Overview

Within a mile of the University of California campus, Berkeley, California, mixes college energy with Bay Area flavor, and the modern Aiden by Best Western Berkeley brings a stylish edge to the East Bay. Floor-to-ceiling windows, pillow-top beds, and a rooftop terrace with views of San Francisco and the Berkeley Hills set the tone. Dining and shopping sit minutes away, from the celebrated kitchens of the Gourmet Ghetto along Shattuck Avenue to the eclectic mix of eateries and shops on Telegraph Avenue. Borrow a hotel bike to explore the city or ride out to the Berkeley Marina, and the North Berkeley BART station is a short walk for a car-free trip into San Francisco. Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory sits a few miles up the hill, and the campus, the marina, and the bay shoreline all reward an unhurried day. Borrow a yoga mat for the rooftop terrace, then settle into a sleek, walkable base in the East Bay.
