I reserved a luxury car (Cadillac or similar). On arrival I was told there were no luxury cars.I was offered a VW SUV instead. Not exactly a luxury car, or even similar. I was given no explanantion. The rate was adjusted, at least.Cons:

literally nothing about the experience.Cons:
I got the booking confirmation and was dropped off to pick up the car. only to be told "we have no cars for you" and absolute refusal to do anything to get me anywhere. had to miss my grandmother's memorial service because of this. very unhappy with this experience from the very beginning.10.0 Wonderful

Staff did not care about giving me a clean car. After I left, I called to report smoke issues with AC use and car stalling at times. Bad gas? No remedy was offered. When I got to the airport, Hertz was not even there to do my return. My car agent n vet discussed my plans at all The worst car rental ever. Maybe I should have gone through the Airport rental instead of private franchise. I put 4 calls into Hertz to help me...Cons:

He attempted to convince me I had to pay a hidden $95 drop fee. He said I didn't select another location when I reserved the car. I showed him my confirmation email that shows me dropping at another location but he didn't care. I canceled the reservation.10.0 Wonderful

Staff was good when I dropped off and understanding of my issue. They further discounted the rental for me to compensate for the inconvenience.Cons:
The car was not cleaned well when I picked up. There was a lot of dirt and mud around the exterior crevices and door jambs as if the truck was taken off road by the previous renter. Windows inside were filthy and there was no window washer solvent left. Dash was also dusty.10.0 Wonderful

The lady at the desk was great and made every effort to get us or car at the quoted price. However, we haven't rented a car in years and we're not familiar with the details. She was very polite despite our frustrations and was very professional.Cons:
I booked the car with a debit card but apparently you can't rent a car with a debit card without a credit check and paying extra. This should have been stated when I made my reservation. We brought a credit card but it was in my wife's old name and so we couldn't use it since it didn't match her licence. At the nice desk ladies suggestion, we tried to find a different ID with her old name on it but she didn't bring her whole purse on this trip. It was very frustrating. I had to get a ride to pick up the car and then my wife had to uber back up there with her credit card only to be told that wouldn't work as well. This could have been solved at the reservation point easily by stating you need a matching licence and credit card to book the car in the first place. Very disappointing.10.0 Wonderful
