I used the skipped the line feature when checking in and the car that I was given, had no lower anchors for car seats so the remedy was I had to wait in line at the desk which completely defeated the skip the line process, even though the car parked next to the original car did have low anchors. Unhappy toddlers mixed with a long line made this for a very poor experience when it could’ve just been “pick any of these in this section.”Reviewed Aug 24 2026

Had to cancel because despite advice from Hertz before I booked, my additional driver could not pick up vehicle I made reservation for. Also Hertz couldn’t take my DL # off an old company account, even though my personal gold # was older & had my DL but date was expired. Great AI experience- would not direct me to liver person & cost $200+ for cancellation fee & 3rd party insurance scam that wouldn’t cancel.Reviewed Aug 23 2026

The people and the process were totally fine and I would say as good as expected. The problem I experienced was the extreme odor in the vehicle, it smelled like cigars and the second issue is receiving a vehicle with less than a full tank of gas and then being expected to return it with the same amount of gas is nearly impossible, so you run the risk of either paying more for fuel than you should have or returning it with less fuel than they determined. You should have and be penalized for it. In my opinion, they should always be completely full of fuel before you drive off simple enough.Reviewed Aug 21 2026

Extremely disappointing experience. I booked a one-way rental to pick up in Page and return to Hertz in Las Vegas, but when I arrived in Page, I was told they would not honor the reservation because I was returning at a different Hertz location. The woman at the customer service desk was very rude and, when I tried to make a new reservation to return to Page, she told me they were an affiliate and refused to make a new reservation. I was left without a car for 3 days in an area where Uber drivers are not available. What makes this even more frustrating is that this location closes at 5:00 PM, before the only daily flight into Page arrives. This makes absolutely no sense. I ended up without a car for three days, had to pay extra for taxis, new flight and hotel reservations and lost valuable vacation time and sightseeing opportunities. I also had to cancel my return flight from Las Vegas and book a new, more expensive flight from Page, which cut my vacation short by a day. I did not receive a refund for my original flight either. I also had to change my itinerary completely. Most of all, I was horrified at the customer service representative's disrespectful attitude and unwillingness to help in any way. While I was at the location, I heard multiple other customers complaining about this specific Hertz location. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend using Avis, which I ultimately had to use instead.Reviewed Aug 17 2026

⭐ 1 Star — Absolutely Terrible Customer Service I reserved a full-size truck online through Hertz, with a 5:00 PM pickup time clearly specified on my reservation. I arrived at 5:00 PM only to be told they had no trucks available. No advance notice, no phone call, no email—nothing. Instead of helping resolve the problem, the employee gave me a phone number for the downtown location and essentially sent me on my way. I called the number and was first routed through an AI system, then transferred to an overseas call center where communication was extremely difficult. The representative’s solution? Give me a list of local Hertz offices and tell me to call around myself to see if anyone had the vehicle Hertz had already confirmed and reserved for me. I honestly cannot believe this is how a legitimate national rental car company operates. What is the point of making a reservation if Hertz doesn’t have the vehicle and makes the customer hunt around town for one? I finally called Enterprise down the street, made a reservation, and they took care of me. Hertz turned what should have been a simple rental into a complete waste of time.
