Pros: The room was extremely clean. The breakfast was very tasty and the bed was plush and comfy.
Cons: The breakfast was great so I would have loved a bigger portion or seconds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From booking to extending my stay, Lynn was super-accommodating and warm. The Crosby House was immaculate with much attention to detail. The breakfast was not only from scratch but made fresh with delicious fresh fruit and a hot entrée, served in a beautiful intimate dining room. The other couple that were at breakfast were gluten-free and Lynn provided gluten-free, individualized breakfasts for them! I will go back for sure and recommend this bed and breakfast, it is worth paying the additional cost and you get much more in return than staying at the local hotel chains.

Pros: Everyone was so friendly and Maria's breakfasts were superb. We also enjoyed hiking in the forest directly from the backyard of the B&B.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow this is a great place to stay and Maria is a wonder woman! Firstly the communication with the accommodation was excellent. Maria noticed that I had various dietary intolerances and she contacted me for further information. During our stay she made a special cooked breakfast for me on both days; coconut waffles (non diary) with cinnamon fruit and polenta cake with Italian sausage on the second morning. Maria always seemed to be baking and providing biscuits and goodies for the guests, the smell was wonderful. She was so helpful in many other ways, giving local information for places to see and eat. We really enjoyed eating in Duo on both nights and they even make me a special chocolate pudding! You can walk to the restaurants, it takes about 15 mins. The room was quaint, clean and very comfortable; we had a jacuzzi bath. I cannot rate this place highly enough for the warm welcome and comfortable stay.
Cons: Nothing it was all great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Maria the inn keeper. Great breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice fruit to start and good, not oversized portions.

Pros: The breakfast person (sorry did not get his name) is wonderful, helpful, and happy!! We are what I would call regulars at this hotel and enjoy ourselves every time! DON'T CHANGE A THING!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Kaylie helped us check in. Her positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and helpfulness was above and beyond expectation. She helped us fee so welcome and also gave us ideas of how to spend our time in Brattleboro. We were so grateful for her assistance. Our bed was very comfortable. I am very picky about my sheets and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. I appreciated the pillow options available also.
6.8 Good
Cons: Room and pool was a little dirty. Not enough staff when hotel was at full capacity.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Room cleaning staff barely cleaned the room daily. They often didn’t vacuum and hardly made up the bed. Rooms were not made up until after 3 pm.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the welcoming of the entrance and how clean it was, along with cookies and tea in the afternoon. I liked the decor of the hotel and the updates. The breakfast was great with all the healthy offering.
Cons: The room was so hot at night even though we put on the AC. The fitness room was kind of small to workout out in. Plus there were no towels. The pool was gorgeous looking but kind of cool.
6.3 Good
Pros: The breakfast, especially the sausage gravy and biscuits.
Cons: I have an unknown $50 charge on my credit card from my stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with many gluten free options.
Cons: Our only complaint is our king size mattress has seen better days.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, nice fire pit outdoors, quiet.
Cons: No hot tub, breakfast not so good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Easy access from major routes. Not far from a good restaurant.
Cons: The hotel rooms are very dated. They feel old and a bit shabby.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great
6.8 Good
Pros: It was clean. The location was good. Reasonable price.
Cons: I had called to request rooms in a quiet location, however, when we checked in there was no record of my request in the reservation. Because it was late in the day, the only rooms left were directly across from the elevators. Other hotels have honored our request by putting us at the end of the hallway. I'm not sure why that was not possible here. The desk clerk was very matter of fact, and never apologized, or smiled, or acknowledged that a mistake had been made in neglecting to note the telephoned request. A little sympathy from the desk clerk would have gone a long way in making me not feel totally blown off. Fortunately, this night the hotel was reasonably quiet, and we did not suffer too much. It was a bummer that we could not get adjoining rooms with our kids. Beds are a bit hard.

7.5 Good
Pros: Great pillows!
Cons: Little too noisy
7.4 Good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and movie theatre were bonuses. Walking distance to many restaurants and stores a very convenient factor
Cons: The lack of individual control of room temperature. That was remedied however when maid brought us a few blankets
6.0 Good
Pros: Great downtown location with easy parking, a great staff, and loads of character.
Cons: While I can appreciate the character of an older building, or a place with a story, this place seems like it really could use an update and a scrubbing. They should at least add heat and AC and have a 24 hour front desk. Fine for a night or two.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the best part. Super nice and helpful.
Cons: bed was super firm
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent continental + breakfast.Extremely courteous and helpful staff. The Art Deco style gave the hotel an interesting touch, especially our access to the Beautiful Latchis Theater.
Cons: Poor parking facilities. They were not up front about the parking challenges. Fortunately, we stayed over the weekend so we could use public parking lot at night w/o charge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Our room was upgraded so we expected Alittle something more special.. The traffic was extremely loud and kept us up at night. Our house is the same vintage so we appreciate older hotels. But they're not upgrading. They're only putting Band-Aids on corners. However we love Brattleboro. Great restaurants and setting.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The town was nice and had that old world charm. The Hotel fits nicely with the town and had a nice breakfast. The theater also fits nicely with the hotel and the room had a key instead of those key cards which added to its charm.
Cons: The rooms do not have temperature control and this needs to be rectified. Today customers expect to be able to control the rooms temperature... this is not the 1920's. There are solutions so the Hotel can keep its outside appearance yet put air conditioning in each room that the customers can control. Paint your bath tubs and bathrooms. They need it and the windows need to get an update. very difficult to open and I would hope new windows are made that allow the Hotel to keep the historic external appearance. I am trying to be fair but you really need to put some effort into maintenance and painting. Also in the vicinity of the hotel in the downtown area I could see that repairs like broken windows along the river front and building maintenance are needed. Please request the town to push the owners to get those fixed or mended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near everything...neat old property that has been well taken care of
Cons: Nothing
6.5 Good
Pros: Being in a movie theatre
Cons: The rooms need updating. The windows really need cleaning.
2.0 Mediocre

Cons: Could always enjoy a complimentary room upgrade!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The employees were extremely friendly and kind
Cons: It appeared that many people actually were living long-term in the facility as I sat outside my room I saw people taking their dogs out for a walk bringing large cat food litter bags in and noticed the same vehicles were there when I left in the mid a.m. are younger elements hanging around the picnic table I may be very wrong but I didn’t care for the environment
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great and breakfast was normal fare but fine. Inn was clean, room was nice and the price was great! Thank-you .Will not stay again only because of beds.
Cons: Beds are very hard. We all had trouble sleeping,Young and old so it wasn't us. The rest of the Inn was fine. The pool should have longer hours closing to early for us to use, asked if could stay open longer and was told no.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was clean well appointed with a really comfortable bed
Cons: The breakfast was poor, unless you were a waffle fan (which we aren't), quick prepared oats, but no really hot water to prepare them, stale bagels and bread. Resorted to "English muffins" which were the least stale. Coffee from an urn was poor, at least there was some fresh milk, rather than the ubiquitous "creamer powder". Fruit juice obviously powdered.
5.8 Okay

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super friendly. The room was very clean, spacious and nice.
Cons: The pool & gym belongs to a fitness club that hotel guest can use, but the pool has lots of strict rules and most of the lanes are being used for classes. Not a good place to take kids swimming. The grounds and the outside of the buildings could use some more clean up.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Nothing about it when I pulled in I wanted to drive away.looked like a crack house .....bookings should lower the score to a 3
Cons: Place was very dirty paint chipping bathroom had stains all over .was afraid to take off my shoes

Cons: Cleanliness
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
7.0 Good
Pros: Pool and spa was great
Cons: Breakfast set up was disorganized, walked back and forth between stations. The first morning I asked if there was yogurt, staff said no. I went to the store and bought my own. The next they did have some but no choice of flavors.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed is pretty comfy, and the front desk guy was super polite.
Cons: Room was teetering on the verge of unacceptably dirty. You could tell the bedding had been washed but the shower and carpeting was very suspect. The TV remote also had nasty sticky stuff on it which made me go buy lysol wipes to feel okay using it. The only reason I picked this motel was because of the pool and hot tub amenities. However the pool closes pretty early 8:45pm and right after my husband I got in we were forced to leave by a staff member due to incoming lightning which never came.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is great, right in the middle of Brattleboro lots of restaurants around and stores. Right off the highway and a short drive to ski mountains.
Cons: They say you get what you pay for, two queens for 100 bucks. Place was banged up and very dated. The table in the room was falling apart. Was it worth the 60 bucks I saved by not going to a better hotel, nope. I would have rather stayed at the Comfort in.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location with easy access off the highway was good for a road trip stop. I am typically not picky, and just wanted a quick place to stop overnight and swim a few laps in themorning before heading toward my actual destination.
Cons: The room was dusty with cobwebs. The bathroom seemed clean but had a mildew smell. The fridge rattled continuously and I needed to unplug it to get some sleep. About half of the tv stations had no sound. The pool was never open.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location and ease of parking
Cons: Smell of hallways and room..musty and smoky. No beds on first floor as requested

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Vacuuming cold have been better.
Cons: The TV would not work. The message on the screen was “check cable connection “.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, the beds were comfortable enough, our granddaughters slept from 630 at night to 7am the next day
Cons: Half a roll of toilet paper in bathroom is about all I can find wrong.
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location and good price. Bed was comfy.
Cons: The room was smelly - stale smoke maybe? It also wasn't particularly clean.
7.5 Good
Pros: That it was located close to so many places to get dinner and the young gentleman at the front desk was so personable and helpful
Cons: The website and the room card said check out was at 12 (noon) but at 1105 the housekeeper was knocking on the door asking if we were leaving plus the tv remote wouldn't allow you to turn the tv volume up or down it was stuck on the one volume
7.0 Good
Pros: The front staff was great, both at check in and check out. Very friendly.
Cons: There was a woman in the room next to me screaming/crying throughout the entire night. I wasn't sure what was going on but was woken up at midnight, 4am, and 6am to her yelling in agony. It honestly sounded like she was intoxicated or doing drugs. Also, I stayed in room 232, where there is apparently hair dye splattered all over the floor. At first, I thought it was blood which really freaked me out. The girl at the front desk was extremely nice, apologizing that she didn't tell me ahead of time, and offered me another room. I was able to go back and rest comfortably knowing it wasn't blood, but before we spoke, I considered finding another hotel because I was traveling alone and worried that I wasn't going to be safe there.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: There are not enough characters to explain the dirtiness, rudeness and lack of subfloors. Had to switch rooms at 11pm when it was sub zero temperatures.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was central and easy off and on to I-91.
Cons: Sticky dirty and the AC didn’t work.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Was close to highway
Cons: Towels were like rags. Floor dirty Sink had stains
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The only thing that wasn't good was the air conditioner, which ran at top fan speed no matter what I set the thermostat to. The controls on the unit itself were disabled and the only control was a separate thermostat mounted on the wall, which did not have a fan speed control
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Sheets were clean but comforter and mattress cover were very stained and dirty. The floor was full of dirt and filth as well. Location of AC (near the ceiling) made it difficult to adjust and there were no batteries in the remote.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The room smelled very strongly of a nasty floral scent. The bedding was gross and had hairs on it. Odd assortment of furniture. Worst Motel 6 I have stayed at.

Cons: Ice machine was a ice chest. Very original.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The crazy lady that ran the front desk.
Cons: The option that this was a place to stay. As apposed to a modern hotel. Nothing has been updated in 40 years.
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location, not walking distance to restaurants / bars which is a shame, but convenient off main road for exploring the area. Big comfortable bed
Cons: The heating hadn’t been put on before we arrived and the thermostat was set to 45!!!! It took over 2 hours to get the temp up to 65. We’d reserved and had an allocated room so I think that’s really bad. We’d wanted to chill out on the room but it was too cold to do anything.

4.0 Okay
Pros: That's a tough question. Checking out was the best part. Second place might be the waffle maker at breakfast.
Cons: Stairway to the 2nd floor was a perfect location for a murder mystery. The outside doors did not lock which made sense why Dominos advertised room delivery, everyone was welcome inside the hotel - no reservation needed! No AC in the first room, very dark.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good, beds comfortable and clean
Cons: Needs a good cleaning, hallways were very dirty
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was convenient.
Cons: smell of some chemical air freshener throughout the facility. Beds were old and the frames protested loudly when a person sat or laid down on the beds. The bathrooms were clean but could use new tiling and new tubs. There was no Gideon Bible in the bedside drawer. Yet evidence of the Buddist religion was prominently displayed in the lobby.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Bed was acceptable and bathroom was clean.
Cons: Building old and not upkept. Dirty carpets in room and hallway. Pool room way too hot, pool water too hot, pool old and cracked and looked filthy. Did not swim. Breakfast boring. Fruit tasted funny. Decaf coffee was like drinking sludge.
