Pros: NOt recommended at all. Cars available with Avis are below grade. needs maintenance and not supposed to be rented.
Cons: don't get Avis rental in Jordan. they will tell you always the reservation price is not right and charge you more.

Pros: renting Avis in Amman Jordan is very disappointing. The car should not be allowed to be rented. I had no choice but to keep it since there is no Avis support in Jordan. Avis should pull their name from the country.
Cons: Make sure the car and reservation are made with a reputable company that honor their reservation. Avis did not honour my reservation price and the cars available are old and maintained properly. You are better off renting from a local car rental company than Avis.

Cons: Far too long a wait for the car. Only one member of desk staff at an airport?! Car had lots of scratches and bumps and, because the car was black and it was the evening, it was very hard to see all of the damage. The car itself drove well but externally it was a mess.

Cons: Car status wasn’t compatible with a car rental, had scratches and dents all over the body. The car was shaky and needed alignment. The price was outrageous. I feel that I was ripped off

Pros: Quick rental and drop off. The Car worked fine.
Cons: The trunk of the car was wet from the rain so we had to have our bags on the back seats. Luckily we were only 2 in the car. Also I had some leftover fries under my seat.

Poor and service.
Pros: Upgraded car
Cons: The avis brance we arrived to was closed although they said it was open on the AVIS website. We took a car the day later at 8 at intercontinental amman avis branch and they only arrived at 9 although the website said they open at 8. We had a full on day for petra and wadi rum and got our car only at 9:30.

Cons: I didn't like Having to come back to Avis two days later for a different car because the original car they rented to me had expired registration. Luckily I was still in Amman but if I had been traveling in Jordan, as most people do, this would have been a huge problem. it still felt irresponsible and was inconvenient for me regardless.

They charged my credit card 3 times!!!!
Cons: Paid in full online, when I got there they told me their system was down & asked me to pay again. & then when I returned the car they charged my card for the third time!!!

Disaster-
Pros: All everyone needs to know is that Avis is really BAD at Amman Airport.
Cons: I do not recommend renting from Avis. The list of issues with Avis is very long. They have some few employees who try their best but this is a poorly managed operation and it is shameful that a reputed brand like Avis does not act to prevent their reputation to be dragged under that much. Dirty cars....I am not talking about dust but insupportable dirt. Their cars are grossly dented and ill maintained. Do not count on anyone to pick up any number listed anywhere in the documentation provided. They are liars as well with no sense of customer service. They had to change my car 4 times and the last one was just best of the worst...They gave cars with a 1/4 or less gas tank. I filled up and they cair car broke down. They did neither refund me nor filled up the gas tank of the replacement vehicle sthat they provided 5 hours after I luckily met their representative at the hotel I was staying to complain about the lack of responsiveness. I really do not even feel like going into more details. All everyone needs to know is that Avis is really BAD at Amman Airport.
