Pointe-Claire Car Rentals

Cons: 1. The location is not exactly in the city where tourists visit and it's about 10 km from the airport. It was a bit inconvenient to pick up the car. 2. The rental office told us to bring the car back with the gas tank EMPTY. It is pretty stressful to attempt to bring the car back with tank empty. The norm, in my experience, is to receive the car with tank full and return the car with the tank full.

Cons: The car was not that clean. We found several alcohol wipes under the drivers seat. The clearly did not work and the air conditioning leaked in the car. We advised them upon returning the car and they offered a discount on the original price for the rental.

Cons: Didn't have the car we wanted or anything close even though the booking was made two days prior. Was offered a pickup truck and a van instead. I took the pickup truck initially but when it was brought around it smelt strongly of marijuana. We eventually took a dodge caravan. Halfway to our destination we noticed the smell of vomit inside the car. On closer inspection there was what looked like a patch of vomit in between the rear seats. There was also soda sprayed all over the side panels and various candy leftovers and snacks left in the seat storage-wells. To the staff's credit our flight was delayed and we did not arrive until 5 mins after their usual closing time and we were still helped. But the above issues could have been avoided if they were more organized. We'll use another company next time.

Cons: I rented three times in the last 5 weeks a car. The 1. time you overcharged me.

Cons: Extra fee for 2nd driver

Cons: It wasn't extremely evident on the website that the car rental was not the one at the airport, and it was a 20 minute plus drive. Customs had taken a lot longer than expected and the place was closed when we got there - had to get the taxi to take us to the hotel instead. It could have been much worse but made a call to the service line and they were very accommodating in changing the rental so that we weren't charged for that day and made plans to pick it up the next.
