Pros (+) Perfect location for where I need to go. Easy access. Staff always takes care of me (especially Esther). Restaurant and bar conveniently attached to hotel, good food.
Cons (-) Cleanliness of room.

Pros (+) The facility was very nice and the room was comfortable.
Cons (-) Upfront, transparent pricing! When I read what the rate was and then the caveat “plus applicable taxes and fees,” there was no indication of what the amount would be or how it was calculated. I was completely astonished when “the fees were $42.00. The room ended up costing more than other rooms I could’ve reserved if I had known a more accurate online price.

Pros (+) Very quiet. Been a long time that I've been in a motel this quiet. Large rooms; restaurants close by; easy access to main highways; friendly and helpful staff.
Cons (-) Dated room.

Pros (+) This motel doesn’t look great from the outside, but the rooms are spacious, comfortable (great beds), and clean. Also very quiet - I didn’t hear anything from outside my entire stay. The hot tub and surrounding garden are a plus. I would definitely stay there again.

Pros (+) The on-site food options were incredible. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire place was very clean. It was walking distance to public transportation and a short trip away from the downtown scene.
Cons (-) The only thing I would say is that you should try to get a room that doesn't face the road where Denny's is...the trolley/tramcar thing runs all night and is loud.

Pros (+) It's a bit like stepping back in time. The Shilo is outdated, but still solid with very good accommodations, decent breakfast, and attractive grounds. Don't set your expectations high, and you won't be disappointed.
Cons (-) Hotel could use a serious update, starting with replacing their box TVs.

Pros (+) The lounge had good food.
Cons (-) The room smelt of bleach there bugs in the bathrooom and we felt a bit like we'd stepped into the 70s.

Pros (+) We loved the quality of our king size mattress and how the housekeeping team did an exceptional job tending to our room. We also loved that we were able to text the hotel 24/7 to ask about places to eat, sightseeing, and other recommendations anytime, anywhere! It's really in a wonderfully located spot that is quiet, calm, and relaxing. What a wonderful staff!
Cons (-) We wish there was a pool on site, but besides that, we couldn't complain!

Pros (+) The Shilo Inn Beaverton is perfectly located, less than a 10 minutes drive from downtown Portland. Moreover, the place is quiet and green, especially if you get lucky enough not to be in the front buildings. The staff is really nice and the price is definitely reasonable, considering the other hotels around Portland, especially in busy August.
Cons (-) The hotel is insanely old : the hallways, the rooms, the restaurant... The sheets and towels are also visibly old and used, which is not exactly pleasant... The smell at the reception will immediately tell you about this issue... The rooms can also be noisy as you will hear your neighbors pretty well. And the breakfast, even if complementary, is really not the best you will have (note: orange juic...
