Staff were excellent, couldn't fault anyone. Would certainly stay there again. N/A
Convenience of position helpfulness of staff . Will return in 5 weeks on way home.
location recent renovation housekeeping removed my welcome letter
Only airport shuttle from hotel to the airport. Airport shuttle at 06:00 while breakfast isn't served until 06:30 - so don't pay for bed and breakfast.
Service and accommodations were excellent! The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The room was clean and well appointed. The shower was nice and strong. The King size bed was comfortable. The Al Fahidi Metro station is close by and only a 5 minute walk.. The Big Bus station is across the street. The Souqs are just a short walk away. The concierge was very helpful in planning our daily itineraries. The pool was clean. Nothing to dislike about Arabian Courtyard at all. The in-house restaurants are a bit expensive, but there are many inexpensive and delicious alternatives nearby within walking distance.
brilliant location, friendly staff especially Prince in the breakfast restaurant and Ashish in the bar. Bed was super comfy and room was quite. Pool area is lovely. We will definitely stay again when next in Dubai
staff courtesy spa was overpriced for quality of service
Generally everything was fine. The Arabian feel of the hotel was great. We had a spacious family room. No - no real problems. The Family room was described as having a kitchenette, but we found a sink, a microwave and kettle. A kitchenette usually means also some cooking facilities (heated rings) with pots and pans.
Location and the traditional arabic feel of the hotel Building work opposite (not the hotels fault!)
Furniture and room was beautiful, pool was also great! It was very luxurious and a great valye for the money. Location was great if you are interested in seeing the mueum and the old part of town. A bit far from the shopping and other activities, but close to the creek and old part of town. Gym was also great! You cannot bring outside food into the hotel and the resteraunts inside the hotel were very limited and food was not so good. the Spa overcharged me and the staff in the breakfast buffet were really rude and wanted to get you out as fast as possible. They also played the same annoying smooth jazz song on repeat every morning for 3 days straight! I am not sure if it was meant to drive people out as fast as possible or what! Also, cleaning guy would stop me and ask me if I needed anything every single time a went out of my room. Although to some people this might be nice, I found it really annoying and I wanted to duck and hide everytime I left the room.
I loved the doorman. He was very cute in his outfit and hospitable. I did not liek the fact that they had my reservation more than was booked on line. I had to sort through emails to find my confirmation print out to show them. So I advise ppl to print the confiramtion as soon as you are finished and take it with you to save time. I also did not like that the walls were too thin. I heard clear sneezing all night and the cleaners sweeping in the morn. Thank goodness it was just that.
The Indian food restaurant in the hotel. Food was very good and the service excellent. The service upon admission was very bad.
close to everything, Starbucks, food , restaurants, grocery stores......whatever you name it....smack in the middle The fact the internet wasnt free
Staff are friendly service is excellent location is perfect rate is reasonable Rate has been increased
Location, staff, quiet rooms, good service each time I stay there.
Friendly staff and very comfortable beds Lack of free wireless Internet in rooms
Location near shopping, restaurants and metro. Hotel has a very nice bar and excellent Indian restaurant but reservation is recommended.
I appreciated the allowance of late check out without extra charges
Location. Free wi-fi in lobby and at Viceroy´s Breakfast should include for high roomprice. Prefer more hotel apartment with fridge and washing machine.
The location of the hotel was convenient and easy to reach. There are no parking spaces available although there is valet service.
Your hotel is in the heart of the town.God ambiance.Well treatment
We booked a quad room with 1x extra bed when we arrived we were told they only have an executive room this is our largest room it only has 1 queen size bed, we are 2 adults 3 children we explained we cannot all fit in 1 bed and were told it is accepted practice for children and children to sleep in 1 bed we said this was totally unacceptable we have stayed in hotels all over the world and also sheraton hotels and this is totally unaceptable, it was 2am in the morning and so we made do overnight, we got a very similar response in the morning from the manager and rang booking.com and they confirmed we had booked a quad room and extra bed, although they had no more luck than we did with the manager. This is not a family hotel the most it can 3
This is a really nice hotel. From the reviews I was expecting to be overwhelmingly impressed. It was great but nothing to write home about. The front desk staff, however, was extremely professional and helpful. The location is nice being close to 2 metro stops and a grocery store next door. The breakfast buffet is waaaaaaayyy over priced. Its a good breakfast but not for that price.
Well positioned, well priced, nice breakfast, good transfer arrangements, obliging staff Hard beds & lumpy pillows
Inside it is noise free with good atmosphere breakfast
airport drop off, check in - could do earlier which made it easy for us
The room was very clean The telephone charges are horrific
We were booked in efficiently and there were no issues at this stage We were invoiced for 2 nights accomodation when we only stayed one
Poor service, No working internet
It was all great
The room was clean and well equipped. Buffet breakfast was good. Room service was fast and the food was tasty.
shuttle to airport, functional hotel, people at desk were helpful Its nothing special. The rooms are quite small but the price is lower than a lot of Dubai hotels and its fine if you are in transit through Dubai.
The staff-members. The out-dated facilities which were not available at times.
The location to the souks snd older part of Dubai. No. Just a bit busy and chaotic in the lobby late at night with comings and goings of various "pleasure seekers"
Nothing seems to be plesant at York International, Its one of the worest hotel i ever stayed The front Office Staff, The Managers, Only fews staffs was good rest they all are busy with something else. Very patatic service
close everywhere. very noisy in the night because of the bar downstairs, much traffic, they didnt informed us the hotel facilities is under renovation especially the pool.
i think york international hotel in bur dubai only have one difficult and this is about hotel nightclub music sound that is verey loaud heard in the room till midnight and poor windows sound protect because can you hear street taxis beep in midnight but all of aother facility is in economic status verey good
its very comfortable in various aspects!
Only the location. The Hotel Ideal located. But the behaviour of the staff at the reception are not friendly.Secondly, Every body comes to dubai for a business trip that means they are busy during the day time and want to relax in the eveing. The zym, sauna, steam are open only up to 5 pm.
I did not like very much, about my stay, due to lack of freedom within the hotel, reminded me of the ymca. I left the Hotel after two nights, the receiptionist was delighted to show me that it was a non refundable aggreement, she really found that enjoyable, she really didnot care about the fact that due to circumstances I had to leave earlier than I planned.
location - easily accessible to the creek, Arts complex, old city, airport The service was appalling, many things were broken - we were in the lift when it broke down; this apparently happens frequently. Pool not open. The phone in the room was broken and with no WiFi we had to use the internet computers in the smoke-filled bar which was jammed with prostitutes booking their clients. The only way to get a taxi was to stand in the middle of the busy street in front.
This is a good hotel to spend less with required facilities. I think the menu does not have much choices for pure vegetarian. Its a scope to improve in this front.
It's cleanliness, and courteous staff The fact that I could'nt make my tea anytime because there was no tea kettle in my room.
The Royal Ascot had a wide range of restaurants and catered for all taste. All the food was bay far the best we have ever eaten on holiday and then there was the chill bar on the roof... cannot begin to say how good that was. what a fantastic idea and the staff were wonderfull. There was no tea coffee facilities in the room.
Our first time at the Royal Ascot although not our first time in Dubai. So take it as a great recommendation that, in future, this will be our preferred choice. It is next to the Ascot hotel (they actually seem to be one and the same) and part of the Ascot is a fabulous Irish pub called Waxy O'Connors. You can have an excellent pint of Guiness whilst eating traditional fare. We'll be back.
The gym was well equipped and the room was comfortable and clean During check-in, they did not remind me that breakfast was included and I forgot till it was too late.
The location. the room was spacious. The breakfast restaurant wasn't very comfortable
The staff were friendly service was excellent Had to pay for drinking water, no tea or coffee making facility in my room
The staff were very helpful and couteous The room flooring and carpeting could have been cleaner.
Very pleasant staff excluding reception staff.
The location to the creek and markets were very good. The decor was very nice and it was great having the pool to use. It was also good having good quality restaurants within the hotel. I did not like the location of the room they put us in. We were placed on the 7th floor which was immediately under the staff canteen and cooking area. Throughout the night we were continuously woken by the noise from this area. We complained several times but nothing was done to reduce the noise or to place us in another room. We left the hotel feeling exhausted from lack of sleep.

Staff only and price
The staff was very helpfull, they were very pleasant, the room was very clean as well. Since there was a problem with the reservation the only available room was just above the club, so everynight the club noise was high.
The room was ok Bad wifi Poor attitude of staff. Wanted to charge for my wife additionally. I had to argue with three people to get this waved. Very poorly trained personnel. Will not recommend.
The services and policies...

Good staff. Location.

Good Hotel at good location. They have bars, clubs and other MWR. Nearby unlimited shopping locations, restaurants, transportation service, metro station etc. Overall good staffs too. Most of the hospitality sections have Asian nationalities immigrants working in middle east. They need to upgrade in their skills n quality of hospitality with the guests no matter what a guest nationality is. Rating the guest is inappropriate.
Cosiness and warm environment The room is too small. I stayed there for 3 days. During my stay there I had the same meal for breakfast.
Relaxed, romantic "old world" Arabic ambiance in the heart of hyper modern Dubai. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location from which to explore the sites of the inner city. Nicely appointed rooms and well laid breakfast table. It was a little tricky for my MacBook Pro to pick up a continuous Wi-Fi signal in our room, most likely due to the solid, centuries old construction style of the guest house's stone walls. The signal was fine in the courtyard however.
Excellent location very close to Dubai Creek, and the old shopping district with stores too numerous to count. Situated in a restored part of traditional "old Dubai" with "artsy" restaurants/cafes just around the corner. Very cozy, comfortable and quiet. A real gem.
Location and accessibility Hot food available at breakfast was at best lukewarm
We really enjoyed the relaxed and intimate surroundings of the Orient Guest House and look forward to returning. It was close to the Dubai Creek and shopping in the nearest souks. The sister hotel The Arabian Courtyard provided excellent facilities of which we used many. No
Great location, fabulous accomodation and very helpful staff.
Excellent positon, no need to climb stairs. small and cosy, The taxi driver did not knwow wher ir was!
The hotel desgin is nice but only to see it not to stay in it. Very bad smell, some of the staff are very bad specially the night shift one, rooms are not clean toilet is not clean, water pressure in the toilet is too low u can not have a shower, insects and lizards are in the reciption hall. not recommended at all.
the historical enviroments it takes you back to the old days the showerroom i think thier is no need for the bath only shower with good water pressure and the TV need to be update with more relaible channals.
The location of the hotel is perfect - all the historical sights within walking distance and the Abra across the creek justthe other end of the colourful souk The breakfast selection poor, and I felt the rooms were overpriced for the general level of facilities. This may reflect the unreasable charges in general for hotels in Dubai. If one is going to have to pay the same for a concrete box in a high rise tower then this hotel is excellent value. The staff were not particularly friendly and this made the level of service seem lacking
The great staff , location and value for money the cockroach at the room
nothing bad sevice, Bad staff & management, car parking
Nice and Clean room and better atmosphere.
smoking smell is coming in night, bath room is very very small.difficult bath room is very very small.difficult to take bath
Nothing Room is not good, bed sheets are old and dirty
1-Wireless Internet Connection is available in each room. Internet fees for 24 hours are very cheap. 2- Fresh juices are available for very cheap price compared to other hotels ,malls , and restaurants. 3-complementary breakfast was provided as a gift. Also lucnh /dinner meals cost is very reasonable. 1- Windows were a little bit dusty from outside. 2- Late room service (sometimes you have to call to ensure they come on time for cleaning) 3- Not enough lighting in the room for reading/working. 4- Check out time is not flixable /extendable.
Good locality. Breakfast should be always available during the period.
Food was good. Rooms are spaceous. Location wise good.
Good value for money; good location; friendly staff; clean rooms; decent food Every 24 hrs there is a need to go to front desk to extend Internet use
I like it.s location ..and stuff treatment and I like the food in the restaurant .and the seeming pool in the roof.
The room's space are excellent. Big & nice. specially for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast can improve more.
The location is just 20 mins from Airport via metro. The Wi-Fi gave me some problems. The broadband speed was too less.
Actually I did not expect that the hotel is great because the room price is cheaper and what I secondly choose, the hotel is having a parking area. But when we are inside the rooms (2 rooms with my family) we are really surprise because the rooms are big enough, very clean and well equipped. Definitely in our next stay in Dubai, we will stay in Rainbow Hotel.
