Pros:They upgraded us to a BMW 5 series which was an ideal car for the week, lots of trunk space, navigation, comfortable.
Cons:No real complaints, pretty simple and straightforward rental.

Everything’s ok except that the car we took was a bit dirty.

Cons:I cheated on Hertz to give Avis a try. Boy was that a mistake. At one point they were equally competitive in quality, service, pricing and reputation. That sure has changed. Someone at Hertz at the executive level has created a superior culture and Avis’s went DOWNHILL badly. With Avis, the grass isn’t greener on this side of the fence.

Cons:We rented a Chrysler Pacifica for Two weeks in Hawaii. The air conditioner worked intermittently which was very inconvenient when traveling with a family of six.

Pros:Pickup and drop off was easy.
Cons:Although the SUV had only 35k miles, it had no Bluetooth (hands-free), so USB for charging and no backup camera. eg. The SUV was a throwback to the 80s or something. Worse, although I paid for insurance, they tried to charge extra insurance over 200% the cost of the vehicle. When I called Avis about the error, they said that because I did not book through their website, there is nothing they can do.

Cons:The line at pick-up was a bit long. I think the computers weren't working, but it took way longer than it should have. The care was pretty scratched up when we got it, but the inside was very comfortable and clean.
