They didn't have a car available for me within six hours of my reservation time, and kept telling me to come back it was going to be there soon. it never came. i'm not sure they've given me a refund either.Reviewed Oct 14 2025

everything was amazing and flowed smoothly at first, i payed one upfront fee through kayak which was a good price. when i came to pick up the car, the clerk said i need to pay an extra "3rd party liability" insurance (even though i had cc insurance), that came out to an extra 14$ a day, plus tax. but the cherry on top is that hertz took an extra 17% from what i paid to kayak because they didnt want to pay the taxes off the top. im sure this is all in the contract but it is pretty messed up to now be paying more than double what i originally rented the car for. DO NOT RENT A CAR IN ISRAEL THROUGH KAYAK.Reviewed Sep 7 2024
