The car was great - a new minivan in excellent condition. We reserved a toddler car seat but then noticed in the reservation confirmation that “additional charges could apply.” I called to see how much they would be, since we could check a car seat for free on our flight, and was told that the charges for the car seat were “already included” in the rate that we had. But when we got to the Enterprise desk, we were told they were not and we had to pay an additional $35. This was rather annoying. The line at the airport was SUPER slow, and then it took a while for them to find the car seat and it took us an extra long time to get it attached since the hook locations in the mini van were not obvious. But, aside from that, everything went smoothly and we do recommend Enterprise as a company.

Counter staff were very helpful. Upgrade was super!! New car was very high tech. Would have been helpful to have owners guide to figure out how to operate some features. Otherwise the car was very fun to drive and very economical.

We reserved from an off airport site to get a better rate. Took a taxi from the airport to the Enterprise location and they were closed due to covid. We couldn’t reach anyone by phone so went on to our hotel. Finally reached someone later in the day and they said they didn’t have my phone number or they would have contacted me. Funny I provided phone and email when I made the res. They said we could pick up our car at the airport location. Had to take taxi back to the airport. There and back cost $80.

I thought I had already paid for rental on Kayak when I spent $300 reserving it. I get to Hertz to pick it up and they slap a $500 security hold on me. Even after I selected no extra fee for liability. Meaning everything was on me if something happened.

Not being familiar with the area, I thought I was picking up the car at the airport but it was actually in Destin which cost us $65 to get to Destin. It would have been nice if this would have been clairfied when reserving online. My search was for Destin Airport and it sent me to Destin. Once we got to Destin, the service was not very good, the car had a STRONG smell of cleaning product (which made me sick) but the car was clean.

Flew in and found out our car was unavailable. Had a parking lot full, but they were saving them for FEMA..which is fine, a disaster had just taken place. But to have no warning before being stranded at the airport is sad.

Waited in line for an hour due to having only one agent on duty. The vehicle was parked a long way from the rental desk, making it difficult for older folks to walk to get to.

The vehicle choice was wonderful. Premium SUV - had an Infinity. Loved the ride. Will continue booking thru kayak.

Cons:

Every state has different rulings - additional driver in state of Florida was $15 per day. Would have been nice to know ahead of pick up. Oh well.

The van was spacious and suited my need. When I picked up the vehicle the lady at the desk was very polite.

Cons:

When I picked up the vehicle nobody went with me to inspect the vehicle or to do a walk around to insure there were no issues. When I picked up the van it had NOT been cleaned inside. It appeared that it had NOT been checked to any specific standard other than it had a full tank of gas. All 4 tires were low and not a single one of them had the same pressure. I had to add 4,5,6 and 7 pounds of air respectively. I would have assumed that safety would have been a priority. I know well enough to check those things for myself, but what about people who don't? Very very disappointing

Disappointing. The car broke down on the side of the highway 3.5 hours into a 14 hour drive. The roadside assistance department couldn’t come up with a solution any sooner than 6 hours of waiting on the roadside. I self-rescued and after securing a refund, Avis customer service did nothing to make up for the fact that their primary charter of renting a safe reliable car failed and had no compassion or interest in making up for the inconvenience and delays.

We had to wait in line for 3 hours to get our reserved rental car only to get more awful service and moved to a Tahoe which didn’t fit our family and luggage. Was then told we would get a discount which didn’t happen. Now I get to waste more time on the phone with Avis trying to get this figured out. If you are renting from the Destin/Fort Walton airport location….BEWARE!!

The car wasn’t ready. We had to wait an hour for them to clean it and when we got to the car, it wasn’t even clean—there was sand all over the floor still. Customer service was poor too. No one to greet us at drop off to make sure the rental was good or anything. As a preferred customer, we were not pleased with our experience.

Pros:

We asked specifically for a car that seated 8 and we got a car that seated 7. There were no cars that seated 8 so someone had to ride illegally and unsafe the entire trip.

Cons:

The lady that helped at Pickup was not helpful on instructing drop off after hours. The car stunk. And giving people the amount of seating they request is pretty vital.

The rental was not clean and even had ants… We dropped it off early. Additionally, even though we dropped it off the same day the reservation has not been closed out, so we are getting daily pending changes on our credit card (currently on day 4 of this madness).
