Overall, a good experience. The line up to get our vehicle unfortunately was 1 hour long and they placed a hold on our visa until the vehicle was returned (even though the vehicle was prepaid.). The SUV though was new and clean with no issues.

it was terrible tbh, I wouldn’t recommend nor go there ever again. The lady at the front desk was really rude alongside her manager who wouldn’t come speak to me even after I requested to talk to her. They gave me a really loud car alongside with the breaks Squeaking every now and again, the car was tiny, I asked for an exchange they stated they had no cars to exchange but i went on the website and reserved a car for that same day at the same time I was in the car rental place and they told me that they had none but I was able to reserve one? then I told her that and she went to speak to her manager and her manager said I had to wait for everyone else to pick up their cars and then they would call me, even though it said I could pick it up at 10am, I never received a call. I called customer service to see if they could help and the lady made it worse, she said she was going to refund me for the car and the experience only to turn around and tell me she canceled my resv and I had to turn the car back in or they would call the cops on me when she never even mentioned a cancellation to me, I was out there for vacation and they took a whole day away from me having to resolve the issue, so I told her I’d try to find something and I was unfortunate in finding a car, so I called customer service back and left a call back number nobody ever called, I called again around 5pm was on the phone for an hour and the customer service was able to undo the previous agent’s cancellation. I am waiting on a refund still but I would not recommend

They charged me twice for the same rental car. They took almost 2,000$ from me. Been waiting almost a week for my refund. Definitely not using this company again, very disappointing.

Wrong car assigned at pick up, had to wait in line multiple times to get it correct. After drop off was told car was never returned. Had to deal with that mess

unfortunately our flight was delayed and the initial pickup reservation did not allow us to check in via the application. when we arrived at the counter the personnel were dealing with a large number of passengers who also arrived late. It took over 2 hours to get through the check-out line. I can't understand what was taking the people so long to check out. There were 3 attendants working. We arrived just before 2 am and didn't get through the checkout line until after 4am. Big kudos to the personnel who stayed and worked overtime. Just not a great start to the vacation.

The budget people were polite and efficient. It wasn’t very easy to find the exit from the lot. Poor signage and lighting. The car was a ford escape and I would not want to rent it again. The found selector is poorly designed and not like any other car I’ve driven. Even the start button is not obvious and the usb port was hidden in the back of a well with no lights or symbols. Good service and good price. Car was the negative.

I’ve read mixed reviews about car rentals in Costa Rica with some people having poor experiences, but that wasn’t my experience. I had a little trouble finding the shuttle at the airport and I didn’t like having to put a $3k deposit down to avoid adding 3rd party insurance, but otherwise things went smoothly. My car was clean and solid, and I didn’t have any delays or issues. Would rent again.
