Friendly receptionist. Choices of vehicles in class reserved. I returned the vehicle more than a day early, but didn’t get a refund for the day. That would’ve been nice. Also, I was quoted one price and charged more at check out.

They told me over the phone it was 150$ deposit but when I got to the counter they said it was 250$ deposit which I did not have. Now I have to wait 10 days to get my 135$ refund for the cost of the rental which I could not rent because I didn’t have the 250$. For deposit. Poor communication. Workers should have been I sync..

Inspect the tires on their vehicles. As many miles that are driven in these vehicles, there needs to be something put in place that all tires are inspected by tire personnel. The vehicle I drove had a bad tire. The tire was in the rear as it shook the drivers seat. It also was loud enough, that it became road noise, and it wasn't. These symptoms were all pointing to uneven tire and/or tire separation. Luckily I had it only for a day, however, it was driven for 500+ miles.

I didn't see the fine print that stated Hertz counter closed at 8:00 PM. Our plane landed @ 8:45 PM and by the time we arrived at the Hertz counter it was closed. There was a sign posted on the counter that stated they were closed. The other car rental agencies were open, in fact National was the only only agency that had a car for me and my wife. I tried calling Hertz Customer Service center only to be transferred and ultimately disconnected. I tried calling back to no resolve. I understand Scranton Airport is not a major hub; however, Hertz knew I was due in, in fact the agent called my cell phone - while I was in the air - to let me know I was late and that she was about to leave and to contact her back. If National didn't have a car for me I don't know what I would have done, my family, whom we were visiting was over a 100 miles away, and elderly. Instead using small print to identify that they close @ 8:00 PM, they should ensure their customer understands their limitations - which their competitors didn't seem to have.
