Everything went smoothly. Picking it up was easy. As we are planning to be in Mexico for a month it is very nice not being worried about our own car in a parking lot away from home. The most difficult part was getting to a hotel after dropping the rental at SeaTac airport as our flight wasn't til the next day.

Cons:

Did not have the vehicle (pickup truck) I had reserved or any other vehicle options. Should not have accepted reservation if can't fulfill it. Had to pay for a Lyft ride home since I came away without a vehicle.

Pros:

The process of reserving the car and the car itself was easy.

Cons:

There was an issue when I dropped off the car in Helena. I will say that the empolyee, Gwen, who helped me from Albany was VERY helpful. She resolved the issue. I feel that the employee in Helena was also very kind and was just trying to do his job. The situation did cause me some stress, though.

Pros:

Staff was friendly, but they only had one car available and made me upgrade for more money, then tried to hard talk me into getting the additional insurance. Classic tactics.

Cons:

They should have given me the car for the same price, instead of charging me for the upgrade.

It was awful. I showed up at my appointed time at 9 AM. It was told there was no car available, and if somebody turned in, they put me on a waitlist to get a call, which I did not get. I was basically told it was my fault, but I made a booking after their hours didn’t reservation. Then when they pull the list in the morning from their system, for some reason, my name was not on it, which it should’ve been. Nothing I can control either of these situations Their fault. I had to get myself to the Portland airport, I was able to find a car via Avis. This experience with her was incredibly disappointing and really impacted my ability to catch my flight.

My experience with hertz rentals in Corvallis was a complete nightmare. I had to swap cars twice during my road trip. Once due to a mechanical malfunction and a second time because of low tire pressure. When I returned the first rental to another hertz I was sure to refill the fuel. However when I was done with my trip and returned the third vehicle back to my original rental location I had a fuel charge for $164. And of course because it was a charge placed at another location they said they couldn’t remove it, that I had to call and get it removed. Tried calling and only got the voicemail and never received a call back. They make it very difficult to talk to an actual person once you’ve completed your rental and they already have your money. Very disappointing and dissatisfying experience to say the least. I do not recommend renting from hertz in Corvallis or any hertz anywhere.

Pros:

I got a phone call saying that they were changing the hours for my pick up location and that I could get my vehicle 2 hours later than planned. I would have missed my flight. When I called customer service to see what options I had, the guy said none!!!! He wasn't apologetic. Didn't try to help in any way. I will NEVER use Avis again.

Pros:

The rental agent was friendly and helpful, but was working alone. There needed to be another agent present to move things along.

Cons:

I had to wait the better part of an hour before the lone rental agent was free. In other words, there was a line of 4 or 6 people, and one of them took a really long time.
