Other car rental companies include Hertz, Budget, and Alamo. They are located within the terminal; just follow the signs of your preferred car rental agency and walk there to pick up the car. Also, you may request your rental agency to return the car to a different location. This is commonly known as one way car rental and this request should be made early while making the reservation. You're required to indicate your preferred drop off point, which may come at an additional fee.  Also, the after hour return policy indicates that you return the car to the agency's parking lot and drop the key in the designated box. Then the car rental receipt will be emailed to you the following day.
  • The Ann Arbor Airport is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, certain times of the day or week may be more difficult to pick up or drop off a rental car. The airport is usually busiest during the summer months and during the Christmas and New Year's holiday seasons. They booked me to the wrong location (22 miles away from my chosen location), a different location than mentioned on the kayak app, and cleaned the car after I arrived for pickup, and still charged me the same price when I only booked the car for 24 hours and had it for 3 hours less due to the location and rebooking issues.

The line for both pickup and dropoff was REALLY long. Once I did get to talk to someone the staff bent over backwards to make the experience smooth.
