I received confirmation that the vehicle was ready the day before my scheduled pick up. I arrived at my location to an office that wasn’t opened yet. I called Hertz customer service who were of no help or emphatic of my situation. While on the phone with customer service the office opened 20 minutes late. They didn’t have internet service, weren’t able to pull up my reservation but they were able to tell me that they did not have my vehicle on the property. I was offered another vehicle but it didn’t meet my needs.

I didn't see the fine print that stated Hertz counter closed at 8:00 PM. Our plane landed @ 8:45 PM and by the time we arrived at the Hertz counter it was closed. There was a sign posted on the counter that stated they were closed. The other car rental agencies were open, in fact National was the only only agency that had a car for me and my wife. I tried calling Hertz Customer Service center only to be transferred and ultimately disconnected. I tried calling back to no resolve. I understand Scranton Airport is not a major hub; however, Hertz knew I was due in, in fact the agent called my cell phone - while I was in the air - to let me know I was late and that she was about to leave and to contact her back. If National didn't have a car for me I don't know what I would have done, my family, whom we were visiting was over a 100 miles away, and elderly. Instead using small print to identify that they close @ 8:00 PM, they should ensure their customer understands their limitations - which their competitors didn't seem to have.

They didn’t honor my reservation and said they didn’t have any more cars. They said since I had a reservation from a third party that the third party didn’t have access to the inventory. Someone behind me had Hertz reservation and was able to get a car. I was unable to get a rental car for my trip

Reserved a van, reservation was confirmed. Received call in morning they didn't have any vans. Drove by, there was a van in their lot. Felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode. Went to Enterprise, no issues!

Our flight was delayed by 3 hours and when we arrived at Hertz at 4:00 pm they were closed. We called them numerous times to advise of the delay and they never answered their phones. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Would've been nice if the counter was open when my flight arrived. The National/Enterprise counter was open. Hertz, Avis and others were closed. Such is life, I guess.

Friendly receptionist. Choices of vehicles in class reserved. I returned the vehicle more than a day early, but didn’t get a refund for the day. That would’ve been nice. Also, I was quoted one price and charged more at check out.

It coudn't be better!!!It was a nice experience the staff was so polite, explain everything and always with a smile were trying to help!!The car could be better clean, smelled like cigarrete and.was kind of durty from the pet of last costumer that use it! Beside that it was greatt!!

Friendly, helpful staffThe staff were great, and vey efficient. They had the car ready and warmed up. I will definitely use this location again.The inside of the car smelled like cigarette smoke when I first got it, but it dissipated within a day.

Nothing. They had the car sitting there, ready for me to get going. I didn't need it for as long as I expected & was credited for the extra day I had paid for. Overall completely painless experience. And I paid much less than $260 enterprise wanted me to pay. Loyal customer for life!

Avis cancelled last minuteNothing at all.I rec'd a phone all the day before I was set to pick up my rental and was informed by the customer service rep that the passenger van I was to rent was not available. That was about 16 hours before I was set to embark on a weekend trip with 14 young adults, not one that was old enough to drive. We scrambled and called every other rental agency and FINALLY located a van an hour away. After some juggling, cursing and praying we managed to get the van and have an awesome weekend, no thanks to Avis. I will NEVER rent a vehicle (or anything else) from Avis. They lost a repeat customer!!

Dirty car as delivered. Poor communication. The location did not know about our requested pickup delay that we called into the call center. Plus, they said they tried to call us to ask if we were still coming. They were planning to rent our car away! Very poor communications!
