Pros:UpgradeCons:Unhelpful staff at pick up and drop off Did not help me add my details for using the kevish shesh toll road. And I was unable to do this online or on the phone. Did not include a timer for parking in restricted zones within Jerusalem which meant I was not able to park locally amd pau for parking. Car was dirty. Charged me 22 dollars a day for insurance which was more than kayak indicated when I initially booked the car. The price per day went from 9.5 dollars to 31 dollars! The car was not entirely full of petrol when I picked it up. The bars are a misleading factor as the number of km is the main indicationReviewed Sep 18 2017

Allowed reservations for time when office was closedCons:I made a reservation for a Saturday in jerusalem... Not knowing it was sabbath and everything shuts down. I received a confirmation that said the office hours were Sat 12am - 12am...which made it seem like it was indeed going to be open. Wrong. After making a long distance call I ended up having to go to the airport, spending $100 on a taxi (b/c it was sabbath an no transport was going!) and then rent a car from there. Renting from the airport means extra taxes and fees. Had I known all this I could have just rented a day sooner and saved a lot of headache. So very frustrating. Why would the default be to allow someone to rent when the offices are closed??Reviewed May 22 2018

Dishonest additional chargesCons:Budget in Israel is not the same experience as in the US. We filled up the gas tank 10 miles before returning the car. At return, they charged us extra $15. Overall, what at the moment of reservation was around $65 wound up being almost $150.Reviewed Aug 2 2017

Old car, not so clean, tires already probably damaged.Pros:The staff was friendly and flexible, location good.Cons:Car was older, not so clean when I got it, and from what I could tell the tire already damaged as the pressure light came on after the first or second day of driving but there was no problem withthe tire. In the end they charged me to repair it.Reviewed Jan 28 2018

Cons:When arrived at reservation time, there was no car available. They wanted to drive me to another part of the city which was quite inconvenient. Finally a half hour later, a car came in. There was no real apology, just a "this happens, we can't help it." First time this happened, and must say previous 2 rentals here worked out fine.Reviewed Jun 16 2016
