Cons: That I asked for a compact car and first got a huge sequoia suv. The tank was only 3/4 full and I had to take it to the airport to exchange it.

Pros: The employee who checked me in and out was very nice and helpful.
Cons: I had a hard time getting ahold of them when I tried calling to see whether I could return my car early and save some money. I called multiple times during business hours, but no one answered.

Online Car Rental
Pros: Not one thing
Cons: I recruit for a trucking company. I bring drivers to Arizona from all over the country and rent them cars to get here. I canceled this reservation because you cannot prepay for someone else. Some drivers do not have a major credit card. I called the rental car company and they were no help whatsoever. Unfortunately, this recruit will not be joining my team due to this.

Pros: I have nothing good to say, this was a terrible experience.
Cons: A car rental company exists for the sole purpose of renting cars. Hertz exhibited overwhelming incompetence by accepting my reservation and providing me with a confirmation number, only to inform me that there were no cars available when I arrived for pickup. They are much better at taking reservations than they are at holding reservations and backing them with real live cars. They didn't bother to notify me that they had no cars so I could make alternate plans. I had to take my wife and older parents on a 1+ hour train ride to another car rental company to get a car.

Even though car was reserved, no car was available
Cons: I reserved a car over a week out. When we showed up at the counter, they said no car was available period. When a car was available the next day that was not a subcompact, they made us pay for an upgrade.

Cons: When I went to the Hertz counter at the SLC airport they informed me that I had to pick up my car in Bountiful which is 30 minutes from the airport. Since I had no way to get there, I had to rent a car at the airport for an additional $72. Talk about bait and switch tactics. I will never use Kayak again to book anything.

Pros: Quick service from the Hertz group at North Salt Lake. No line and the rep helped identify if we qualified for any savings/discounts.
Cons: The car had some interior stains; not only is it gross, but was concerned that they may be attributed to my group since the only walk-through prior to leaving was around the exterior.

Pros: it was a car that barely managed to get me from point a to point b.
Cons: i ordered a 4runner "or similar" from the airport; the car i got a nissan rogue, which is not similar at all, from a place 20 miles from the airport and cost another $45 to get there. first of all its a car chassis not a truck like the 4 runner, so clearance is very different in snow. it has 20% less storage capacity, so it was very cramped. the 4 wheel or supposedly all wheel drive didnt work except occasionally when engaged in stopped position and disengaged at 15 -25 miles/hr. worst of all the tires were not even legal with insufficient tread that nearly killed me and my family crossing nevada, for which i am considering a negligence claim.
Cons: Our flight arrived at 1:15AM and Firefly's hours were until 2:00 AM. They decided to close early and left many families stranded at the airport. We ended up using Budget and paying more because we did not have a reservation. When we called Firefly, the number did not lead to the SLC location and the person kept telling us on the phone that they should be there and that they were on a break. We waited more than 10 minutes. Budget told us they left for the day/eve. Bad service. Don't use them unless you're sure they will be open.
