Staff was friendly and despite my booking the wrong day, let me rent the same truck for the same price.Cons:
This is just all Enterprise Car Rental's in general, but they don't require the person returning the car to fill the gas tank to the top and just bring it back the way it was. I always find that harder to do.8.0 Very good

I would have expected no additional charges for dropping off the car at Dulles airport instead of Herndon, especially since I had rented the car for more than a month. However, because of the additional charge, I had to drop it off at Herndon instead of the airport.10.0 Wonderful

The budget office I used was in Herndon, VA. I'd reserved a compact car the week before and when I walked in to the office, I was the only customer. The agent who helped me was great. Got me in and out of the office in like 5 minutes. The car was a compact (Ford Focus?) and was clean, roomy enough for my needs and got good gas mileage. I kept it for a couple weeks, and when I returned it, I got the same level of customer service as before. (Actually, the same agent!) -For me, and this rental experience - I'll happily use this budget office again9.6 Wonderful

I liked the ease of Kayak finding me a rental in my price range. Then, the experience with Budget was great. The day before my reservation, I had to request that my dates be change, and the very nice person at Budget (the one in the local office) was very accomodating, even though her computer showed they were low on cars. Pick up and drop off were both easy, and the rental office (While small - this was at a local Sheraton hotel), was close to my home.10.0 Wonderful

Called me and left a vm that the car would not be ready for 1.5 to 2 hours. But voicemail showed up a day later. Also, car vehicle type didn't work for me. Ubered to airport and got an Alamo rental10.0 Wonderful

Yes the Associate that issued the car was excellent, but think you need to have another person working this facility as the man was doing everything, cleaning cars, taking cars back in from return and issuing cars out. Its WAY to much for such a BIG Company as Avis to show this to Customers.8.4 Very good

Renting the car from Herndon VA rather than IAD airport was definitely the way to go savings hundreds of dollars. There were no lines at this rental location with friendly service people.Cons:
The gas tank was only at 7/8 full level. In my opinion the gas tank should have been full as Avis probably charged (or should have) the previous renter for this.2.0 Poor

The staff was nice enough.Cons:
literally everything could have been better. The car we reserved wasn't there, so they told us they had to put us in a compact. We had a seven hour drive. At first, we got in the car since that was all they said they had. It was gross. The interior was grungy and the car had clearly been smoked in. Additionally, there were six or seven other vehicles sitting there that we could have chosen. We went back inside and asked why they weren't offered, and all they said was they'd give us six dollars off the rental. I told them to refund the trip and that we would go somewhere else. We ended up going to Avis a couple blocks away. Yes, it was more expensive, but I would rather pay more for what I want than less for the polar opposite of what I want or need.8.0 Very good

The staff called two hours before our scheduled vehicle pick up time to tell us they had no vehicle for us and no options. I’m not sure how we could have gotten a reservation confirmation, but no car. It put my wife and me in a terrible bind, and not a pleasant experience.Cons:

The staff was friendly and helpful, made it easy to pick up and drop off. Also liked the fact that I didn't have to go to the airport to get a rental, as well as its proximity to the Metro.Cons:
Gas tank was only 3/8 full, so had to make a stop for gas. Makes it easier starting with a full tank as well as when it is dropped off. Easier to fill it than figure out how much to add to get the 3/8.10.0 Wonderful

Gabriel is the Hertz representative. He did a tremendous job of answering all my questions and providing a rental car that served my family’s needs. I upgraded to a luxury SUV and Gabriel identified a car in his inventory that offered exactly the options I needed.
