Garden, location rooms and cafeteria are not clean enogh
Proximity to main sightseeing places. Ability to enjoy walk around and along La Ramblas. Close to grocery bazaar (good option for delicious low-cost dinner: selection of cheese + several slices of prosciutto + freshly backed bread in nearby bakery + bottle of good table wine). Shopping lover will appreciate boutiques along La Ramblas and L'Corte Ingles Department Store across from Catalunya Sq. Offered breakfast was not bad (quality and value). Laptops in rooms and free internet access. Proximity to LaRamblas has negative side: too noisy late into night. Rooms are bit small for family with 2 kids. Beds have metal cases and make horrible noise when anyone turns around at night. In the bathroom we had just a shower with no proper tub; thus when taking shower water would be all around the floor. Bathrooms lack hooks, thus one ends up leaving all the change clother on the toilet seat.
the location and the free wi-fi computers in the rooms were super.
The location was ideal for access to the metro (within 50m), restaurants, bars and tourists sites. None, everything as expected.
Very cclean room No kettle in room. No hot water for shower on the last day.
The room was comfortable, clean and not what I imagined having read previous reviews, the staff on reception were very helpful and the location was perfect. The residents bar did not appear to be staffed at any point during our stay and the service during breakfast was less than helpful, however these are minor points and would not stop me recommending the hotel.
Modern, relaxed hotel, easy access to the Ramblas and other tourist attractions.
The location of the hotel was second to none. There were signs for a Bar but couldn't find one.
The location was fantastic.
We liked the convience of the location and the style of the hotel. We had two single beds instead of a double.Corridors were a bit too dark.
The location was excellent, the service was great. The room was large enough to live in comfortably for our two week stay, and well designed. The restaurants were both excellent, and the rooftop pool deck was a perfect place to practice yoga in the morning with a gorgeous city view.
Excellent service and very kind and helpful staff. Tasty styling, nice beds and quite room. The room was a bit dark for people of our age.
The view on top at the pool is magnificent. Central location, very good reception who know the way in Barcelona, the bars, the restaurants, where to go, how to go ... The pool was not heated, so too cold to swim.
Very much, is very good located If we would come by car, no posibility to parc in the hotel
Location Many things
The room was comfortable and restful
the location oh hotel and its staff on my opinion design of the hotel is too dark
The close proximity to the city centre and the amazing view from the rooftop deck.
The location and the cleanliness of the hotel
Central location The front rooms are very noisy because of intensive traffic and poor isolation. Limited choice at breakfast buffet.
clean, attractive, roomy room, everything worked
Close to everything.
perfect location to explore central Barcelona, but very quiet for a good nights rest the bar was shut for a few weeks!
Location great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were eall comfortable. Shower good. Instead of a double bed there were 2 singles put together, this was fine, except they were on wheels and kept on rolling across the room. Great if you want to rearrange the room though.
Excellent location on a very quiet street, excellent beds, warm room
Very central but quiet
The room was clean with adequate space for 2 and the bathroom clean and comfortable with a tab. The hotel was on a quiet street but very close to the Ramblas as well. Close to the aerobus stop at placa Catalunya. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice but kind of expensive (16,2 euros)
Quiet, near Ramla, very good service at reception desk.
great location but bathroom is old, emitting sewer smell
Beds are particularly comfortable and reception staff very helpful. Would be improved by provision of a small bar in the seating area on the ground floor, adjacent to the Reception area.
location, quality of rooms
Excellent location, very friendly staff, my room was clean and relatively spacious The price is relatively high for the age and furniture of this hotel
It's location was ideal, two blocks from the Barri Gothic, the Plaza de Catalunya, and the Ramblas. Despite its being in the city, it was very quiet in our room.
Location was walking distance to many sites and central to Barcelona. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Staff helpful. Checkin and out were a breeze. Everyone was professional and warm. No complaints.
The hotel is very central to the historic quarter. The walking tour of the old city provided free of charge on the Sunday morning was excellent.
The hotel was located in the heart of the city; steps away from the Cathedral; easy walking distance to La Rambla, transportation, Palau Musica, Picasso museum. Staff was attentive, informative, and gave great recommendations for restaurants and how to get around. The hotel provided a free Sunday AM walking tour of the Gothic Quarter! a
Perfect location, right in the centre of old town and a few steps from cathedral. Great price for lovely 4 star hotel. large rooms, very comfortable and modern, quiet street though right in centre, fantastic breakfast, lovely rooftop patio and pool. All around amazing hotel to stay at as vacationer or for business. nothing at all.
The location is very close to the centre of the city. The access to the hotel by car is not so easy (cannot be done by GPS navigation). The way to the parking garage is a little bit laborious. The breakfast was not included in the room rate. WLAN was not working, only LAN with the cable.
The hotel is located within walking distance (or a brief cab ride) of nearly everything you could desire in Barcelona. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff is courteous and very helpful. Above all, the hotel is delightfully quiet--easy to to get a good night's rest.
Hotel is a great value for what it offers. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Rooms had smooth, clean wooden floors and are equipped with modern ammenities. The hotel is located in the Barri Gotic which is a central area to many shopping centers, reastaurants, and focal tourist points. The staff was extremely helpful. It is a short walk to Las Ramblas from the hotel. The hotel is practically next to the Catedral. (a must see). The hotel bed are big however they are not too comfortable. I experienced a lot of tossing and turning each night. Hotel also states that they offer sound proof rooms but the rooms are not completely sound proof. We were still able to hear the people in the room next to us laughing and talking, as well as the noises from the front street.
Staff was very kind and helpful, Location was excellent
Location, room decor, room size. Expensive breakfast :)
excellent location, very central but quite.
Position and convenience is excellent The Bar area was a bit clinical and not conducive as a relaxation area
If you're looking for a central location as your jumping off point for Barcelona adventures, Barcelona Catedral is an excellent choice. Newly renovated, the hotel is very well appointed and has all the amenities you'd expect from an inner-city hotel. Roofdeck infinity pool is gorgeous and the setting is really fun, basically overlooking rooftops and balconies. Staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to provide service. Food in the restaurant (we only had breakfast) was good, local and fresh. Located right next to the Catedral. Not much to dislike, really. A bit hard to find if you don't know where it is. Also, pigeons tend to fly up to the pool and bathe in it a bit, but the staff was on top of cleaning the edges of the pool so it really isn't much of an issue. I had hoped the hotel bar / lounge area, which was really cool, would have a bit of nightlife, but it was dead most of the time.
Unique, beautiful building with fabulous rooms and interior design. The staff was exceptionally charming and helpful. They provided us with great restaurant recommendations as well. The only issue is that the hotel is situated next to a school with noisy children playing outside parts of the day. This may affect some people (like me) who must work in the rooms. But the children's voices and laughter were infinitely more pleasant than hearing a TV set :)
interior design central location but unsafe at night
Good, albeit expensive menu. Our waiter on Thursday evening was very good as was the bar man. Dark room, enclosed balcony, very expensive room service, huge TV but only CNN and Eurosport in English - plenty of spanish and German programs. Waiter who poured the dregs of the wine stright into my glass
Front desk, restaurant & bar staff all very friendly & helpful. Beautiful lunch in the restaurant. Wonderful location - would recommend highly.
The location was ideal for a weekend trip.
Very stylish and romantic hotel - ideal for our wedding anniversary
The location, the atmosphere inside and out,the staff, the size of room, the rain shower,
Helpfull and pleasant staff, good restaurant and a fine location for Old city and Los Ramblos
Location, decoration Some Neri Rooms are very small, heating didn't work in one of them. When we moved to a junior suite, everything was different.
Fantastic room, great service, excellent location!
Everything was excellent.
convenient location -about ten minutes walk from Gothic quarter and very close to huge park and interesting sites and metro station which we used. Breakfast was good. Quieter than many hotels would be as regards street noise as there was no passing traffic noise at all. English spoken so no difficulties with language. No
Excellent location (Center, near Merto station) , Hospitality,Value for money
able to walk to la ramblas, marina, and tourist bus stops. assorted breakfast. Tea and coffee making facilities would of been useful
The hotel is located next to the Arc De Triomf, at the edge of "Ribera" neighbourhood. The l1 "Arc De Triomf" metro station is 1 min away on foot, and "Barri Gottica" and "Raval" neighbourhoods are within a 15 min walk. So, location wise it is great. As far as the hotel itself goes, the room (4th floor) was spacey (with huge bathroom/WC) but with almost no balcony.... In contrary to the outside of the hotel (it could use a serious make-over) the rooms are pretty and clean. Other than that the alley that it is located in, is rather quiet and thus, easy to sleep (during the night or day, even). The staff speaks very good English (being in Spain considered) and are willing to help. I guess one could say I was greatly pleased with choosing it. The fact that the safe was a lock-in,lock-out one, for which you should rent the lock from the reception didn't help feeling that your important stuff were safe when you were away. But maybe I am just being too paranoid about it.
bathroom was great. separate shower tub with heat lamp. location is mediocre close to Metro, but far walk from city life (Las Ramblas) Room given was ground floor windows opening to sidewalk. Loud.
Quite clean hotel. At the checkout their credit card machine was supposedly broken and I had to pay cash. Lucky for me I had still some cash left. The alternative, which was unacceptable due to shortness of time, was to rush to a nearby ATM to get the money. Their payment routines for incidents like this need to be improved. If I didn´t have the cash, I would have left the hotel without paying and just leaving my name and telephone No so that they coould contact me when they get the equipment to work.
Attention of personnel Simply its accessibility from the main roads
Facilities and the location. Near metro and bustation.
Location, walking distance to all attraction, very good breakfast It's a dump!
tasteful accommodations, wonderful bathroom layout, very cozy. the staff was fantastic, and the overall attention to detail was the perfect touch The room was very small and very poorly lit. Extra lights (especially in the closet area would be a helpful touch) Also we traveled as a couple, only room for one suitcase in the closet, which is okay, but extra luggage holder would have been astronomically beneficial
A great location, very comfortable. Loved the bathroom. Incredible latte. Breakfast is too expensive. There should be umbrellas on pool deck to provide more shade.
Excellent: location, decoration, cleanliness, room size, comfortable beds, heating, quietness No internet wi-fi...this facility was advertised and was a key decision point for choosing this hotel. Its absence was a major nuisance. Also, some of the staff were surly and unhelpful.
the cleaning of the room and comfort and location.
The hotel is ideally situated in the midst of the pedestrian zone of the Old City. The decor is sleek with some oriental touches (zen court yard), and the rooms are of good size.
Fantastic location for exploring Barcelona city on foot, great rooftop pool to come back & relax to, great bathroom facilities. Relaxed & laid back feel, free wifi. We enjoy natural light so room decor a bit dark but would not stop us from recommending this hotel.
Location excellent. Room clean, comfortable and very modern if you like that kind of style. Staff friendly and helpful.
i book a tax from hotel to airport, this price is 3 times than i from airport to hotel, I do not konw why
The room was very nice. The hotel was within walking distance of most signts we wanted to see and the staff was very helpful.
Very modern, new and well-appointed hotel. Great room near the terrace, had tea-making facilities, free wi-fi. Nothing negative to say.
Location, Styling, Staff, Accommodation Awful Wireless Connectivity Quite Small Room
the quiet and off course the central site nothing
great location, walking distance from many sights.
They were great customer service-wise. Helped me store my bags while I was in an interview and provided me access to the spa after I had technically checked out. Overall, a great experience.
Close to sights, literally across from the cathedral. A short walk to Las Ramblas. Dated Decor. The room while spacious and comfortable has not been updated since the 80s (the the bathroom was renovated). It appears some rooms are renovated while others have yet to get the treatment.
Very sentral location and very good service.
Great location in the old city Next to a church where the bells chimed every hour -- through the night! Room was old and tired with peeling paint and smell
The view of the Cathedral was magnificent. A great location. Easy access to cultural and social activities as well as shopping.
WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE OF EVERYTHING IN THE GOTHIC QUARTER. A NICE, CLEAN HOTEL WITH A SIDE WALK CAFE' FACING THE CATHEDRAL. WHILE WE WERE THERE A FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL TOOK PLACE RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR. THE HOTEL WAS QUIET DESPITE BEING IN THE HEART OF ACTIVITY. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY.
Comfy room with lots of room for two single travelers. Double sink vanity and two wardrobe closets made it easy for two friend to travel together. So close to Las Ramblas, the Metro, parks and the port...perfect!
The location is excellent -- close enough to the subway lines and main thoroughfares (for taxis); excellent access to the Catedral and Ramblas; directly next to excellent shopping; and in a safe/open part of the barrio.Within the hotel, it was nice they had free cable internet in each room. The bedroom linens were old/dingy. The bathroom needed better lighting.
Great location, friendly staff and very helpful
excellent staff, facilities, and location room small; sound insulation not great
Location was excellent, in a quiet street but with in easy walking distance of the city centre, cafes etc The room/bathroom was larger than expected and there was good storage.
Location was central to rambla and on/off bus. Room(superior double) was spacious, clean and comfortable,
I used to stay at this hotel often 10 years ago. I like it then, not any more. I was hungry when I arrived and tried to get something to eat. Room service was not available. I went to the bar where they wanted to charge me 9 euros for a cheese and ham sandwich which the barmaid told me was not worth this money. I went out to get something to eat. My room was tiny. As was my bed.
location, rooms design
The swimming pool and rooftop terrace was fabulous and the room was spacious and comfortable with small balcony - Hotel situated in a reasonably quiet area but about 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas and 5 mins to the nearest metro - so was nice to return to of an evening after a hectic day for some peace and tranquility - and forget the breakfast in the hotel too expensive - there are a number of small bars that do breakfast for a lot cheaper. The room booked was a double, however we were given a twin with the beds pushed together which was not ideal and for a four star hotel should not have to pay for the internet - this should be provided free.
Firendly and efficient staff, comfortable room
Breakfast was excellent and dining room staff were most pleasant and willing to extend to assist in any way. The front desk staff were indifferent to assisting in suggesting tours or just forwarding information. This is a business hotel and one got an impression that was their main focus.
Location, quality of services
K&K Picasso is a well situated boutique hotel which has an excellent staff trained to meet the needs of its guests. The breakfast was outstanding in both the quality and variety of food. The staff provides great advice on dining and touring options. The room we had was small and faced an interior courtyard. It was functional, but did not meet our expectations. Corridor noise and noise from a courtyard sitting area was annoying.
