Will, Jul 2025 - Hampton Inn San Diego/Mission Valley
The bathroom needed some maintenance. Lights were burned out in the vanity mirror light fixture. It made the bathroom very dim. Also, The breakfast station was not staffed sufficiently to keep up with the crowds. The food was frequently out, and it took some time for the staff to catch up. Also, the bathroom downstairs near the breakfast area needs to be cleaned more often. If it was filthy at som...

Elevator was extremely slow and no efficient. Room was clean but dated. View we got was of the train station, even though I had requested a bay view. I’m a diamond status with Hilton but wasn’t recognized by the staff. Not the Hampton experience I am used to yet it was expensive in comparison to other Hampton I’ve stayed at. Really good location to cruise terminal

The hotel was nice but very loud. I could hear people outside in the parking lot and the hallway. I was woken up or kept awake by the noise both nights. Kids were screaming down hallways at 6 AM and doors slammed often. I am not sure there is any way to prevent this but it prevents quality sleep.

It's a mediocre hotel in a great location. Beds and pillows were not that comfortable. Air conditioning is noisy, walls are thin. Breakfast was neither great nor terrible, but it's free so can't complain about that. There is no hotel shuttle despite it showing a shuttle listed in the amenities. It's in a great location, easy walk to the Waterfront and Little Italy. And it's cheaper than most other...

Pros (+) I loved that there was wine for me and my friends at the hotel. I loved how classy my stay was, and they were super helpful carrying my stuff for my luggage! The best part of my stay was amazing bob! He was so polite, and helpful! You can genuinely tell that he cares a lot about the guests that stay here. He was so friendly and made the checking in process a breeze! I will for sure come back here ...
Cons (-) I wish the hot tub was open but it’s COVID so not really the hotels fault.

Pros (+) Breakfast was ample and varied.
Cons (-) Some of the staff was not as helpful as they could be. We got conflicting and insufficient information from various staff members regarding shuttles, etc. Seemed eager to say “can’t help you” rather than “how can I help”. Not all, but some staff.

DJB, Oct 2019 - Hampton Inn & Suites San Diego Airport Liberty Station
Pros (+) You cannot beat the central location and nearness to the airport. We were right next to the airport but we weren't hearing the airport noise at all. Parking was trouble free and the room was spacious, we weren't tripping over each other. Amenities were adequate. I liked the ease of being on the first floor. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Plenty of plugs for all of our electronics. We weren’...
Cons (-) We had initial issues with the automatic curtains. The person at the front desk {night crew) was not familiar with how to work the auto blinds. We figured it out finally. Maybe posting instructions (pictograph) would be helpful? Bathroom was wonderful. Instead of soap bars would have rather had shower gel/body wash. The tub had a chip on the rim despite being brand new. For the tub, no non-skid st...
