How much is an Audi car rental in Chattanooga?

Was told it would be $446 when I picked up the car. 20 min latter I received a second email saying the price was now $506 with no expiration of the price increase. When I called they couldn’t explain it or change it. Very dishonest

Hertz is the worst!!! I go out of my way to use any other rental company. Was given a car with a half tank (they gave me a hard time when I returned with 3/4 tank because I should have asked them to mark that in my record. Is it my job to do their jobs?). It also had low tire pressure that I had to fill up, the oil change light was on the whole time and the passenger seatbelt would not latch. I had sworn to stop using them and gave them one more shot, avoid Hertz at all costs. The worst company.

Luckily, I had printed my reservation info. The Hertz agent said there was no record of my reservation. The car was mediocre and had a very creaky driver’s side door. There was no one to check the car before leaving the lot, so we just left.

Pros:

The employee, a young fellow, was very helpful to me. He even checked the tire pressure with a gauge when I mentioned that one front tire looked low. It was a little low. The car was perfect for us; it carried some furniture home, and we really enjoyed using Sirius XM to listen to music during our long drive home. Finally, the hybrid got super gas mileage during our drive to Washington, D.C., using only 1.5 tanks of gas.

Cons:

Nothing. Everything was fine.

I, as well as other customers, waited too long for our scheduled vehicles to be ready for pick up. Pick up times didn’t seem to matter. We all waited 30 min or more.

Cons:

The vehicle wasn’t cleaned and didn’t have any gas, so we had to switch to another, but same sized. Long line at check in, had to wait over 30 minutes and then spent another 20 minutes or so with the associate. The associates were great though. Wished the car had an entertainment package for the money. Will rent there again.

Pros:

Helpful staff that didn’t get irritated at having a full house of rental customers within 30 minutes of closing time. Positive attitudes were all around.

Cons:

I was renting a vehicle for a short trip that I did not want to use my primary vehicle during but I was not aware I could not leave my vehicle on the enterprise lot overnight. The staff helped me come up with a solution though and it was greatly appreciated. This fact though should probably be better advertised to your customers.

Cons:

I wish the drop off would have been just as good as the pickup. Also allow others to smell the inside of the car before they sign.

There was a sign informing us that the agent was not available at that time. An 800 number was given but no one answered and the mailbox was full. Paperwork and keys were placed in a Dropbox on the counter but no directions were available.

Pros:

The staff was very friendly and understanding. She was patient with the... complicated customer in line in front of us and very still had a fun conversation with us. Turning the vehicle in was quick and painless.

Cons:

My only complaint was that when we picked up our vehicle there was one person at the counter no one to help her.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
