I tried to cancel due to the hurricane but wasn't allowed. I didn't end up staying but got charged.

The hotel stay was awful. Nowhere was it listed the hotel was undergoing major renovations - half the hotel was closed. Trash and debris from interior rooms were piled outside the hotel blocking half the hotels parking. We were awoken each morning before 8 am to construction noise. The water was shut off during the middle of the day during the renovation with nothing but a notice posted in the ele...

The ONLY positive...the location. Otherwise, could hear everything from surrounding rooms and from outside, and EVERYTHING was filthy...and stained. Also, the A/C sounded like an old broken boiler firing up every time it came on. Incredibly loud. Much akin to a seedy motel...not worth $50 for the night.

Normally Hampton Inns are a safe bet when traveling. This one just really needs work. AC didn’t work well, floors sticky, hair in shower, dreary appearance. Just not worth the money.

Cons (-) There was hair on the towels and stains on the floor that looked like something had spilled and no one cleaned it up. Cabinets were dusty as though they had not been cleaned in years. Alarm clock was sticky. No hotel bar. Business center is in the same place as lobby. And, inexplicably, the hotel blasts pop music at a loud volume through all hours of the day and night in the drive through in the f...

Pros (+) Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff very attentive and friendly to folks during breakfast. Made sure that breakfast area and tables were kept clean throughout. No shortages. I observed staff being particularly helpful to those customers that were elderly. Very nice to see.
Cons (-) TV was very slow to react to remote for those few times that I watched it.
