Pros:

Very nice and courteous staff. The car was excellent, almost brand new, and drove great. The pick up and drop off were quick and easy.

Cons:

I did not receive any receipt or acknowledgement when I returned the vehicle. The car was checked in quickly but the agent said he would email the receipt and I had to call back the next day to request the receipt.

The eToll reader was $129 for unlimited tolls. I had to use the tunnel on my way to return the car so we will see how much they charge me for a $4.00 toll.

I purchased the dealer’s choice and the advertisement said that they decide what to give me based on the size of my party. I got there and they said “dealers choice today is the smallest option. You have to upgrade”. That’s false advertising.

This facility hasn’t incorporated their new fast pass system where your can get a QR code to check out. Reagan Airport has it and makes a big difference.

We stood in line for over 2 hours and then I'm the end were given a plug in hybrid car that had not been plugged in, had been smoked in which made my wife and kids nauseous, the car had been configured with weird and frustrating restrictions that wouldn't allow me to disable the incredibly intrusive and inaccurate parking sensors that beeped constantly, even when driving down the road at one point. Imagine the car yelling at you for being too close to every car passing you in the other lane. Turning the car in could not have been easier, everything else about this rental was absolutely terrible. I will never use budget again after this

This is the second time I have booked a Budget rental through Kayak / Expedia and Budget has had NO cars when I arrived. Everyone was pushed to the AVIS counter, of which I was 30th in line. After waiting over an hour and seeing little progress, I cancelled my reservation, rebooked with HERTZ, and had a car in 20 min. I paid extra to do so, but avoided a lot of frustration. I doubt I will book any rental car with Kayak in the future as this was the second terrible experience I had at BWI specifically.

Car was fine but wow the worst pick up experience ever. Waited forever in line with one person working. Took almost as long as my flight. The computer system was old and slow I had to run my credit card three times. When we finally went to exit no one was at the kiosk and we had to wait again until she came back to check us out.

We showed up for our reservation only to be greeted by a sign at the counter saying “ no cars available “. We had to scramble and rent from another company at twice the price. There was no one at the counter. Why is kayak booking reservations for Payless at BWI if they clearly aren’t running?

Nothing to like. Our 'reserved' car was not available at noon, as scheduled. We arrived, on time, for pick-up, and (after waiting in line for 1/2 hour) were informed that they were out of vehicles (as they informed those in line in front of us). Their message was, "if we would like to wait, there 'may' be a vehicle available to us in 4 hours"..... When you need to be somewhere three plus hours away for an event, that is absolutely unacceptable. We cancelled our reservation and were informed that, since we were not picking up a vehicle, our third party reservation company would know. Of course, and not surprisingly, they were unable/unwilling to provide me with any kind of receipt to confirm this. A terrible way to start a vacation weekend!

Badly negative. 4 hours waiting for a car. At last, there was no cars available. I Had to cancel and get another company in same station.at airport. Employees at desk were rude and uncompromising. They should not be at front desk with public.

Car had some decent damage. My car was not ready… so could wait 45 minutes or pay for an upgrade, which didn’t seam right… but I was in a rush. No one voluntarily reviewed car with me… but I insisted because of the damage. Tank was supposed to be full… but it was less than half. Seamed a bit sketchy overall… but ended up ok. Car could have been cleaner. Fingerprints still clearly visible in dash screen. Candy wrapper in center console… and stuff on front bumper and grill. A C overall in terms of feel… but a decent BMW 5 series sedan for a reasonable price

This was my first rental car in years, and they were over booked for the day, and had no Vehicles that matched our booking. They stayed late and upgraded our selections for the inconvenience. Great customer service.
