The vehicle was rented to us with a bad front tire that was dry rotted. Didn’t notice it at the time of delivery. We noticed a chunk of rubber missing from the side of the tire on one of our stops. A blowout at 70 miles per hour would’ve been a horrific tragedy for my family in that 12 passenger van. Being that we had 4 generations traveling in that unsafe vehicle. Budget needs to do better when it comes to the safety of their vehicles.

The company charged me an extra 101$ for gas, but when I rented the same car the next day the tank waa not full. I am still waiting for a refund.

I had a first time experience at this local budget… Obviously a franchise. They wanted to charge me for cleaning the car. They expected it to be exactly as I received it as far as the interior goes or they were going to charge me $450 to clean it. The car had minimaldirt as we only had it for four days. I had taken any scraps of paper and any large crumbs, etc., out of the car before returning it. I ended up driving the car home and vacuuming the interior. The man rudely looked at me and said I still saw a tiny bit of sand., which I can’t imagine is true. So the hassle of returning it would stop me from using this location ever again.

The pickup took nearly two hours, and after waiting, I got to the front of the line. An employee yelled at me and made me go to the back because my fastbreak number was improperly applied to my account. Once I got to the front again, I was told they were out of the kind of car I paid for and given a dirty minivan. When I went to return the car, nobody was anywhere to be found. So I parked the car in the return zone and left for my flight. Then I found out that nearly three days later budget had not reported my car return, and I had to spend another several hours in a labyrinthine nightmare of customer service I finally got someone to agree they would try and find it. My rental was not closed our until 4 days later and now I need to go through the same process to fight improper “late” return charges. You could not design a worse customer service experience, spend the extra money and rent from an agency. Never rent from budget!
