The hotel had a very homey atmosphere, the manager, Oliver Sun was extremely helpful and although the front desk and dining room+ staff spoke little english, they certainly tried their best to be helpful. Cupboards needed for hanging clothes, the restaurant's dining menu was very limited and for breakfast, tea was always lukewarm and the cofee very very poor.
Cheap rooms Beds too hard, difficult to communicate with staff in english
Cleaning ladies work veryb well. The breakfast was horrible. Staff at the receptopn don't speak good English. The hotel can not be found easily.
we were there for the olympics and we were happyy with the hotel the staff in restaurant were really nice even though they could not speak english oliver was really helpful did not like that only 2 people spoke english but you probably havo to expect that too
Cheap to stay there and it included breakfast which is traditional Chinese breakfast, but I could make a some sort western breakfast like they always had bolied eggs and bread and butter or jam. They didn't speak english but I was just about ok with my Chinese so I got through. Chinese language is important when you stay outside of the central or westernised hotels. But I chose to stay there because it was cheap.
hotel close to the subway station; I had a computer in my room; tasty breakfast (only Chinese); cheap hotel charged my credit card directly after making reservation (2 months before my arrival) !!!!!!; thin walls and sports stadium behind the building - earplugs recommended; sewer stench in the bathroom; staff speaks only basic English
It was very nice. Quiet, clean and a bargain. Close to subway. Good restaurant and very nice staff.
staff trying to help even if they didn't speak so good english.I recomand the rezervation for 1 day tour to the great wall and around.
I like the kind service of hotel staff. It is located inside the building blog and was hidden by the front building. So whenever I moved around by taxi, it was complicated to find the hotel.
spacious and clean room, near station, good breakfast, value for money At reception one girl not friendly at all, good at her job but smile would be nice
The location was a little hard to find if you didn't know the area. The hotel is located in an alley of a section of the hutongs. Taxi drivers can't drop you at the front door because of the narrow alleys. Had to walk 2 blocks w/lugguage to the (Fr) door.
30 minute walk to Dongzimen station for Airport Express Train Stinky, cold room, hard bed, no bottled water or toilet paper
Common room was quite social. Plenty of local guests. Staff were happy to chat too. I know it is a backpackers, but the price didn't reflect well compared to its competitors in relation to quality, cleanliness, and food was expensive.
The staff were generally friendly and helpful. It was quiet. No free towels for private rooms!!! Private bathroom was ugly and hot water wasn't hot. Room was damp. No bathmat. Decor in room was very basic - could be more beautiful. The corridors were dark and ugly as black walls with posters of dark corridors peeling off the walls, nice fake flowers! Location was quite far from the tourist centre.
