Very nice room Water wasn't hot enough at some times
Lovely hotel for just a few quid more than a Travel Lodge. Well presented, very clean, nice breakfast Staff were helpful if not all that friendly - a bit clinical
beautifull place to stay. the roms were nice and warm
The public rooms, reception area, food and the beautiful countryside in which the hotel is situated is ideal for a wedding which is why we stayed at the hotel.
very peaceful setting, very pleasant staff and good value leaving
Food was very good and so was the service The bar prices were expensive (even for a hotel)
Relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The room was rather basic but very clean. The food was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. Room was rather basic
Beautiful building and surrounds. Food excellent and staff helpfull and friendly.
Cleanliness, welcoming and friendly staff, well appointed room and beautifull surroundings.
The breakfast was excellent On this occasion the bed mattress was worn out & uncomfortable. Usually I have enjoyed good, comfortable beds at Inglewood Manor - one of the reasons I choose this hotel
Comfortable rooms, Friendly staff, good facilities and a nice quiet location Coffee was vary variable in quality and some of the decor is starting to show its age. Not all spa facilities were working.
the staff were helpful and freindly had to get out of the room by 11.00am. Bit early
Excellent service upon arrival - quality rooms. Perfect for a romantic break!
The hotel was set in lovely grounds, the staff were very friendly and accomodating, restaurant food was good if rather expensive
Breakfast - no vegetarian option
Excellent rooms. Lovely pool and gym with top class beauty treatments available. Handy location near golf clubs, Chester and The Wirral. Easy to access. Excellent, young staff but there were obviously not enough staff as they were running around trying to make sure all was good. Communications in the hotel didn't seem to be quite up to speed.
Our family room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The leisure facilities were also of a high standard. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very much below par and not what I would expect of a 4 star hotel, I understand the restaurant has a Rosette award, however it wouldn't be for the standard of food at breakfast!
We had a very enjoyable wedding party - the staff were very helpful to us and the food was excellent.
Very nice setting in a rural location. Food quality excellent Room facilities were poor. No mini bar and chanel selection for TV extremely limited. No Movie chanels. Meals in the rooms were expensive and service at Breakfast very poor. Waiter and Waitress did not understand English!
A pleasant welcome at reception. A very nice room. Very good breakfast. Attentive service at dinner in the restaurant.
Excellent staff very courteious and helpful especially in the resturant Extractor fan in bathroom didnt work and no got it fixed even aftrer we had asked them to do so
our room was lovely and it was a very romantic setting.I would recommend it to anyone,If I was to go back to ellesmere I would stay at the holiday inn.
I thought the staff were superb. Very helpful and approachable, they really are a credit to the hotel and made a lovely change compared to some we have stayed in.
this was a very good hotel, easy to find and a good central location that met all our needs. The breakfast was great and being able to sit outside with our morning tea on the canal side was a real bonus. The bar staff on the evening was also very helpful. The only slight problem was on our departure, when paying the bill it was different to the amount quoted but this problem was soon resolved with again very pleasant reception staff.
the gym and pool no
Comfy bed, good facilities
everything was very good
Breakfast was poor and poor value for money cattle market
Perfect room. Very good location.
The location and the buffet breakfast was superb. The lift and bathrooms are very old. Also the way people stand outside to smoke
very loud noise outside from pub/saloon till midnight
The marbled elegance and old time styling. I worked there 47 years ago We did not like leaving
Convenience of location. Pizzeria was not of the high quality I would have expected. I also think that breakfast of some sort should nhave been included in the price. The number of smokers hanging around the front entrance sets a very low standard for the hotel.
Great location, with a ton of potential. Cheap feeling, outdated, not kept up.
The staff were extremly helpful and friendly. Only stayed one night, breakfast excellent and parking availability excellent
Good location The hotel building and some of the decor would surely have been very impressive in its heyday, but is now very shabby and in desperate need of renovation and cleaning! Breakfast was poor.
friendly people, obliging and it was very comfortable.
we like to go away as many weekends as poss, but not @ £114 per night, which is what we paid. the last time we stayed there early this year we paid £59
Access to the city centre
Cool rennovated warehouse with appropriate light industrial finishings. Nice blend of retro with very modern upgrades. Less than two miles to Anfield ( we walked back from match - all downhill). Service (front desk, bar, and concierge) did not match otherwise outstanding facility. Distance from downtown perhaps made ready cab or Uber service a little longer than normal. Staff appeared newly hired and perhaps less experiences in how things were supposed to work. Tried hard but had to seek directions from others. Given time on the job, expect service will improve. Would give another try.
The bed was awesome All good
The situation is ideal A little disappointed with 'The Brasserie'
Excellent customer care in every way. Always ready to help but not intrusive. Nothing
We were celebrating our Silver Wedding - this was a last minute deal and we managed to secure a room for about 50% less of normal rate - on arrival the staff were attentive and after we told them about our Silver Wedding a small complimentary cake was left in the room. We had an automatic upgrade to i think a Classic Deluxe room, which was amazing. This is truly a 5 * hotel, and although only for one night - it lives up to everything described on their website - Amazing... The only thing i would say - is we were not told very much about the SPA facilities, it was a case of find out for yourself - but as we were only in the hotel for one night it wasnt really an issue.
I was upgraded to the Presidential Suite which is normally £1400 per night. Amazing hotel!!!!
Polite and helpful staff, beautiful room, excellent food and facilities. Everything you should be entitled to expect from a 5star hotel.
We were a little disappointed with our room - we stayed in the classic suite and have stayed in many 4 star hotels which have far nicer rooms.
The breakfast was superb. Both food and service were exceptional. The room was dark. The weather was bad and therefore the light outside was poor, but I was unable to find a position where I could sit and read comfortably. There was not a light which I could sit under.
It was beautiful, clean and luxurious. The staff were very friendly & helpful. An added touch that they would park the car for you - made a big difference on a busy saturday. The food in the Simon Radley restaurant was lovely and the staff were great. We had a fab time.
Great customer service and attitude of staff Prob with hot water making tea lukewarm!
Really helpful staff, excellent location, small but adequate rooms. Parking is a couple of blocks away, no food on site but rooms have kitchenette. Room was comfortable, but no place to hang out except lobby.
Comfortable bed, good facilities and very friendly staff The room would be greatly improved by the addition of an easy chair and a toothbrush holder or glass in the bathroom. Only 2 teabags left which seems pretty mean spirited, I'm sure you can afford more.
loved everthing bout the hotel 1 of the best city centre hotels ive stayed cool trendy very central good local discounted carparking and very friendly staff will definatly be back! nuthin it was top notch!
Excellent location, staff were friendly, rooms were very modern, clean and provided all necessary amenties. Shower was excellent.
I absolutely loved this hotel! I slept in for my flight and a member of staff came n woke me up! helped me to pack my stuff! seriously beautiful hotel! Around the corner from d main party square and two minutes away from the main shopping area! go here! the staff are amazing!
It was very close to everything! The bus station, the nightlife, restaurants and the shops were all within 5 minutes walking time or less! :) We couldnt open our window and the room just felt a teeney bit claustrophobic because of it!
This is a very new hotel voted 1 on Trip Advisor. I visit Liverpool often and have stayed in many hotels. The room was very clean, high-tec design was ok - good to be close to s many places of interest. Good bathroom. Awful air-con, cold air blowing directly onto the bed all night was very poor - very little sleep! Staff unable to fix? Alternative room offered seemed to have a similar problem - no upgrade suggested/offered to compensate. Single room was the size of a large cupboard, bathroom almost as big.........? I hope the double rooms are bigger?
Perfect! I haven't a bad word to say about base2stay.
The room was nice and modern and the lobby was big with outdoor seats staff were friendly. The location is quiet at night. We had requested an room with a view of the Mersey which we didnt get. The dining room carpet was very dirty and the hotel is a little far away from the city centre.
Staff were terrific - from the Reception to the person who brought us fried eggs at breakfast - great team! Not a thing - better than I expected.
breakfast ansd staff were great
We could not use any water facilities until 4pm on Saturday 27/11/2010.
I stayed a week at this hotel, and would definitely stay again when I return to Liverpool.
Room had everything you could wish for, very well planned and thought out. Had a water cut off mid morning which was a little inconvenient as I was mid showering when it went off.
very helpfull & very friendly staff.Top quality hotel without stuck up staff! Rooms excellant huge comfy bed, clean, well stocked mini bar, great sized rooms.lovely pool. can't wait to return!! Food prices a little too expensive so didn't eat at hotel.
Frankly I liked everything.
staff very freindly and polite There was a function on with loud music until late, it would have been nice to been informed first.
Check in was effortless. Rooms were are of a very good standard and clean. The extra bed was very uncomfortable.
Excellent service but slow check in due to queue and only two staff at the desk - I was in a rush to get to a conference dinner and as delayed because of this. As above
Comfortable, secure, great location for shopping Expensive restaurant...Hotel booking made on the Internet back in July and although we weren't staying until late November the money was debited in July.
The city center location was spot on. The friendly staff. The room was very clean and welcoming. The bar facilities were excellent. In my view an all round perfect hotel.
Conveniently located for theatre break. Clean, well equiped, compact modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent shower. Good selection at breakfast although sausages/bacon looked a bit undercooked. Although the shower was excellent the wc is separate from the ensuite and doesnt have a washhand basin and is less convenient than a traditional en-suite. Expensive bar prices.
Its excellent location to most places within Liverpool. No free Wifi on site.
The Hotel is right at the centre of Liverpool, I felt the hotel description could elaborate more on this. Minutes away from the young and lively night life of Bold street, in the other direction only minutes from Church street with its outside craft/food stalls and a great selection of shops to whet your appetite on the way to Liverpool one. Hotel staff are excellent, very friendly however, they speak extremely fast and it was difficult to understand. They were very patient when I kept saying, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying. The bar is modern, fresh and inviting. The carpet outside the lift on the 8th floor where our room was loacted was very dirty.
Clean, modern, good leisure facilities, friendly staff, top quality breakfast. Lots of 'city' noise during the night, no bath (executive room), bit if a battle to get the internet switched on (we had paid for it in our rate), pretty expensive.
An excellent room, the bed was very comfortable, very clean, there were excellent facilities the sauna & gym were great. We were offered breadfast for £10 each on check in but did not book as we were unsure what time we were meeting friends the next day on the following morning the offer was withdrawn this was the only fault we found with this hotel.
Breakfast and service, piped sound into bathroom, tea and coffee in room, large comfortable room, desk and MP3 music player lead Not much -- all was pretty good
Good service and pleasant staff. Room great and enjoyed using the gym. Very close to many good restaurants. None really
The reception staff were very friendly. The design of the hotel is stunning. The breakfast menu was unbelievable, such a fantastic variety to choose from.
Good parking very good breakfast
From the cleaner to the manager, everyone was extremely helpful There were no bad points
the staff was efficient ,we were able to check in as soon as we arrived which was great. finding a toe nail on our bedroom carpet as we entered the room 345
Location and parking facility Not enough staff in dining room on the Sunday morning which was very busy due to a wedding on the Saturday
Excellent attentive and pleasant staff Food prices very high in bar, excessive.
Friendly courteous staff, excellent location 10 min walk to Liverpool One shopping centre. Large room with computer desk/chair, comfy bed, excellent breakfast and enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant - excellent value. Parking only £9 over stay. Bathroom & bath was a little small
Good location with friendly staff. A little "spa" was a good extra for daddy and son. Nice room. Only one thing, dinner pasta was actually awful, although the starter soup was excellent.
Excellant staff, from doorman through to room service and restaurant staff - well done all. (1) Not really a bad point just one of slight irritation, and it happens in a number of hotels, staff in restaurants continually asking "is everything alright". I suppose its just getting the balance right. (2) Again not a big point, but checking and ensuring things like mini bar doors and wardrobe doors don't bind, etc but are set-up correctly are proper touches for a hotel like the plaza.
The staff in this hotel are absolutely supurb None
Friendliness of the staff and the room was comfortable.
The jacuzi's in the room were a pleasant surprise! Also for £65 the price was brilliant particularly as most of the people I was staying with had paid £100+! Excellent hotel and staff & would go again without a shadow of a doubt! The cooked breakfast was a bit random?!?!?
Excellent location .....polite staff......relaxing enviroment.....rustic charm...exudes character and class.......fantastic old world enviroment....breakfast was amazing Wish it could have been a longer stay....
It was not far for us to travel. and as we wanted to see the wirral it was convienient It is in need of up dating
The staff were fantastic, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. £100 for a room, breakfast and a 3 course evening meal for 2 is amazingly good value for such a lovely hotel!
The outside area's were lovely and the function room was very good The attempt to retain 'old world' decoration in the room fails miserably and just leads to the room being depressing. The room was large but needs freshening up but the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was a one off - one bacon , one egg, one black pudding, one sausage - I could not find the bean!
Comfortable large room. Very nice piping hot breakfast cooked individually. Just would have liked kippers to be available for breakfasr as they are on the menu.
Quiet location, pleasant grounds, very comfortable room
The quiteness of the area, hotel is off main road.
Close to place of work. No comments about the hotel - but mainly the pricing structure of the hotel for single travellers
Service of Staff was great very helpful and polite through out. Thankyou
The Bed! It was huge! Super comfy! Truly enjoyable hotel. Staff were very nice and very helpful. Would recommend and would definately stay again!
to relax have a beer with nice food no
Nothing to add Could not get snack on Saturday
pleasant helpful staff well situated for touring the Wirral and surrounding areas. We did feel that some form of breakfast should be included in the price as an additional £30 rather heavy, when for the same money one could get B@B.
conveinence for work appointment
All the staff were very helpful and welcoming No food (even sandwiches) available after 10.00pm. At the bar, plenty of alcohol available, but the coffee/hot chocolate machine was switched off at 10.00pm. No choice of teas in the room.
we went to a concert at the echo arena and this hotel could not have been more covienient the pillows weren't very compfortable
Location, clean Lack of character
i had a very enjoyable stay here great location great service and great value
The room was very basic, and for some reason although there was only two of us, they had made another camp bed type thing up, which took up a lot of room, leaving very limited space to move around the room when getting ready for our evening out!
we thought the hotel was great and staff really helpful and pleasant and would definatley stay again. and recommend to others,
The bar and restaurant areas were lovely and the service was excellent.
the rooms were very clean no
central location, easy parking.
New hotel, ideal location (near the dock etc), nice and comfy rooms There were some teething problems with a new hotel. The fire alarms went off in the middle of the night twice on our 1st night. On 2nd night, no hot water. it was disappointing that the staff in the hotel wasn't able to tell us how long it would take to fix the problem.
Great location, new modern business hotel Management need to take responsibility for training staff properly. This needs to come from the top and filter down. Tea and coffee being slammed onto the breakfast table is not acceptable nor is a poorly trained bartender who knows nothing about the area he is working on. With a few adjustments things could run much slicker.
room and location were excellent Staff in the bar were poor. very slow and not attentive. Left to go to a bar outside the hotel as a result.
It was brand new and very well situated for shopping and nightlife in the City I think it is a misguided strategy to charge for bottled water in the room-this seems a small point but it is the only hotel I have been to that does not provide it free of charge.
The location and the use of the executive lounge Paying extra for internet in an executive room
Location was great and the breakfast was really nice. The food in the restaurant was also very good. The air conditioning was a bit weak. It was cold when we were in Liverpool and it took about an hour for the airco to warm the room up.
Rooms ready when we arrived. Reception and bar staff very helpful.
Thought the hotel was fantastic - great view, lovely room, great bar, great breakfast and good ambience. No radio or music in room v disappointing. The staff member on duty when we checked out wouldn't believe us when we said we had only had two drinks other peoples drinks had managed to get onto our bill. We were left waiting for a long time while she tried to sort this out and then we received no apology when she realised she was in the wrong!!!! Very poor customer service.
nice location friendly staff one thing i didnt know adout the room before hand ,it had a door linking up to another room this meant you could hear people talking quiet clearly in the early morning when we stay again we will look for a room that dont have this link up door otherwise we could have no fault with the hotel it was excellent will stay again
Central with good adjacent facilities Room poorly cleaned
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
It was central to where we wanted to be in Liverpool Room was small and compact, toilet/shower cubicle within the main area.
It was close to everything the city has to offer.
it is central I have been in the hotel for the second time.... but this time the hotel was much smaller than the first time... Infact it was suffocating in the room
Love not having a window no street noise which was better than I thought Air conditioner constantly was running through it system. Made it hard to sleep
Free cheese at 5:00
Great staff... location great and rooms clean. No real storage space in rooms.
Cleanliness, excellent customer service, peaceful and comfortable stay. Overall a great experience Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Location! The hotel is a short walk from Matthew Street and Liverpool One. Hotel is in the Hart of City Centre. The staff is extremely friendly. Will stay again. If there is one thing I didn't like is the lack of stairs or an extra elevator. Nothing too bad, but can slow you down if you are in a hurry.
The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and fit for short stay
Great location. Close to Cavern area and Mooresfield underground station. Rooms are extremely small -- smaller than a cruise ship's smallest cabin.
proximity to city centre Tip to have privacy in en suite. Buy a newspaper and sellotape. Attach newspaper to the outside of glass and then shower in private
Everything - great staff and excellent atmosphere
The beatles theme throughout the hotel is fascinating a must see for any beatles fan. The hotel staff are very helpful and even tried to get us tickets for the comedy club. There was a strange noise almost like a tube train that was very annoying. I did complain and was given a £20 discount. They thought it was the air conditioning.
The overall layout of the hotel ,the decor and design quiet unique Price rather expensive considering it did not include breakfast
Location was very close to Cavern Club. Check in was confusing, person at the counter acted as if it was her first hour on the job. Went to lounge for a drink, was hoping to hear beatles music... after all, we were staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel. They were playing beatles music, but it was so soft we could barely hear it (and not because there were so many people talking, there were only 4 people in the lounge). I asked them to turn it up, which they did ever so slightly. Still only soft background music. We were not looking for loud, just something we could hear without straining. Had yet another bad experience with concierge (Kevin). We had purchased tickets to the Cavern Club Beatles tribute band show through the hotel. Asked Kevin when we should plan to arrive for the 8 PM show to be sure we got seats (explaining that I had read on line that seating was limited and you had to arrive early to get seats even if you had purchased tickets). Kevin dismissed my concern, saying we just had to be there at 8 and handed us the tickets. When we got to the room I read the tickets, they also said that seating was limited and that a ticket didn't guarantee a seat. Decided to ignore Kevin's guidance and it was a good thing we did. We arrived at 7, people were already lined up. By the time the doors opened (7:45) the place was full of people lined up to get in. We got a seat, but had we listened to Kevin we would have been standing for the entire show, which ended just after midnight.
The central lokation, the design and the comfort.
I liked the rooms the location and help from the concierge. The breakfast was extremely disorganised, overcrowded with no cutlery set out. It was a buffet but you had to ask for everything!
Tastefully themed and in the heart of the city.
Location good TV programming. Including Sky sports Bathrooms very dark. Bad lighting. Breakfast selection ok at best
excellent hotel took my partner for his birthday handy for the shops freindly staff would stay again and tell all my freinds on the isle of man where i live nothing
The food at Blakes restaurant was amazing and all staff were very helpful throughout the hotel. The decor is luxurious and rooms are spacious.
the staff were extremely freindly and hepfull no
The public spaces downstairs - bar lounge etc - air of activity and comfort The room while very well furnished and serviced was on the small side for an hotel of this tarriff
Good location. Excellant value for money. Didn't like using the entry key in the lift. It didn't always stop at the correct floor
Comfortable bed and the pub next door! (The Baltic Fleet) Room was on topfloor and close to lift shaft - too noisy. Also, inadequate breakfast facilities...side plates in lieu of dinner plates and not sufficient space to accommodate the number of guests - you end up eating breakfast practically in the reception area.
Very well kept hotel, and staff were generally nice. On check in they wanted to take credit card and take money from it, I usually pay on check out and we wanted to pay cash as we have no credit card. The manager was unwilling to help us at all and wouldnt take deposit or anything and insisted we get credeit card from somewhere or we couldnt stay! I thought was outrageous and prejudice against people who dont have credit cards we had used a prepay to book hotel. In the end we had to get our friends credit details just to secure the room and then pay on check out. I found this very inconvienent and embarrassing to be treated like that!!
central location close to the shops and the albert docks with very helpful staff.very modern bedrooms and bathrooms . very busy breakfast area
Its new and modern We asked for a wake up call - didnt get it. We also asked previous evening to book taxi for 4.45am as we had an early flight. We ended up having to get the night porter to ring a taxi at 5.00am. for us.
Modern. Friendly staff. Bit far away from "civilisation", not the nicest of walks to the hotel.
The hotel offered a good allround service and was excelent for our stay. I coundnt fault the hotel
lovely hotel no faults with rooms or staff , plesent and helpful,, lifts where bit crazy , could end up on any floor after pressing for the floor you had asked for, front door couldnt get out with a pushchair tight squeeze, only for having my partner with me wouldnt of got out at al as you need someone to carry on pushing the door around,
Staff very helpful. The parking facility was secure but at the moment a bit awkward to drive in and out of because of ongoing building alterations.
An very good two day, first stay, we will stay again when in Liverpool. None
Hotel rooms were very small, toilet cramped, and bed was made for dwarfs!
the room was lovely, over looking the water. the young girl on reception was very helpful when we asked her where the place to go at night was.
This hotel needs some money spent on it. The food was ok. There was private function, so there was only one bar open, with no atmosphere, but three tv's! It certainly isn't 4 stars.
Location/breakfast The bed mattress was old - need to change
location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean room, very good food, checkout efficient, 1st evening restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate a late arrival hairdryer was broken, breakfast 1st morning was chaotic and prolonged, they'd run out of several key elements including plates, for which one had to wait, late delivery newspaper 1st morning, but overall an excellent experience
Nice Room Parking is a nightmare
This hotel is definitely not 4 star. Very disappointed at value for money I had problems checking in and checking out as the prepaid cost with Bookings.com had not been updated on their system. Tried to charge me again. Not impressed with hotel, won't be staying there again. Not a 4 star hotel. Bar was awful
Location Rooms had a terrible smell to them.
Great location, clean with very friendly staff. Would stay again
