I had a tire problem with my rental. It was determined not safe for my long travel back to SC from Gainesville. I was initially told to go to Gainesville Airport for a switch out of vehichles. Upon my arrival there, there were no cars available and several people waiting for returning vehicles. I called the roadside assistance and after a good while told I would be able to have a car guaranteed but would need to drive to Ocala Airport ( 47 more minutes away). Upon arrival there I was told there was no message for them from roadside assistance and there were no cars available. After two hours there, a car was returned and I was on my way. All representatives were courteous but said they run into this all the time. Cars are promised without checking with the location. This is poor communication. I was also charged $43+ over my original quote. When I called they said it was for gas. I filled the tank minutes before turning in ( a day early) and the representative was again courteous and said I would be refunded which is the right solution. I would like to ask for compensation for the runaround for the better part of a day on this trip. Again all reps were courteous but your departments are not communicating with each other. Pickup was a breeze. Representative at pickup location was extremely helpful and polite. Had no problems. Drop off was a much different situation. The representative that helped us was quite rude and had an attitude with everyone that approached her first assistance. We had the same representative when we returned from our cruise to rent another one way vehicle. She had an even nastier attitude and almost refused to rent me the vehicle without a credit card. I presented her with the debit card that I originally used for the first rental with no problems. She claimed that my credit based off that debit card was not good enough however there were plenty of funds in there to cover the rental. She never even requested my social security number so I'm not sure how she pulled a credit report. She definitely did not have authorization for that.

I broke down on vacation and they were very helpful and quick about getting me the proper vehicle for my needs and getting me back on the road quickly

They didn’t have the car I reservedNothingThe fact that I reserved a VAN and was told at the 11th hour that they didn’t have one and they were giving me an SUV which didn’t work for me. If I wanted an SUV, I would have reserved an SUV. My reservation was for a VAV for a reason. Terrible experience.

Need signs inside hotel for counter location... Don’t expect to find sign on counter-b back in 10 minutes Instead of saying sorry, he wanted to debate! We are not college students, we are retired locals!

Bad experienceNothingThey gave my car away because I showed up more than 2 hours after my original reservation. My flight was late and they didn’t seem to care. No other cars were available. I was inconvenient and had to make other arrangements which cost me more money

I made the reservation for 3pm pick up at the Hilton, Budget location in Gainesville, FL. The reservation was cheaper than picking up at the Gainesville Airport. When I arrived, the desk was closed. I feel like I should not have been able to make a reservation for a time the desk would not be open. I called Budget and spoke to a representative that was able to move my reservation to the Gainesville Airport and confirmed that they had a car available. This was going to be $40 more expensive, but as we were without options, we agreed. We drove 20 minutes to the airport only to be told by the Budget representative that they had no cars and that he "didn't know what to tell me". I asked if there was anything else I could do, and that the Budget rep on the phone had confirmed that there was a car for me, to which he replied again, "I don't know what to tell you." I ended up walking counter to counter at the airport and asking for cars. I ended up having to pay twice as much as my original reservation for a car with your competitor. This could not have been a more negative experience.

Economy car was in excellent shape. Price was best I could find. Car had cruise and played my Google map directions from my iPhone over the radio.
