This was a B&B, great location, approx 20 mins walk to center of Collingwood, great places to walk
Pros: Hotel employees VERY friendly and VERY accommodating, also very helpful with information on places to see, places to eat, will definitely go back to see them
Pros: The owners were beyond expectations! They made us feel completely at home, gave a great restaurant idea, and invited us to play cards with them in the evening....who does that??!! They had a full house and everyone was friendly and considerate of others
Cons: Next time I would get the bigger room only because my husband is a big guy and you couldn't move all the way around the bed...but it was comfortable.
Pros: The receptionist were very nice. The room was very clean
Pros: Very nice hotel, great location near Scandinave Spa. Our room looked new and clean. Free wifi and breakfast included.
Cons: Gym needed more equipment. More seating in breakfast area is needed.
Pros: clean/salt water pool and hot tub/location
Pros: I liked room facilities and cleanliness of this Hotel.
Cons: I did not like Breakfast Menu.
Pros: they have best staff and the room was beyond my expectation. the location is best spot.
Cons: i didn't like the breakfast they serve cold hard boiled eggs and the hash brown taste bad. also, they did not change the linens on the next day.
Pros: clean and spacious... loved the king bed
Pros: Very clean , pleasant staff, nice free breakfast
Pros: The room was very clean. The staff was friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was just ok.
Pros: The hotel was very clean n located at an excellent spot, barely 5 min to the village. The staff was very nice n polite.
Cons: The staff was unbelievably rude and non professional. They refused to let me talk to the manager in regard to a concern of mine. They dropped the ball and didn't pick us up at the airport because they sent another co's bus and didn't tell this to us before
Pros: It was conveniently located in a mall with a grocery store and a Tim Hortons and other restaurants nearby. The breakfast was quite good.
Cons: I was surprised that, for the price of the room, it did not come with a bar frig for cold drinks or lunch. I have stayed in motels for $--- a night that had one.
Pros: Very close to a lot of amenities. Very comfortable accommodations
Cons: Having a restaurant on premises would be good in the hotel, when it's too cold outside.
Pros: Room was clean, check in was quick and easy.
Breakfast was great.
Pros: Excellent location, very close (by car) to the Village (the skiing resort) and much more economical. Nothing more and nothing less than what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Very reliable.
Pros: Rooms were clean and had a nice kitchenette.
Cons: We were only able to check in at 4:00pm and check out was at 10:00 the next morning. We did not arrive until later in the evening following skiing and the water slide for the pool was only open for a few hours each evening. Definitely not worth the price to stay considering the late check in and early check out.
Pros: I'm sure it was not the cold Canadian winds or the freezing weather conditions that make us think the crew @ living waters were warm, friendly and inviting. From the front desk, to the concierge, to the staff; all of them displayed 5 star hospitality & quality. Highly recommended.
Cons: ongoing construction - but this is to improve the existing amazing facility and features of this place.
Pros: Accommodations were spacious and comfortable. However, the big picture window in the setting area needs to be replaced. The needed A/C air blew behind the curtains instead of in the room.
Cons: The pricey Gustav restaurant
Cons: No cell service in the area and unusable wifi is unacceptable. Buy another router or two, you don't have enough. It was impossible to plan anything and this caused huge hassles on our trip. It's 2016. get some more routers.
Pros: Fantastic room!!!
Pros: Room was a nice size and had a patio door access to outside on first floor. Seemed clean enough. We were only there for one evening so did not try their dining room. Lots of parking and wifi included (although signal not that strong).
Cons: The room was somewhat dark and the hallways smelled musty. The towels and bed linens were not what I would expect for the price per night. For what I would consider the off season, the price was too high for the quality of the room. I would expect to pay half of the rate we did for the quality of the room and amenities.
Pros: it was the only one available, so I did not have any other choices
Pros: Location was convenient to destination
Cons: Washroom although clean was in need of repair. Shower and tiles were falling off and crumbling. Only got 2 tiny bars of soap. Very basic.
Pros: decent proximity to Blue Mountain
Cons: One of the outlets didn't work, which serviced the microwave and fridge. Heat was very low in the room, even at max output. Considering the cold cold nights for skiing at blue, this is pretty poor.
Pros: Location was great. Staff was very friendly!
Cons: There was nothing in particular that I did not like.
Overall, with the exception of check in, a good experience.
Pros: Location plus the helpful & friendly attitude of the staff in the morning and evening.
Cons: Yes, the aloof & seeming somewhat unfriendly attitude of the man who checked us in upon arrival.
The gentleman who owned the motel was pretty friendly. Offered my husband and me a 'quiet' room which was nice. When we walked in, we immediately knew we got what we paid for - not much. NO hot water (only lukewarm), cracked door frame from someone obviously trying to kick it in at some point (who doesn't fix that?)... and no dead bolt on the door. Electrical outlets didn't seem to work, as I had plugged in my phone and it was still dead the next morning. It was a chilly night and we thought we would turn on the heat, but alas.. the wall heaters were not working. I would hate to see how cold it would get in there in the winter! All in all, we did get what we paid for.. a bed to crash in but not much else. Wouldn't likely go back.
Pros: Location. Price.
Cons: The cracked door frame, lack of dead bolt, lukewarm water, broken heater (we froze at night).
