Excellent location. Friendly professional staff. Recently refurbished excellent rooms with good amenities inc Bulgari Restaurant on the lower level is a bit bland but good quality. Ok for breakfast but Go out for dinner
The location was great but the room was very small, very dirty, with a small windoow just facing another building.....The staff very rude... Didn't care about the guest, and the breakfast was for a 2 star hotel, not 5 star hotel
Excellent breakfast selection of food and drink. Very comfortable bed and good quality bedlinen. Public areas very well furnished with a lot of interesting artwork and flower arrangements. Well located for metro, bus route, sightseeing. Rooms do not have a facility to make a hot drink for yourself
nothing in particular...thought reception and particularly breakfast dining areas were below par for a 5 star g.l hotel.....expected breakfast eggs etc to be cooked fresh not left on buffet...no a la carte offered see above............refused to give free internet in room despite info on booking conditions
The roof bar was fantastic
Staff were friendly & efficient.Excellent location.Breakfast buffet was extensive & varied.
The staff at the hotel are fantastic - from the minute you step out of a cab to when you check out you feel pampered and cared for. The concierge was excellent in their food recommendations. The only drawback was that everything has a cost. The coffee in your room is considered mini-bar and is a charge.
The hotel is in an excellent location for travelers who need access to both the port and the airport. The surrounding streets offer dining for every taste.
Great staff from the bellman all the way to staff at the front desk, staff who cleans the room to the bar and staff at breakfast. no complaints everything at the hotel is excellent
The hotel was under renovation, lots of noise and disturbence during the day.
The rooms were very nice and the location was great. Check-in did not go smoothly at all. Our rooms were not ready for several hours and we did not get into our rooms until speaking with the manager.
Located in the heart of luxury shopping area, one block from Gaudi's two residential masterpieces on Passeig de Gracia (Le Pedrera and Casa Battalo are a one minute walk away, one to the left, one to the right). There is a 24-hr 'pharmacy' w/in 1/2 a block, and the on-off tourist busses stop adjacent to Le Pedrera (red line). Every person who worked at this hotel is absolutely wonderful. (Happily held our luggage until a room was ready, gave us access to their beautiful breakfast/lounge ((we declined breakfast as we wanted to start touring a sap but it was truly a 4-star spread, like a Ritz Carlton or similar class.) ROOFTOP BAR IS AMAZING - try a Martin Miller Gin Tonic (one of 8 different gin tonics offered), 360 degree view with glass "roof" will stun you), tapas list was great. ROOM was modern, blow your mind luxurious. Our 20' balcony faced the street (rm 901 has floor to ceiling glass with a huge balcony and electric blinds... The wall above our king size bed was also glass, all the way to the ceiling creating a 6x8' glass wall 'headboard' which also created a wall of glass above the tub in the bath room, letting the spectacular view and light flood into the entire bathroom, with a electric shade if you wanted to lower it....). I seldom photograph a room, but I tried this time because it was so spectacular. Great robes, slippers, nespresso machine, huge glass shower. We absolutely loved it - would love to move in forever. I hated to have to leave and hope to go back for a longer stay. Note - this area is totally safe 24 hours a day and this would be a GREAT place for a woman travelling alone - this is a GREAT location. Entire staff, EVERY person, went out of their way to delight you.
excellent location, very clean room, nice decoration and wonderful jacuzzi on the roof terrace... the staff was very friendly. the entrance...
Perfect location to be close to the center and away of the noise. Great recepicist (from Argantine) to get his recoomendation for your paln in Barcelona. 50m from the metro station. No lobby. No Shampoo!!!. It was hard to find its building when the taxi deliver us from airport.
The location was perfect, and the staff was courteous and helpful. My room was very strangely designed (ironically). More importantly, the showers were not cleaned well - the glass walls were covered in a thick layer of soap scum - not pretty! Overall, it's listed as a 5 star hotel, and it's FAR from that. At best, it's a very good 3.5 star hotel, or a middle of the road 4 star.
Location and quality of accommodation facilities
the location was great the toilet and the washbasins were very small
The Hotel was very lovely and well decorated, clean and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel bar offered free champagne, water, tea and coffee which was a wonderful and unexpected surprise. The staff assisted us in room upgrades, places to eat and what to see around the city. Wifi was included in every room as well as personal AC that worked extremely well. The room also had black out curtains and while being very centrally located ( a few blocks from the Gaudi House and a 2 minute walk to La Rambla) was also very quiet. I would deffinitely stay here again. Great place for couples or young friends looking to have a good time while still relaxing and getting some rest! The bathroom of the rooms where small and not separate from the rest of the room, and the doors to the toilet and shower were opaque glass that was see through when wet. Other than that no complaints.
Location, close proximity to lots of sights and shopping/restaraunts. Room was incredibly tiny. Not good for more than one person. Definitely not a 5 star hotel as it was advertised.
The staff was spending and welcoming. The room was BIG for European standard. The bed was comfortable and shower was very very nice. The location could not have been better - We absolutely loved that !!! Bath towels were poor quality. A bit noisy if you are on 2nd floor facing street. There was a hint of mildew smell in our room
This hotel was a great surprise in terms of quality, price, location, and service. It's located on a great street for shopping and dining, and only blocks away from the airport bus shuttle. John at reception was very kind and friendly, circled lots of things on the map of Barcelona for me to see, and recommended some restaurants. The free glass of sparkling wine was a nice touch as well. The room was fantastic, with a beautiful soaking tub and comfortable bed, and a balcony that opened up onto Passeig de Gracia. It should be noted that this room is great for solo travelers or anyone who doesn't mind an open concept room. The shower and toilet have frosted glass doors, but the tub is open. It may not be private enough for some people, but I thought it was fine as I was solo. The mini bar wasn't too expensive either, which can be hit or miss at many hotels, and had s great selection of snacks/beverages. Overall this was a fantastic stay in Barcelona and the hotel made it that much better. The only negative to the hotel is completely out of their hands, but there is a new retail store being constructed below, so after 8 or 9 am, it can be a little loud. It looks like it's just starting, so it may go on for quite some time. This wouldn't stop me from stating again by any means, but if you party all night and want to sleep in, it could be tough.
Nice location. Room was quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Breakfast was nothing special. Find something down the street to eat. Sinks look good but are impractical. Gym is not open. Worn carpet.
Excellent location, and facilites. Very close to metro station (<5mins walk). Breakfast somewhat expensive. Very small gourmet restaurant which was excellent, but imited menu. Room rather small, with only one armchair.
View and balcony right on Gracia. Amazing!
building and inerior and location
Excellent service, beautiful decoration interior and exterior, great location
Excellent stay - very helpful staff. It is a shame that their bar, dining room and breakfast charges are so high when compared to comparable non-hotel establishments (e.g. glass of wine is 11 Euros at the hotel vs 2 Euro's) that we really didn't use the bar facilities. We would have (and can afford to) but at the end of the day, we felt it to be a rip-off and did not do so. A real shame - we would have been happy to pay a premium but one that was so totally out of keeping with the rest of the city.
Rooms and location is great, underground parking just in front of the hotel and metro is just down the road. Good views from quiet rooms and one full non-smoking floor. Breakfast in the basement disapointing. The room is great for other uses, but starting the day in a dark vault after being woken by the sun is a turnoff. Better to grab breakfast close by or across the street.
The hotel's design is exciting; it is a historical piece of art. The location is perfect. We liked everything
The Staff was excellent- polite, attentive and knowledgable. The Hotel is well located and very well maintained. We were very pleased with our choice and everything about the Hotel. Although the rooms are very prety to look at, they are not as functional as they should be, particularly at that price... there are no shelves or drawers to unpack and place clothing ( except the very narrow hangging closet next to each side of the bed). Also, there is no shelf or rack in the shower to place any toiletries- a large soap dish at the least would be suffice. It is a classic example where Form does NOT follow Function...but, it looks good!!
Great breakfast , for the 25 euro you get a really great food. Very good location, beautiful interior design. The rooftop with pool and bar was closed for the night.
In the heart of the city, and walking distance to many shoppings. Capable staff who can really be help in English. Not really.
Staff helpfulness and attitude room on busy road did not have enough noise insulation-consequently noisy
The bed was like a rock, and pillows very poor for sleeping
Very helpfull staff,
This hotel is far from to be 5 star. The bed in the double room is very narrow and is about 1.40 m ! Thus, two adults sleeping on it risk to fall down at night. The other furniture of the room, which needs to be repaired would be more suitable for a 3 star hotel room. The personnel at the desk with poor english could explain to us how to connect to the hotel WiFi and offered us free bussiness room: two old time snail speed desktops with a queque beside the door. There is also a problem to take a cup of coffee till noon - the only suggestion is to take breakfast twice.
The location is very good, the staff are excellent, roof terrace is excellent, staff plesant and friendly, the food there is very good but limited, same menu every day. We ate lunch there each each day of our stay, and fish of the day for 5 days was always the same. The bed in our room was far too hard. By the end of our stay we both had aching backs.
Friendly, helpfu staffl and in a good location. Loved the roof top bar where the food we had was excellent We didn't dislike anything
Wondeful staff, very helpful. Made phenomenal restaurant recommendations and were all around very helpful. The hotel is a very nice hotel where they do a great job keeping clean and very nice. Location is great, walking distance to everything but in a more upscale area so out of the chaos of La Rambla.
the roof bar small rooms - misleading 5 star status
Very helpful staff; rooftop bar excellent; excellent location; beds great Rooftop could use a little more seating with tables; maybe a few more waitstaff
The terrace. Room service food.
Location, hotel staff
Location Room decor
This hotel is very functional for touring Barcelona. The location could not have been better. Extremely good for shopping and very close to good places to eat. Also very close to public transport. The room was a good size. We did not have a double bed but the beds were comfortable, the bedding very clean. The bathroom with the double basins was spacious and clean. We ate breakfast once. The variety was good and fresh. We had a room at the back facing a very large courtyard so it was very quiet. We had been told that hotels in Barcelona facing the streets can be noisy at night. The lobby furniture could be revamped but apart from this , would recommend this hotel
nothing the "romantic" room had two separate beds instead of a king-size one, one bathrobe per two, we had to ask for shampoo; they left one sweet per two; walls are so thin, we were hearing about all indigestion problems of our nextdoors. St.V.'s was absolutely ruined.
Friendly Staff, room size and hotel location all excellent
Nice hotel, good breakfast selection. They do not have a changing facility after check out (which is very useful if your flight is at a later time)
The extortionate jump in room price on last night of our stay!!! Quality of breakfast was poor. Staff spoke very poor/no English.
Rooms are well equiped, beds comfortable, clean hotel in the middle of one of the best shopping areas in Barcelona, convenient to several metro lines. The desk staff was less friendly than in many other hotels but competent.
A great location within steps to the main walking section of the city air conditioning was poor. We went with another couple and they had the same issue...the air conditioning did not work properly
good value, helpful staff Air condtitioning weak on 9th floor
Breakfast was excellent
nice spacious rooms, view was ok, airco was fine, beds were good and the nespresso in the hallway very nice! And the location is perfect in the centre of the nicer part of Barcelona just 5 min walk from casa Batlo and the subway, only 10 min walk to plaza Catalunya.
Very good location. It's just a few blocks away from the centre. The room is modern and they even have a balcony. The hotel staff aren't helpful at all. very very very bad attitude.
Service and location
Central location in a very important street with an easy access to everything especially the tube station. Free internet. Nice chocolate every night. Although we were given an internal view of the back side of the hotel, Our first night was horrible. The hotel's corridoor was very noisy. You can hear everything going on outside. The toilet is separated from the shower room however, the toilet's door cant be closed completely. Very old TV with only few channels. No coffee/tea in the room. Looks more like 4 star hotel.
location atmosphere in fashion
Great boutique hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff at prime location.
Good location, good room, great bathroom, helpful staff, excellent breakfast and top quality food especially restaurant Moo Bar got a bit too full with nightclub at night
Location. Friendly staff Modern room Sqeaky bed! The lighting system was a little erratic, sometimes did not work, but promptly attended to by staff.
Good sized rooms, clean, comfortable and very quite considering city location. No hot drink making facilities available in rooms
The Spa , the bar staff . The food is excellent. The Moon Restaurant
style, location and good facilities time to time noise becuse of wooden floor.
Excellent breakfast. Nice decor. Excellent personnel most of all the PR hotel manager. Nice closets and ample space. Toilet and shower in different rooms and no sink on the toilet side. Too dark halls.
- nice, competent and helpfull staff - nice design/good comfort of the rooms - nice general areas in the hotel (lounge/restaurant/pool&terrace) nothing
Location, Comfort, close to La Rambla and all the excitement. Very clean and with all the amenities a traveller may require. Also, very quiet I would have preferred a better view from my room, also, internet access in the room woud have been very handy
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. It was a good base for a city break. The free mini-bar was a nice touch. It felt like a business hotel and had little character or charm- definitely not romantic. The reception staff were polite, but could not help with tourist-related questions (i.e. is there a ticket for all the Guadi sights?) The breakfast, whilst sufficient, could have had more variety.
Very tasty breakfast offering a good choice. Nice "business-type" hotel providing easy and comfortable stay at a high level of service. Fully complies with the standard expected from 4-star European hotel. Fitness facilities and swimming pool were in the state of repair.
Location, comfort Pool and fitness centre was not available
staff at reception very arrogant and unhelpful. Gave me wrong information on two occasions.
Fabulous hotel.Very clean and comfortable.Extra facilities like drinks and towels etc are excellent. whole party of 10 had a brilliant time. No complaints really only that breakfast seemed expensive.
Really nice and agreable decoration Very nice and agreeable hotel with a relaxing decoration. The location is also convenient, 2 min walking from Paseo de gracia and the closest metro stop.
Room, breakfast, rooftop, design Noise from visitors and cleaning staff in hallway.
super location!!!!!! good value for money. very pleased free mimi bar)
Nice place Good service
Small, clean, comfortable rooms. Good location, ten minutes from major sites. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
reasonably close to metro station and shopping areas. Hotel staffs quite helpful and free Wifi available. Breakfast open late during Sunday and food of restaurant just fair as Risotto is too hard.
Very reasonable price, friendly staff, excellent location. We loved the neighborhood of L'Eixample. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We canceled our reservation at H10 Universitat because your prices were more competitive and rooms were far better, even though your hotel is slightly farther from Placa Catalunya.
the food in its restaurant was excellent. The central air conditioner wasn't on, so the room was quite warm (outside was about 20C). We had to open the window during the night and the street was quite noisy.
Great location, double rooms on the top floor have a large balcony.. Free wireless internet was useless during the entire 4 day stay for all three individuals I knew were staying at the hotel. We attributed this to the fact that a large school group was staying at the hotel, but even when they were at dinner, the wireless still failed consistently. Without internet accessibility, I would not recommend this hotel to a business traveller. Also, double rooms were only available for 2 guests, even if 1 guest requests/pays the same price.
The hotel was grate, but it was renovated long time ago, so it looked antiquated for the 5 star hotel. However, the location, staff and room size were perfect.
Good location, modern, very clean, lovely air conditioned room, helpful friendly staff Told breakfast was served until 11am, but made feel unwelcome & rushed by one waiting staff when we arrived at 10.45am
The decor was modern and the hotel was always clean. The location was good if you don't mind walking a bit or using the metro. The staff were rude, unhelpful and often got things wrong, including trying to charge us for services we had not ordered or received. They left us waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes to check-in and then let other people who'd just walked through the door check-in straight away whilst we were still left waiting. The aircon is only switched on when 3 guests complain they're too hot, otherwise you only get heating in your room. The safe can only be used if you pay an expensive rental price on the key per night. The cleaners were inconsistant, often leaving us without drinking glasses or shower gel. Outside noise was not a problem, but noise from with inside the hotel was very loud and constant from both staff and other guests.
