7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice place, wonderful decor and staff
Cons: Very expensive with nothing to do.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient Location Room was clean with a functional layout breakfast was excellent
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Location was perfect and hotel restaurant was great . Our waitress was on top of everything. Valet service was also excellent
Cons: Our room was like a box and the view was looking directly at a very unattractive side of a building. Our bathroom needed a fan or vent, completely fogged up from a short shower.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff!!! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. From check-in, to valet, to the concierge...everyone was super helpful and made you feel at home. Also, the location was EVERYTHING.
Cons: The bed, pillows and furniture were old and weren’t the most comfortable. The TV was also outdated and lacked any streaming systems. May not have been a big deal if it weren’t for COVID-19 making us want to stay in vs. go out!
6.0 Good
Pros: I liked it was convenient to town and a small hotel.
Cons: For the price definitely needs some updating. Light switch to bathroom located in bathroom so wakes everyone up when you go to bathroom at night.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Terrible customer service, keys never worked Locked out of room for three hours No regard for guest safety Would never recommend or go back
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great- the valet attendants were very professional (and the parking was actually cheaper than the city parking garages) and the front desk staff were very helpful. They even had a complimentary car service! You also can't beat the location of the hotel- a minute walk and you're surrounded by beautiful shops and restaurants!
Cons: Our room was near the elevator and the pantry- due to the proximity of those two things, it was pretty loud throughout the night. There was a sign next to the pantry encouraging people to be quiet but I'm not sure that advice was taken. While the wooden floors were beautiful, I don't think they did a lot to muffle noise when people walked to their rooms in the middle of the night.

It would have definitely been helpful to have a map of the area. We went to Dimillo's for dinner and found a map & pamphlets for Portland area, but too late because we were leaving in the morning.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The suite was comfortable and the towels awesome
Cons: The fact that their was no breakfast or social gathering due to the covid 19. Also no coffee or water in lobby. The coffee machines in the room didn’t make the best coffee. I understand the circumstances just think they could have tried harder for their guests. Also renovations on 4 th floor very noisy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious for a family and quiet. The breakfast was varied and plentiful., and location was perfect for an early flight as well. The staff was extremely wonderful all the way around!!!!
Cons: Unfortunately, the pool heater was not working...we were offered to use the pool at a nearby sister hotel, however, we arrived late and our toddler was beyond excited to swim (the highlight of our hotel stays every 2 weeks for work travel). It would have been nice if we were given a heads up prior to arrival, we would have changed our plans.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place and location! The breakfast was amazing. All of the food were local and home grown. I love that concept and practice.
Cons: Nothing!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is super nice and ready to help and recommend whatever you need. They also offer typewriters, which I just loved more than anything. The restaurant is very nice, has a great atmosphere and good service. And the location is just great, you get to see everything downtown has to offer: restaurants, bars, shops and the harbour.
Cons: The housekeeping was fine, just minor things. When I arrived, there were no slippers in the room, which isn't that big of a deal. But the second day, they came into my room very late, at 2pm and forgot to put away some things, like the bedcover. Again, not a big deal, but doesn't seem like they paid much attention to what they were doing that day.

1.0 Poor
Cons: The pool was closed the next day and that's the reason I went in the first place to bring the kids swimming. And they didnt have any mercy about it and was rude.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Most everything
Cons: In a room 509 with an adjoining door to a very noisy neighbor, sex day and night and a crying baby. Normally I stay here, three times in the past couple months with no noise, but this stay was difficult. Not sure why I could hear every conversation, but I had to wear earplugs and use white noise to overcome this.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice view and comfy bed although was still hair in the shower but not a huge deal
Cons: I got charged twice when I checked in then got refunded when I told them then it happened again when I checked out, so pay attention to your card statements.

2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The first room stunk of stale cigarettes, despite being a non-smoking room. The second room we were given was disgusting: toilet was dirty, toilet seat was destroyed and needed to be replaced, entire room needed a thorough cleaning as there were dried bits of food on the floor and a layer of dust in many areas. We overhead the cleaning staff talking about how badly they "needed to poop." The front staff was dressed poorly. Honestly, the entire place should just be gutted and redone. The hotel is also located across the street from a strip club.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The check in was smooth and we had a balcony... Could have had a fridge and microwave at least, but over all was well worth every penny. Thanks Ramada. Oh yeah, has a nice little gym and restaurant....
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Free breakfast
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location, value
Cons: We were sent to an end entrance door even though the staff knew there was a problem with key cards not working. A sign was finally put on the door. One of the key cards we were given did not work on our room door either. FRUSTRATING
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was really comfy.
Cons: Glad I didn't look at the sheets because the bathtub hair long hairs all through it when we got into it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: We didn't get to enjoy the pool. When my husband asked someone how was the pool they kept mentioning there were a lot of kids there like that was he was asking. It made us uncomfortable and not bother going to the pool at all. That was not the hotels fault though. The staff were all very friendly.

Cons: Front desk service was good.. but the bartender restaurant server was rude and very unfriendly.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is very convenient in terms of getting to all the major transportation hubs and the staff at front desk is always very friendly and accommodating. I continue to seek out the Clarion whenever I have to travel early next day and when the price is reasonable it's my first choice.
Cons: When it's busy can hear noise in hallway but not sure that's the fault of hotel. Rooms are comfortable but heat/air can be a little noisy with the on/off of the fan. All in all it's good value when price is discounted a bit.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large, comfortable room with sufficient amenities. Very nice staff. Close to airport. Good food across the street.
Cons: Coffee maker may have been broken or possibly just poor quality. The coffee was SO watery. Good for hot water though if you bring your own tea. Also, not necessarily the hotel's fault, but there was so much drama and noise across the hall. Staff made contact with the people a couple times but I wish they had taken more definitive action.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms, great water view, super clean
Cons: Only two treadmills and one elliptical, and elevation function on neither treadmill worked. A small thing, but kinda important to a workout.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: front desk was Wonderful!!
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: I was placed in a handicap accessible room with an unusual walk-in shower configuration; the drain was in the center of the bathroom. I had to sop up water with bath towels as water was around the toilet and in center of bathroom, causing a trip hazard.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Was in Portland for one night and wanted to stay in Old Port to enjoy the sights, sounds and seafood! The hotel is welcoming and beautiful. The rooms are very nice and the staff was great. The location was very convenient to some of my favorite places in the area including Gilbert's Chowder House, LeRoux (retail) and of course, the waterfront. View from my harbor view room was outstanding.
Cons: My only complaint was that for the steep room rate, breakfast was extra. I booked through American Express travel and am a Platinum card member. Seems like a cup of coffee and a bagel isn't a whole lot to ask for when I've spent $450 for the room.
6.0 Good
Cons: Paying for an ocean view but looking at a parking garage. Front desk staff was terrible.
5.0 Okay
Pros: good location
Cons: house keeping didn't do good job

Pros: Awesome place!
Cons: Bar open alittle earlier than 5:00 would be the only thing i would have liked. Otherwise, this place is PERFECT!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Quiet surroundings. Loved the made-to-order breakfast option. Great downtown location for shopping and dining out.
Cons: Toilets could have been a bit higher profile... And maybe a couple more regular coffee pods in the rooms? Not really much to complain about, but there you go!

Cons: Valet parking only
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. Valet service was friendly and worked very hard. Shuttle service was fantastic
Cons: Room 323 was beautiful except for a LOUD vibration sound in the ceiling!! It would sound off periodically throughout the night. Called front desk and they never offered another room. Engineering came and said thre was nothing they could do. It was LOUD!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff with dining recommendations for places where most of the diners were local, with great food and reasonable prices. Free shuttle to port area was available on demand, with a very short wait. Gym was large and had a lot of cardio equipment, free weights, mats, and other equipment. Cleaning staff was very visible and well equipped for the C-virus.
Cons: I requested a quiet room. It was on my reservation and I received confirmation that my request would be accommodated. The room I was given had a view to a construction site that made sleeping impossible after 7 a.m. I was moved the second night, I could still see the construction but its was quieter.
7.9 Good
Pros: I thought when I pre booked a corner room I would have a view of the water...it was of the Residence Inn across the street. Not what I wanted for a romantic night
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The parking situation was very limited. We wore told we had to find our own parking in the street or use their valet parking which was an additional 30.00 per night. It was an added expense we were not aware of.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Had no power at home for over 30 hours, drove to Portland after finding an awesome rate at AC. When they found out we were part of the power outage they upgraded us to best room available. They made an uncomfortable challenge, an amazing event. Our Oceanview of Portland Harbor and late check out the next day ,was the icing on the cake

6.0 Good
Cons: I paid extra to get a room with a king bed, but when we arrived they gave us a room with two queen beds because the other rooms weren’t available. I was disappointed.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Fitness room
Cons: Super loud techno music in the lobby. At all hours. Not good for relaxing or talking with anyone. They said they could not turn down or change. Rooms are new but decor feels like a cold cave.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The breakfast service was not presented at all clearly. I saw people come and look at the area but there was no menu, no information on what was available or what anything cost. After that most people walked away. I felt bad for the people working there.

Cons: The flooring was dirty. Looked like someone forgot to vacuum. I would suggest using a microfiber mop to pick up the dust, and dirt, they work better than vacuums.

Pros: The room was great for the two of us. Full-size refrigerator, dishes, sink, cooktop, cutlery, wine bottle opener and a microwave. Nice big TV Extremely clean. The staff were very pleasant..
Cons: Some highway noise could be heard. Not much at all. Occasionally a transport truck would use the “Jake Brake” on the exit ramp. That could be heard a 1/4 mile away. Nothing the hotel could do to control that.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and me needed temporary housing as we relocated to Maine and started new jobs. This site had the perfect location to shopping and getting to work. The staff were friendly and the beds we’re comfortable.
Cons: While pet friendly the rooms were not adequately sound proof. Dogs could be heard through the closed door and tv on at a normal level. There was a rule for dog owners that if the front desk received complaints the dog would need to relocate to a kennel. We never complained as we understand Fido is a family member. Nothing against dog friendly places just that when doing so make sure the sound damping doors and walls are more than adequate.
