaint. The hotel is over priced, and the walk from the garage to the hotel can be a bit much if you have alot of bags.

Clean, close to airport. Staff was friendly, helpful. Wi-Fi was almost non-existent and our reservation was not in the hotel's system upon arrival, causing us to have to wait an additional 15-30 minutes. I'm not sure whether this was an issue with hotel's booking system or not.
The hotel was way beyond my expectations. It was the perfect place for our wedding anniversary. The customer service was great as well. The room was gorgeous with a contemporary look. Great location-close to the mall and every restaurant you could think of, but in a quieter location further down the road. Could be a bit noisy in the morning. Walls are thin and you could hear what was going on in other rooms/hallway.
The location of the hotel with the courtesey shuttle with a five mile radius is excellent. The location is less than a mile from Arundel Mills shopping, Maryland Live Casino and less than five miles to BWI airport. The hotel check-out time is 11am, which isn't a problem, however they expect you out around 1030am. My wife and I were awake waiting for a weather report and knocks on the door from housekeeping began the barrage of knocks at the door, phone calls, asking when we're checking out. Respecting hotel policy wasn't an issue, but most hotels start the call thirty minutes after check-out not before. If we dined in the hotel for breakfast the outcome would've been the same because the restaurant is small and the staff is small for the amount of guest. They provided a breakfast coupon for the restaurant, but decided to pass because of the wait, so the staff was rude with the two following housekeeping members and the front desk attendant calling after that.
We really liked our room and also the amenities within the room, the closeness to the mall, the complimentary shuttle and also the free parking. Very early check-out time.

Scott at front desk was very professional and helpful. I was looking for a place near the airport for one night and with shuttle service to and from airport and not too expensive. The shuttle service also drove me to dinner and picked me up after.

Clientele....there was an aggressive panhandler roaming the grounds. Whether they were or not, some guests seemed to be living there semi-permanently. Although the rooms have been redone, the motel seems dated. The clock was difficult to figure out as to how to set it. There seemed to be people roaming around all evening.

I liked that my check in went very smoothly and the room was pretty decent. We go no warning that maintenance was being down on the streets and we were going to be out of water and there was absolutely no parking. We had to park next door at the Hilton. When we called the front desk the lady told me I could park on the grass or something but there was no guarantee that my car wouldn't be towed because she didn't work for the Hilton.
The front desk clerk was exceptional. The first room I had had a small odor and what appeared to be mold. I went to the front desk and they moved me to a new room and he gave me a snack to boot

Comfortable, clean hotel with professional and helpful staff. Room keys got demagnetized twice during our two-night stay, bit of an inconvenience when carrying luggage and whatnot upstairs, then having to go back down. Staff were helpful and apologetic in fixing the problem.

The hotel was convenient to the activities I partook in. This was not a 3.5 star hotel. The bathroom was not up to par. The shower had cracks in the tile and had mildew spots in the bottom corners

Modern look of the room. Water in the room. The holes in my shower curtain. The stains on my comforter and wash cloths. Being charged twice. Calling the hotel twice to get a refund and still not getting it. Having to call the corporate office to be refunded. Not being comped in any form or fashion.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Pool did not open until 3:00pm. (Traveling with kids and main reason for choosing hotel was pool.) Cafe with coffee bar was closed. Very limited convenience items available for purchase. No gift shop. Room had very bright flashing green light all night.

Shuttle was prompt in pickup and drop off at airport. Day driver during weekdays of shuttle was very friendly and could teach front desk how to treat guests. Saw little hospitality from front desk staff. No welcome to Hampton Inn or thank you upon check out. It takes so little to show you appreciate your guests.

Very noisy from the jet traffic. Heat pump 3' from the bed went on every three minutes and ran for just one. Making a third party reservation deleted the free parking for our trip. Manager forced us to move the car to long term parking off site even after offering to pay extra....unbending. Totally unsatisfactory. I cannot recommend Hampton, they have lost me and my company personnel as a customer.

I was picked up at the airport by shuttle late at night and taken to the Hampton where I was promptly checked in with no problems. My room was quiet and restful. I was alone but felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was complementary and good. Everything was just what I needed. Nothing.

The Hampton Inn Baltimore-Washington gave us a free shuttle to the airport and back when we returned. This was very convenient and appreciated. No complaints.

The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable Our sink repeatedly expelled gas and grime from the drain. We were in Room 318 of the Maryland Inn. It is a triangle, with the bathroom at the top point, and busy streets on two of the sides of the main room. The street noise was very loud from both sides which made it hard to relax or sleep. It took us 45 minutes to get our car from valet parking the first morning we were there.
privacy...historic...very well run & would stay with them again what brings my rating down is their restaurant, "The Treat of Paris". it is a poor, poor restaurant that represents itself as historic/romantic fine dining when the food was half rate at best. service tried, but it seemed their was a lack of management to oversee it (basic service, issues with food temps, food coming out cold). it's areal Shane that such an established institution as this restaurant has been badly managed to the point of just surviving on its laurels..even the locals tried to warm me that these days it's a tourist trap
Loved the location! Our door was old and kept sticking so we had to shoulder the thing open. Confusing were to park or the whole valet system. No breakfast at the marlyland inn.
They provided cookies, hot cider and hot chocolate in the lobby for guests the first night I stayed, which was a nice surprise. The location was incredible to walk around the city and to the Naval Academy. The closest parking was several blocks away, and with old brick sidewalks I couldn't roll my suitcase. I had to carry it. Plus, there weren't the cookies and cider the second night. I'm not sure why and I was kind of looking forward to them after the first night. The room and bathroom were very tiny, too much of the room was taken up by furniture. I had to turn sideways to get past the bed and dresser to get to the bathroom. Also, the pillows weren't comfortable at all, they were too soft.
Best location! Young girl who checked us in was rude. She did not make us feel welcomed at all. I felt like I was on an assembly line when she went through her check-in speech. We stayed at the Maryland Inn. It has potential but when we walked in our room it felt like a dorm room. Just a bed and a dresser TV, and window AC unit. There was no artwork on the walls. Also, they must be renovating because when we got back for the evening the entire lobby and second floor smelled of oil based paint
My wife and I started at the Robert Johnson House for a weekend trip to Annapolis. The hotel was well located, and pretty nice. Overall, I liked the hotel. If I'm ever going to stay overnight in Annapolis again, I'll likely stay in one of the Historic Inns again. The cable didn't get a good signal, though. After a day of walking, I wanted to relax and watch TV, but the picture and sound kept cutting out. Luckily I can watch Netflix in my phone.

breakfast was good; staff was friendly and accommodating; the location is excellent, with a very nice plaza/center of restaurants and shops within walking distance; we didn't make it to downtown Annapolis, but it is obviously also very close. the biggest negative was the dampness of the room - we stayed in July and it was really hot outside, and while the AC in our room made it cool, it also made it really damp, which ruined the stay for my wife. when we first got there, I had booked a room with two queens, and they initially put us in a one bed queen - not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience that was fixed immediately. also, one of the days they failed to clean our room and provide new towels, so I had to walk to the front desk to ask for more. the exercise room is very small: two or three treadmill/ellipticals, one exercise bike, and dumbbells up to 35 or 40 with little space to operate (no bench or racks of any kind); no pool
Close to everything you may need. Staff was very nice. Loved that we were given the oppurtunity to checkin early. The pool and hot tub was so nice. The welcome water was wonderful. Overall.a very nice.place to call home base for our adventures. Just a personal preference, the bed was too soft for me.
The gym and pool facilities were lovely. There were so many great machines in the workout room and it was open 24/7. I also really appreciated the sundry room! The sheets were pretty scratchy and the bathroom light made a loud buzzing sound. One of the lamps kept flickering. Also, I would have liked the option of later check-out.

Expected 2 doubles and a rollout. Received a king and rollout with stains on mattress and no linens. So we went to the front desk and told them we needed linens, and would be back after about an hour at the local watering hole. We came back, went to the room, and couldn't get back in the room with our keys. Back down to the front desk and told them of our situation. They couldn't reprogram our keys because their machine was broken. So the night staff attempted to open up our door with a master key, only to find out the door lock was broken. So after an hour of realizing they couldn't get us back into our room (around 2:30 am), they finally gave us another room and one complimentary toothbrush for three people.

The staff was very professional and pleasant. We also thought the hotel restaurant and lobby was very nice. We did not like that we didn't get a room with a fridge. We were only there a night but they should ask if we need one when we sign in. The restaurant breakfast was ridiculously expensive for the quality. It should be much less.

The room was a nice size. No one should be booked in the room I stayed in. The air conditioner compressor interrupted my sleep throughout the night. Also, I wondered why I was placed in a room clearly designed for persons with disabilities. When I made the reservations I was simply told it was a King. It didn't appear (based on the peep-hole location in the door, and "door bell" that there were other rooms like that nearby.

The night desk would have been more welcoming if they were actually genuine in greetings and didn't show displeasure in answering questions beyond their informational spiel. I had already traveled most of the day and really didn't appreciate the unpleasantness at such a nice hotel.

It was ok and we only stayed one night so it was manageable. Hotel was full and we were on the first floor. There seemed to be a lot of hallway and outside noise. Bathroom wasn't super clean either.

Spacious room Lousy routers and internet access
Not a single thing other than the location in connection to the airport. First and foremost, we checked in relatively early in the evening, but since we booked online, my wife and I got a handicap room. If that was not enough, this room has some flying bugs (they looked like moths) that were flying throughout. After asking to be moved to another room, I was told that no accommodations could be made. The bed was fair from comfortable and the bathtub completely backed up while showering. Not to mentioned, there were a number of what appeared to be pubic hairs that lined the bathroom floor. When I complained the next morning (we tried to leave but everything around us was booked in other hotels), we were met with very little interest in fixing the situation. From start to finish, it was the worse experience. I have ZERO desire to stay at this facility EVER again.

This hotel had the worst service I've ever had. The overbooked a co-workers room, and charged a room to the incorrect credit card. The front desk service was impatient and impolite. We will not be staying at this hotel again.
Staff to include shuttle driver very nice and food was taste good. Room while appears renovated appeared, rushed cleaning ie lamp shades crooked, bed covers should be tucked possibly with chocolate and name of cleaning person; gives a personal touch. Possily use a fresh "clean scent" cleaning product; Just the small things seemed over looked but all in all good value for price.
